Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Rays.

Correa singled in his first at-bat before crushing a leadoff homer his second time around to put the Twins up 1-0 in the top of the fourth. It was his seventh long ball of the season and his first since May 13 against the Cubs as the shortstop continues to try and gut it out while dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left heel. Correa's average now sits at .210 following the two-hit outing Thursday, and he's gone just 4-for-24 at the plate over his last six games.

Anderson isn't in the White Sox's lineup for Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Yankees.

Anderson went 1-for-5 at the plate in Game 1 and will get a rare break during the nightcap. Elvis Andrus will take Anderson's spot at shortstop and bat ninth.

Chang (wrist) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

A hamate fracture in Chang's left wrist forced him onto the injured list in late April. He played one rehab game at Double-A in late June before a setback caused him to pause his assignment. Chang resumed playing with Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday and will likely get a few more at-bats in before returning Monday. The 27-year-old infielder was slashing .136/.174/.341 through 47 plate appearances before getting injured.

Charles was promoted from the Arizona Complex League to Single-A Columbia on Thursday.

The 6-foot-4 shortstop got over $400,000 from Kansas City in the 20th round of last year's draft based on his upside on both sides of the ball. At 19 years old, he was old for the complex level, but Charles' game needs some refinement. He hit .455 with one home run in 11 at-bats before the promotion.

Volpe is absent from the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader versus the White Sox, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Volpe will surely be back in the lineup for the nightcap, but he'll begin the afternoon game on the bench. Oswaldo Cabrera is getting the start at shortstop in the first game.

Mateo is absent from the lineup for Thursday's tilt in Milwaukee, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

It's a routine day off for Mateo after he had started each of the previous 14 contests. Gunnar Henderson will play shortstop Thursday.

Smith went 2-for-5 in a win over the Pirates on Wednesday.

Drawing his first start since being recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Smith delivered his first multi-hit effort since April 26. The 26-year-old infielder had produced just a .184 average and .521 OPS with the Athletics during his previous 82 plate appearances with the team this season, and he's expected to be given an extended look at shortstop this time around with the hopes he can replicate some of the success he's enjoyed with the Aviators down on the farm (.282 average, .972 OPS).

Reyes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Though manager Alex Cora suggested Monday that Enrique Hernandez could be moved off shortstop on a more frequent basis, Hernandez will end up manning the position for a second straight day Wednesday. Had the Red Sox elected to commit to a change, Reyes likely would have benefited the most in the short term, but he instead looks as though he'll remain in a utility role for the time being.

Pena is absent from the lineup Wednesday at Toronto.

Mauricio Dubon will start at shortstop and bat leadoff versus the Blue Jays and right-hander Chris Bassitt. Pena struck out in all four of his plate appearances Tuesday as the Astros fell 5-1 to the Jays.

Duran is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Cardinals.

Duran has now started three of five contests since returning from the injured list. The Rangers will go with Josh Smith in left field and Jonah Heim at designated hitter while Sandy Leon catches for starting pitcher Jon Gray.
