Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Marlins' Jon Berti: Sitting out series finale
Berti is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
Berti's time as the Marlins' everyday shortstop looks to be over with Miguel Rojas (hamstring) returning from the 10-day injured list Sunday, but the rookie should still see steady playing time thanks to his ability to play several other positions. The speedy 29-year-old has slashed .282/.363/.473 with four home runs, seven steals and 24 runs in 29 games since his own return from the IL on July 31.

Johan Camargo SS | SF
Braves' Johan Camargo: Rejoins Braves for September
Camargo was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
Carmargo struggled coming out of the All-Star break with a .191/.267/.294 slash line in 23 games before being demoted in mid-August. The 25-year-old figures to step back into a utility role, though he'll likely be relied upon less than he was earlier in the season.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Racks up three hits in nightcap
Edman went 3-for-4 with two runs in a win over the Reds in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday.
Edman generated his third three-hit effort of the last six games in the nightcap, putting a fitting finish on a successful month at the plate. The rookie produced an impressive .308 average during August, boosting his season figure 22 points to .283 in the process.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Back from injured list Sunday
Rojas (hamstring) was activated off the 10-day injured list Sunday and is leading off and starting at shortstop at Washington, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
Rojas completed a five-game rehab stint between High-A Jupiter and Triple-A New Orleans on Thursday, clearing the way for his return to the majors. The 30-year-old had a .267/.309/.427 slash line in 22 games after the All-Star break before going down with the right hamstring strain.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Not in lineup for matinee
DeJong is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Reds.
DeJong started both games of Saturday's doubleheader and will sit Sunday's matinee after going 1-for-8 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. Yairo Munoz will start at shortstop and bat eighth in his absence.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Out as expected
Crawford is not in the lineup Saturday against the Padres.
As expected, Crawford will get the day off with Mauricio Dubon getting the start at shortstop against lefty Joey Lucchesi in his stead. While the veteran infielder has struggled at the dish this season (.232/.302/.363 through 474 plate appearances), his defense has kept him in the lineup close to everyday.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Set for a breather Saturday
Crawford should be in line for a day off with Mauricio Dubon expected to start at shortstop Saturday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Crawford went 1-for-4 with a double in Friday's win over the Padres, but it appears that he will retreat to the bench with a southpaw slated to take the mound Saturday. The 32-year-old's production has fallen off a cliff this season (.232/.302/.363 over 474 plate appearances), but his plus defense is apparently enough to warrant near-everyday playing time for manager Bruce Bochy. Dubon is making his first start at shortstop this season, but the rookie figures to see most of his playing time at second base.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Launches 29th homer
Story went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and another run scored in Friday's loss to the Pirates.
Story wasted no time in getting the scoring started by taking Dario Agrazal deep for a leadoff homer. He also doubled and scored again in the fifth. The talented outfielder is now on a seven-game hitting streak, racking up 12 hits over the last seven games. On the season, Story is slashing .300/.363/.563 29 with 29 home runs, 97 runs scored, 34 doubles and 19 stolen bases.

Berti launched a leadoff solo home run in the first inning off Alex Wood to cut the Marlins deficit in half. The long ball was his sixth of the year and fourth of the month. Batting .272/.350/.451 overall this season, the 29-year-old has been turning up the heat lately as the Marlins' leadoff man.

Corey Seager SS | TEX

Seager went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI in a victory over the Padres on Wednesday.
Seager plated the Dodgers' first run with a groundout in the second inning and scored after leading off the eighth with a double. The two-bagger was his 14th in August and 38th overall this season, both tops in the National League. The 25-year-old is slashing .270/.342/.459 with 12 homers and 60 RBI this season.
