Rockies' Trevor Story: Gets the Golden Sombrero

Story went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Story has been one of the biggest storylines this year, but it seems the league has beginning to adjust to him. The rookie shortstop has gone 2-for-16 after a seven-game hitting streak, and has struck out in 50 percent of his at-bats over that span.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Leaves Tuesday after getting hit by pitch

Ahmed left Tuesday's game after getting hit by a pitch in the jaw.

The team will release more information after he undergoes tests. Jean Segura also left after getting hit in the head by Arquimedes Caminero, who had no idea where the ball was going during his mop-up work Tuesday, so the Diamondbacks could be stretched pretty thin if Ahmed and Segura have to miss a game or two.

  • Daniel Castro SS | COL

Braves' Daniel Castro: Out of the lineup Tuesday against Brewers

Castro is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers.

Castro will be replaced by Kelly Johnson at second base after struggling to get a hit in his past four games. His batting average and on-base percentage have dropped to .221 and .287, respectively.

  • Braves' Chase d'Arnaud: Out of the lineup Tuesday

D'Arnaud is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers.

D'Arnaud has been getting a good amount of at-bats lately, playing in six of the Braves last eight games. He's slashing .361/.439/.528, but went without a hit during his last game against the Phillies. D'Arnaud will sit out Tuesday in favor of Gordon Beckham at third base and Erick Aybar at shortstop.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Two-run single helps Marlins to Monday win

Rojas plated a pair of RBI as part of a 3-for-4 effort during Monday's win over the Rays.

Rojas also scored a pair of runs on the evening while making the start at second base for the Marlins. Batting .311/.360/.378 on the season, Rojas is sharing time with Derek Dietrich at second while Dee Gordon continues to serve a suspension. He's in the lineup against most left-handed starters, but offers very little in terms of power or speed for fantasy owners.

  • Trevor Story SS | BOS

Rockies' Trevor Story: In Monday's lineup

Story is in the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.

Story was set to receive his first day off of the month Sunday, but the game was rained out, and the Rockies decided the impromptu team day off was enough rest. As he regularly does, Story will start at shortstop and hit second Monday afternoon.

  • Trevor Story SS | BOS

Rockies' Trevor Story: Held out Sunday

Story is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, according to MLB.com's Thomas Harding.

He's hitting .313 this month and tallied five hits over his last three games, but manager Walt Weiss decided it was time to give Story his first day off since April 26. Cristhian Adames will get the start at shortstop in Story's place.

  • Trevor Story SS | BOS

Rockies' Trevor Story: Collects another two hits in Saturday victory

Story went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Pirates.

The rookie shortstop continues rolling along, managing his eighth multi-hit game of May. He's tallied a stellar .313/.360/.500 line over 80 at-bats during the month, with the only blemish being that he's seen a steep drop-off in his power numbers. After blasting 10 homers in what was a memorable first month in the majors, Story has only a pair of long balls to date in May. However, the increase in OBP has certainly helped offset that, and has raised Story's average 24 points to .285.

  • Braves' Chase d'Arnaud: Tallies three-hit day in Saturday victory

d'Arnaud went 3-for-5 with a double in Saturday's 2-0 victory over the Phillies.

The 29-year-old led off and posted his second consecutive multi-hit game, and third in the last five. He's slashed an outstanding .394/.459/.576 to date in 33 major league at-bats, though he's yet to provide a homer or RBI. However, he's certainly shown a propensity for getting on base so far, which is affording him a nice dose of playing time.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Not in Friday's lineup

Ahmed is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals.

As good as Ahmed is defensively, he's been so bad offensively that it's negated his impact with the glove. The 26-year-old is now batting .188/.247/.297 on the season following an 0-for-3 showing Wednesday. Chris Owings will replace him at shortstop for Friday's game.
