Anderson went 3-for-5 with three singles, an RBI, a stolen base and three runs scored in Monday's 12-1 victory over the Royals.

The three-hit performance raised Anderson's average to just .208 on the season, and he has only three extra-base hits in his 74 plate appearances on the young season. The 23-year-old may continue to struggle with the stick as he matures. His only real asset for fantasy owners are his wheels, and his steal Monday was only his second of the year. Anderson has plenty of upside, but he's only useful for his speed right now in deep mixed and AL-only leagues.

Diaz was promoted from Double-A New Hampshire to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

Diaz owns an underwhelming .225/.350/.292 slash line over eight minor-league seasons. The 32-year-old infielder has logged just 55 major-league at-bats since being drafted in 2006 by Toronto, and his window of opportunity to reappear in MLB has all but officially closed. It would take an overwhelming series of injuries for Diaz to get back under the bright lights.

Lindor went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the White Sox.

The shortstop's fourth-inning shot tied him with Jose Ramirez for the team lead in home runs with five. Lindor is off to a powerful start in comparison to previous campaigns. In 2015 and 2016, it took him 165 and 237 plate appearances, respectively, to reach five homers. This year, he got there in just 82 chances. Last season saw Lindor heat up with the weather, so this quick jump out of the gate has given the 23-year-old a head start on putting up big-time numbers in 2017.

Correa went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run during Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.

It's been an awful start for the shortstop, as he's currently sporting a .197/.286/.295 slash line. However, Correa is locked into the heart of the lineup and posted a respectable .812 OPS during his age-21 campaign, so there is no questioning his talent and fantasy upside. Additionally, the homer probably proves he's completely past the hand contusion that cost him three games earlier this week.

Pennington entered Friday's game after Yunel Escobar went down with a non-contact injury. He went 0-for-3 in a loss to Toronto.

It is still unclear what exactly caused Escobar to leave Friday's contest, but Pennington should be the main beneficiary of playing time should the Angels' third baseman miss any time. The 32-year-old has struggled as a backup this season, slashing just .182/.357/.182, but with a little bit of pop and speed, he could get some deep-league looks as a middle infielder if Escobar hits the disabled list.

Bogaerts (thumb) is back in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles.

A thumb issue kept Bogaerts out of the lineup Friday, but he was able to come in as a defensive replacement at shortstop late in the game. He'll lead off Saturday with the Red Sox facing left-hander Jayson Aquino. Bogaerts has just one extra-base hit on the year, but he's getting on base at an impressive .373 clip.

Bogaerts (thumb) entered Friday's game after starting shortstop Marco Hernandez was lifted for a pinch hitter in Boston's 2-0 loss to the Orioles.

Bogaerts wasn't in Friday's starting lineup after experiencing discomfort in his thumb following a head-first slide Thursday. He was able to hit in the cage Friday, suggesting his return was imminent. That the Red Sox felt comfortable having him play the field Friday suggests he could be back for full-time duty Saturday.

Bogaerts (thumb) took swings in the batting cage Friday and will receive treatment throughout the day, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports.

Bogaerts did feel a bit of soreness in his swings, but it seems like the problem isn't too big of a deal. There is speculation that the young shortstop could return to the lineup as early as Saturday, so keep an eye on his status as Saturday's start time approaches.

Anderson is batting leadoff and starting at shortstop for Friday's game against the Indians.

It will be just the fourth time this season that Anderson finds himself at the top of the order, but it could serve to jump-start his offensive production. Anderson has been left searching for answers while slashing just .164/.179/.236 this season with 14 strikeouts over 13 games. Tyler Saladino gets the day off.

Bogaerts (thumb) is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener with the Orioles, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

The All-Star shortstop appeared to injure his thumb sliding headfirst into second base in Thursday's contest, so it seems that the Red Sox are holding him out to give the ailment a bit more time to heal. It's unclear what exactly the problem is or how severe it is, but in the meantime, Marco Hernandez will pick up a start at shortstop in his stead. Consider Bogaerts day-to-day for the time being.
