Zack Greinke SP | KC
Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke: Start pushed to Saturday
Greinke (neck) will start Saturday against the Blue Jays, Jody Jackson of FOX Sports Arizona reports.
Greinke apparently dealt with a bit of a stiff neck during his previous outing, during which he allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out two in four innings. While his neck is responding well, the Diamondbacks want to play it safe and give the veteran right-hander an extra day of rest before his next outing. As such, he'll flip places in the rotation with Merrill Kelly, who is now scheduled to start Friday's series opener in Toronto.

Cal Quantrill RP | TEX
Padres' Cal Quantrill: Summoned ahead of start
Quantrill was recalled from Triple-A El Paso ahead of his scheduled start against the Phillies on Wednesday.
Quantrill has made four starts for the Padres this season, compiling a 5.14 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB in 21 innings during those appearances. The right-hander has a chance to stick in the rotation for another turn if he holds his own Wednesday, as fellow starter Matt Strahm (ribs) was sent to the injured list in a corresponding move.

Michael Wacha SP | KC
Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Solid in relief during loss
Wacha fired 2.1 scoreless innings in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday, allowing two hits and recording three strikeouts.
Wacha's strong showing was diametrically opposite to his first relief appearance, a disastrous one-inning outing against the Phillies last Wednesday when he yielded six earned runs on five hits and three walks. Wacha needed only 32 pitches to record his seven outs Tuesday, and his smooth performance offers some hope he could be serviceable as a multi-inning bullpen option for manager Mike Shildt.

Joey Lucchesi RP | LAA
Padres' Joey Lucchesi: Slated to start Thursday
Lucchesi is listed as the Padres' probable starter for Thursday's game against the Nationals.
Heading into the week, Lucchesi was initially lined up to start Wednesday against the Phillies, but he'll be pushed back a day in the pitching schedule with the Padres bringing up Cal Quantrill from Triple-A El Paso to start the series finale with Philadelphia. The addition of Quantrill is mainly designed to build in an extra rest day for Chris Paddack and Matt Strahm, but the Padres probably won't mind that another one of their prized young hurlers in Lucchesi receives another day off between starts.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Wins sixth straight start
Ryu (9-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 9-0 victory over the Diamondbacks, scattering three hits over seven scoreless innings while striking out two.
The veteran lefty was pitching to contact, which didn't seem like a great plan when the Dodgers committed two errors behind him in the first inning. However, Ryu escaped the early jam and proceeded to not allow a baserunner past second base the rest of the night. It's his sixth straight win and eighth consecutive quality start, and he'll carry a dazzling 1.35 ERA and 71:5 K:BB through 80 innings into a road start against the Angels next Monday.

Luis Castillo SP | CHW
Reds' Luis Castillo: Ends mini slump
Castillo held the Cardinals to one run over six innings to get the win Tuesday, striking out eight while allowing two hits and four walks.
The only run against Castillo came on the first batter he faced, a leadoff homer by Matt Carpenter. Castillo's last two outings were shakier, especially a 2.2-inning start against the Brewers on May 22. The four walks are a bit of a concern -- he now has allowed 11 walks in his last three starts, covering 14 innings.

Chris Paddack RP | TEX
Padres' Chris Paddack: Struggles again in loss
Paddack (4-4) suffered the loss against Philadelphia on Tuesday, giving up six runs (five earned) in 4.1 innings. He did not walk a batter but allowed eight hits while striking out four.
The rookie was hit hard for the third time in a four-start stretch that has seen his ERA rise from 1.55 to 2.97. The primary culprit has been the long ball; after allowing only two home runs in his first seven starts, he has now served up seven during the four-game rough patch, including two in Tuesday's loss. It bears mentioning that Paddack's last two appearances have come after he was scratched from a start May 29 with neck stiffness, though Paddack has yet to mention any lingering soreness. He'll look to get back on track when he faces the Nationals on Sunday in his next scheduled start.

Jerad Eickhoff SP | PIT
Phillies' Jerad Eickhoff: Picks up third win
Eickhoff (3-3) allowed three runs in six innings and picked up the win against San Diego on Tuesday, giving up four hits and striking out five. He did not walk a batter.
Handed the task of snapping Philadelphia's five-game losing streak, Eickhoff was up to the challenge, earning both his first quality start and first win in nearly a month. He did so by limiting the Padres to five baserunners and allowing only one ball to leave the yard after having surrendered multiple home runs in each of his previous four starts. After an effective April in which he posted a 2.12 ERA in 17 innings of work, Eickhoff struggled with a 5.17 ERA in 31 innings in May. He'll look to build upon a positive start to June when he faces Arizona on Monday in his next scheduled start.

Max Fried SP | NYY
Braves' Max Fried: Struggles again on longer rest
Fried allowed five runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and two walks across four innings during a no-decision against the Pirates on Tuesday.
The Braves' offense bailed out Fried, coming back from an early four-run deficit. Fried gave up all five of his runs with two outs in the first and second innings, and many of the hits he allowed came in two-strike counts. He simply didn't have enough swing-and-miss stuff to finish batters Tuesday night. Fried also has a pattern of struggling in starts following extended rest. He owns a 8.10 ERA in four starts for which he had at least five days of rest this season. Overall, Fried is 7-3 with a 3.68 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 59 strikeouts in 66 innings. He is scheduled to face the Marlins on the road in his next start Sunday.

Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Handed another no-decision
Syndergaard did not factor in the decision Tuesday against the Giants. He allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four over 6.2 innings.
Syndergaard lost his chance at the win after being pulled with two outs in the seventh inning and a runner on first base, as Seth Lugo entered and gave up a single and a double to allow the run to score and tie the game 3-3. According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, manager Mickey Callaway indicated after the game he regretted the decision to remove Syndergaard. The 26-year-old will look to deliver a third straight quality start Sunday versus the Rockies.
