De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 7-3 loss to Milwaukee.

De La Cruz has steals in four straight and is up to 13 (caught twice) in 28 games since being promoted to the majors. The rookie also has hit safely in five straight, going 11-for-21 (.524) with three doubles, a home run, three RBI and five runs scored.

Lindor went 3-for-5 with a home run, two stolen bases, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Friday's 7-5 extra-inning win over the Padres.

He's homered in consecutive contests and recorded a pair of multi-steal efforts over his last four games. Lindor is swinging a hot bat, going 10-for-24 (.417) through six contests in July. He's up to 19 homers, 13 thefts, 60 RBI and 56 runs scored through 88 contests. He's batting just .239 on the year, but his .805 OPS is more in line with his steady production across the board.

Adames went 2-for-5 with a homer, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win against the Reds.

Adames doubled in a run in the first inning before ripping a two-run shot in the fifth. It's been a tough year for the slugging shortstop but he's starting to come around lately; after an 0-for-22 slump, Adames has gone 10-for-33 (.303) with seven extra-base hits and nine RBI over his last eight games. However, his season slash line still sits at .209/.293/.395 through 338 plate appearances.

Perdomo is not in the lineup Friday against the Pirates.

Perdomo has emerged as an everyday presence for the Diamondbacks this season and was just named as a replacement on the NL All-Star team, but he's quietly slumping and has gone 1-for-20 over his last seven games. Nick Ahmed will start at shortstop and bat eighth Friday versus Pittsburgh.

Tovar is batting leadoff for the Rockies on Friday against the Giants.

It's just the second career appearance at leadoff for the 21-year-old shortstop, though he has been batting second a lot on his recent hot streak. Tovar boasts a .309/.330/.509 slash line with five homers and two steals in 28 games (115 plate appearances) since the beginning of June.

Swanson (heel) is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Yankees.

Swanson will remain out of the lineup for a second straight game after injuring his left heel Wednesday against the Brewers. Nico Hoerner will take over at shortstop while Christopher Morel draws the start at second base and bats fifth in the series opener with New York.

The Cardinals placed Edman on the 10-day injured list Friday with right wrist inflammation.

Edman has missed the Cardinals' last two games due to issues in his right wrist. Although his MRI came back clean Thursday, his injury is apparently still severe enough to warrant a trip to the injured list. Edman will be eligible to return from the IL a few days after the All-Star break, and Jose Fermin will come up from Triple-A Memphis to take Edman's place on the roster.

Abrams went 0-for-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases in Thursday's extra-inning loss to the Reds.

After reaching on a fielder's choice in the sixth inning, Abrams stole second and third before trotting home on a Lane Thomas single. Abrams is beginning to flash the upside that made him the sixth overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, slashing .314/.375/.510 over his last 15 games with 10 runs scored and five of his 11 steals on the year.

Lindor went 5-for-5 with a solo home run, two additional runs scored and two triples in Thursday's 9-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Lindor racked up 12 total bases, though he fell a double short of the cycle after logging his second single of the game in the eighth inning. He'd posted four multi-hit efforts while batting .268 over the previous 16 contests, but this was a career-best five-hit game for the shortstop. For the season, the 29-year-old is up to a .233/.316/.472 slash line with 18 homers, 57 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases through 87 contests.

Rojas is out of the lineup Thursday versus the Pirates.

Mookie Betts will start at shortstop and bat leadoff. Rojas has slashed just .237/.275/.289 through 60 games this season with the Dodgers, who are likely to be on the hunt for middle-infield help ahead of the Aug. 1 trade deadline.
