Wendle is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Wendle started the past four games and will take a seat Sunday against left-hander Patrick Sandoval. Yandy Diaz will work at the hot corner while Ji-Man Choi starts at first base.

Correa went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Saturday in a win over the Tigers.

Correa broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning with his 15th blast of the year, taking Detroit closer Michael Fulmer deep to left field. He's riding a seven-game hitting streak, with multi-hit efforts in three of them. A free-agent following the 2021 season, Correa is setting himself up for a big payday if he can continue to avoid the injuries that have plagued him in the past. He's slashing .305/.399/.540 in 316 plate appearances, adding 19 doubles and a team-leading 41 walks.

DeJong went 1-for-2 with a home run, a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Pirates.

DeJong launched his ninth homer of the season in the second inning against Pittsburgh's starter, JT Brubaker, and he also made his presence felt on the basepaths when he stole his third base of the campaign. The shortstop ended a 12-game homer drought with this solo shot and also improved to 3-for-3 in stolen bases chances.

Berti went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Nationals.

Berti broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning when he went yard off of Washington starter Patrick Corbin. It was the fourth round-tripper of the season for Berti, who also picked up a single. The veteran utilityman, who got the start at third base, is slashing .224/.324/.350 across 214 plate appearances. Berti has five steals on the year but has also been caught four times.

Ahmed will sit Saturday against San Diego.

Ahmed has accomplished very little at the plate this season, hitting .212/.271/.302 with a single homer in 64 games. The 31-year-old sits for the second time in three games and could potentially see his role diminish going forward, with the 21-56 Diamondbacks incentivized to test out some younger options. However, the fact that he's under contract through 2024 may give him the opportunity to work through his struggles on the field. Josh Rojas will be the shortstop Saturday.

Seager (hand) worked out at Dodger Stadium on Friday, fielding ground balls and making throws from shortstop, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

While Seager's workout suggests that his broken right hand has been healing as hoped, it's also a reminder that the shortstop isn't quite ready for a weekend rehab assignment as previously planned. In fact, according to MLB.com, Seager will remain with the Dodgers during their current homestand, which runs until Tuesday. He could head out for rehab work shortly thereafter, and there remains a good chance he'll be back with the big club in early July.

Swanson went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 win over the Reds.

The shortstop provided Atlanta's second run by taking Vladimir Gutierrez deep in the sixth inning. Swanson is only hitting .216 (19-for-88) in June but he's otherwise been productive, adding five homers, two steals, 11 runs and 13 RBI to his ledger through 24 games.

Ahmed went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 11-5 loss to San Diego.

Ahmed, who has multiple hits in two of the last three games, is fighting out of a second prolonged slump in 2021. He hit .073 (3-for-41) over a 12-game stretch to start the season, then put up identical numbers over the same number of games from June 5-20. The shortstop is slashing a disappointing .212/.271/.302 over 230 plate appearances.

Adames went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and a strikeout in Friday's 5-4 win over the Rockies.

Adames completed the Brewers' late-game comeback Friday by homering off Daniel Bard in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the contest, and he also reached base with a pair of singles in the narrow win. His home run was his second since June 5, but the 25-year-old has now had three multi-hit performances in his last seven games, batting .379 with two homers, six RBI and five runs during that time.

Crawford went 2-for-6 with a stolen base in Friday's 9-3 win over the White Sox.

The shortstop extended his hitting streak to 11 games Friday, going 18-for-49 (.367) in that span. Crawford was one of five Mariners to record multiple hits in a balanced team effort at the dish. The 26-year-old has a .285/.342/.405 slash line with five home runs, 30 RBI, 35 runs scored and three stolen bases in six attempts across 301 plate appearances. While his walk rate is a career-low 8.0 percent, Crawford has been an effective leadoff hitter since Jarred Kelenic was sent down to Triple-A Tacoma.
