Featherston was designated for assignment Saturday.

The Phillies needed to clear room on the 40-man roster in order to select the contract of reliever Joely Rodriguez, so Featherston was the casualty. He has now failed to make himself valuable in two talent-deprived organizations (Phillies and Angels) and should simply serve as organizational depth going forward wherever he ends up.

Turner went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and a game-winning solo shot in Friday's 5-4 victory over the Phillies.

The dynamic leadoff man was the hero, blasting a ninth-inning solo shot off reliever Frank Herrmann to send the Nationals home winners. Turner had also extended the Washington lead to 4-1 in the seventh with a 409-foot two-run shot that plated Danny Espinosa. After an August where he slashed .357/.366/.571, Turner has now started September with multihit outings in five of his first eight games, including three homers and eight RBI over that span.

D'Arnaud had a wart removed from his foot and will be out for a few days, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.

Daniel Castro was recalled to bolster the team's middle-infield depth while d'Arnaud is unavailable. D'Arnaud has seen his at-bats dry up (four at-bats this month) and he hasn't contributed much when given an opportunity, but he figures to compete for a utility role in spring training.

Ahmed was transferred to the 60-day DL on Friday.

This was simply a procedural move to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for the returning Rubby De La Rosa (elbow). Ahmed was already ruled out for the season after undergoing hip surgery in late August.

Castro was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

Castro shuttled between the majors and the minors all season, but he should be up with Atlanta for good now that the active rosters expanded. That being said, the 23-year-old likely won't garner too much playing time with Jace Peterson, Adonis Garcia, and Dansby Swanson locking down the infield positions at the moment.

Arcia went 3-for-5 with a homer and three runs against the Cardinals on Thursday.

The well-regarded prospect started off quite slowly, notching just a .184/.259/.296 line over his first 28 games. But he's been coming on over the last six games, going 10-for-21 with two doubles, a triple, a homer and a 4:2 BB:K. That's good stuff, but don't get overly excited -- as great as Arcia's potential is, he didn't even put up big numbers in Triple-A this year. Stay patient with him in keeper formats; in yearly leagues, there may be better options available off the wire.

Rojas (groin) remains out of the lineup Wednesday, according to Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.

Rojas is not a regular for the Marlins and often comes off the bench, so the extent of his setback is not certain. However, he has not played since exiting early Monday, so he is presumably still not 100 percent.

Swanson went 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run and three RBI in the Braves' 9-6 loss at the hands of the Nationals.

The home run was Swanson's first of his big league career, and came about because Nationals center fielder Trea Turner, a converted shortstop, badly misplayed a bounce off the wall. Still, Swanson will take it, as it's his first home run as a big leaguer and just his 11th at any professional level. The highly-touted rookie is now hitting .254/.297/.339 after 16 games with the Braves this season.

Rojas (groin) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies, according to Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.

Rojas started Monday for the second straight day, but he also left the contest early after injuring his groin. It's not yet clear how long he will be out, but he will be given at least one day to rest and recover. Adeiny Hechavarria will man the shortstop position for the Marlins on Tuesday night

Seager scored twice, drove in three runs and hit his 24th home run in a 3-for-5 game Monday against the Diamondbacks.

Seager went on a power tear in August, with seven doubles, five home runs and a .552 slugging percentage over 27 games last month. It looks like he's ready for more of the same in September. Seager's season slugging percentage is up to .535, second only to Manny Machado among qualified shortstops.
