  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Returns to lineup Thursday

Rojas (shoulder) is back in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds, The Miami Herald's Clark Spencer reports.

Rojas missed the past two games after suffering a shoulder injury during Monday's contest. The 28-year-old was able to finish that game, and appears to have only experienced a minor setback, as he's back in the lineup batting eighth for Thursday's series opener.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Not in Thursday's lineup

Baez is out of the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the White Sox.

Baez retreats to the bench for the second consecutive day after going 0-for-5 with five strikeouts in Tuesday's win over the cross-town rivals. Ben Zobrist earns another start at second while Addison Russell and Kris Bryant man the left side of the infield.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Goes deep again in win

DeJong went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

The rookie continued his long-ball tear, blasting a 395-foot shot in the first with a man on that erased an early 2-0 deficit and served as his fourth homer in the last five games. DeJong launched another quartet of round trippers in a seven-game stretch that was sandwiched around the All-Star break, so he's now accumulated more than half of his 14 homers on the season since July 7.

  • Orlando Arcia 2B | MIN

Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Not in Thursday's lineup

Arcia is out of the lineup Thursday against Washington.

Arcia will get a breather for the first time in July, while Eric Sogard slides over to man the shortstop position during Thursday's series finale. Throughout the course of this month, Arcia is hitting .295/.337/.410 with three home runs and four steals, and should return to the lineup for the opener against the Cubs on Friday.

  • Marlins' Dee Gordon: Hits first homer of 2017

Gordon went 2-for-6 with a solo home run and two runs scored during Wednesday's win over Texas.

It was a rare power sighting from Gordon, and the second baseman has really caught fire of late with a 14-for-44 stretch at the dish over his past 10 games. Fantasy owners would love to see a little improvement to his .335 on-base percentage to enable more opportunities for stolen bases, but it's tough to complain about Gordon's second-ranked 36 swipes.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Braves' Dansby Swanson: To be sent down to Triple-A

Swanson will be demoted to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Swanson has recently lost his starting role and was beginning to languish on the bench for Atlanta. He also went just 2-for-40 with 15 strikeouts over his last 15 games. The Braves will hope the change of scenery will allow Swanson to find his rhythm again. Expect him back by the time rosters expand in September at the latest. The corresponding roster move will likely be announced Thursday.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Has pins removed from hand

Ahmed (hand) had three pins surgically removed from his hand Wednesday, Jody Jackson of Fox Sports Arizona reports.

Ahmed is still experiencing some swelling in his hand, but this news at least means the rehabilitation progress can begin in earnest. The shortstop has been out since June 28 and isn't expected back until mid-August.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Held out Wednesday

Rojas (shoulder) is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rangers, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Rojas remains day-to-day with a shoulder injury, although more information on his status should come forth as the results of Tuesday's doctor visit are revealed. Mike Aviles will man shortstop in his stead Wednesday.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Nationals' Trea Turner: Remains locked into wrist brace

X-rays on Turner's wrist showed healing, but he still hasn't been cleared to partake in baseball activities without the use of a wrist brace, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

It seems like some progress has been made here, although it certainly isn't encouraging to hear that he can't shed the brace yet. That being said, he's been able to do a good amount of things while wearing the brace, such as weightlifting and fielding (without throwing), so it's not like this development completely hinders the speed demon's rehab. Unless things change drastically, it doesn't seem like he'll be ready until a good portion of August is already gone.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Sits out Wednesday

Baez is not in the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox.

Baez looked lost in Tuesday's win, as he wound up striking out five times in as many trips to the plate. He'll hit the bench to clear his head, allowing Ben Zobrist to move back to second base.
