  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Starts versus lefty

Crawford batted ninth and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 win over Oakland.

Crawford stuck in the lineup against a southpaw, but that could have been a result of manager Bruce Bochy's unofficial rule of rewarding players who homer with a start the next day. The 32-year-old needs to pick things up at the plate or run risk of losing playing time not only against southpaws, but also starts against righties in favor of hot-hitting Donovan Solano. Crawford's line sits at .231/.301/.364, making him virtually unusable in most formats this season.

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Doubles, drives in two

Edman went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 11-4 win over Colorado.

The rookie utility man collected three multi-hit games during the Cardinals' four-game sweep of the Rockies. Edman owns a .749 OPS with 31 runs scored since being called up in early June.

  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Marlins' Jon Berti: Knocks in another run

Berti went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Phillies.

Berti got the Marlins on the board in this one with an RBI single to right center. The 29-year-old put together a solid weekend at the dish, going 5-for-13 with a home run and three RBI over the three-game series.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Braves' Dansby Swanson: May return Monday

Swanson (foot) could be activated off the 10-day injured list for Monday's game at Colorado, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Swanson began his rehab assignment with Low-A Rome on Thursday and is 4-for-10 with three walks in three games. The 25-year-old has been sidelined since July 23 and would provide a major boost for the Braves as the regular season reaches its final month. Per Bowman, Swanson traveled to Denver on Sunday but isn't guaranteed to be activated immediately. He has a .265/.330/.468 slash line with 17 homers through 100 games.

  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Marlins' Jon Berti: Collects another steal

Berti went 1-for-3 with a stolen base, RBI and a run scored Saturday in the Marlins' 9-3 loss to the Phillies.

Berti reached base three times on the night, as he was also plunked twice by pitches. The Miami leadoff man has come up big through the first two games of the series against Philadelphia, going 4-for-9 with a home run, two steals, two RBI and three runs. He'll start at shortstop and occupy the table-setting role in the series finale Sunday, per Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Swats 10th homer

Crawford went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an RBI single and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-5 win over the Athletics.

Crawford's solo shot accounted for the Giants' first run in the contest. He would go on to plate Kevin Pillar in the eighth inning before scoring on Stephen Vogt's three-run homer. The shortstop has picked it up lately, going 8-for-21 with five runs scored and three RBI in his last six games. Overall, he's slashing .230/.302/.365 with 10 homers, 51 RBI and 50 runs scored in 118 games this season.

  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Out of Saturday's lineup

Arcia is not in the lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Arcia is out of the starting lineup for the first time in eight games. He's been fairly productive in that stretch, recording seven hits in 29 at-bats while also clubbing two homers. Recently recalled Cory Spangenberg will start in his place and bat eighth.

  • Pablo Reyes RF | SD

Pirates' Pablo Reyes: Draws start Saturday

Reyes is starting in right field and batting sixth Saturday against the Reds.

Reyes will draw a rare start after hitting a walkoff single in Friday's contest. On the other hand, he hasn't experienced much success in 82 plate appearances with the Pirates this season, hitting just .171/.232/.263 across 82 plate appearances. Melky Cabrera will get the day off to make room for Reyes.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Absent from Saturday's lineup

Seager is not in Saturday's lineup against the Yankees, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Seager will sit with southpaw CC Sabathia on the mound. He's hit well of late, reaching base at least once in 14 of his past 16 starts. Chris Taylor will fill in at shortstop in Seager's place, while Jedd Gyorko will enter the lineup and draw the start at first base.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Doubles, scores twice

Edman's seventh multi-hit effort of August pushed his monthly average to an impressive .293, with his season figure having risen 32 points to .273 since Aug. 9. The rookie has doubles in back-to-back games as well, and he's reached safely in seven consecutive starts.
