Nola allowed a run on two hits and three walks with six strikeouts across six innings in the Phillies' 4-2 win over the Marlins on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision.

Nola pitched well enough to win, but Miami's eighth-inning rally against reliever Sam Coonrod denied Philadelphia's ace a decision. The right-handed starter has a 3.72 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 76:13 K:BB across 65.1 innings. The three walks he issued Wednesday marked a season high and he's now gone four starts without a win, a streak he'll look to end next week in Cincinnati.

Paddack allowed one earned run on two hits and no walks while striking out two across six innings Wednesday in the Padres' 2-1 win over the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.

Paddack worked very efficiently, requiring only 68 pitchers to record his 18 outs. He generated only four swinging strikes, but he still limited the damage to only a solo home run off the bat of opposing pitcher Eric Lauer. Paddack is starting to return to his 2019 form, as he's completed consecutive six-inning outings and has allowed only three earned runs across his last 16 frames. For the season, Paddack now has a 3.61 ERA, though he has managed only 36 strikeouts across 42.1 frames.

Williams (3-2) pitched six innings of one-run ball to earn the win Wednesday against the Pirates. He allowed three hits and no walks while striking out seven.

Making his third appearance of the season against his former team, Williams was much sharper than in the previous two outings, when he allowed seven earned runs across just 7.1 innings. This was also the longest the righty has lasted in a game since his first start of the year back on April 5, and he was just one off his season high in strikeouts. Williams will look to build on the strong outing in his next scheduled start Monday against the Padres.

Marquez won't start as scheduled Wednesday against the Mets since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday, so Marquez figures to start one of those contests for the Rockies.

Lauer was recalled by the Brewers ahead of his scheduled start against the Padres on Wednesday.

Lauer was sent to Triple-A Nashville on May 15 and allowed one hit and two walks while striking out 12 in five innings during his lone start with the minor-league club. Lauer made four appearances (two starts) for Milwaukee earlier in the year and recorded a 2.81 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 16 innings. Right-hander Josh Lindblom was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

The Cardinals will call up Oviedo from Triple-A Memphis to start Friday's game against the White Sox, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

With Miles Mikolas (forearm) having recently returned to the injured list and the Cardinals' next off day not coming until June 7, Oviedo will join the big club while it temporarily rolls out a six-man rotation. Oviedo has previously made four appearances (three starts) for St. Louis this season, posting a 5.74 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 13:9 K:BB in 15.2 innings. After Friday's outing, Oviedo will presumably make another start during next week's series in Cincinnati before he likely heads back to Memphis.

Morton (3-2) earned the win Tuesday against the Red Sox after allowing an unearned run on three hits and two walks while fanning nine across seven innings.

Morton has given up one or fewer runs in three of his last four starts and also tied his season-high mark for strikeouts in this one. The veteran lowered his ERA to 3.98 and will try to extend his hot streak in his next start, scheduled for Sunday against the Mets on the road.

Burnes (2-4) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs on two hits and three walks over six innings as the Brewers fell 7-1 to the Padres. He struck out seven.

The right-hander uncharacteristically had some trouble finding the plate, tossing 58 of 95 pitches for strikes, but he still did an effective job limiting traffic on the basepaths. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for his catcher -- the Padres made life miserable for Omar Narvaez by going 6-for-6 on steal attempts during the game, allowing them to rack up offense despite only five hits and zero homers. It's only the second time all season Burnes has been tagged for more than two earned runs in a start, and he'll carry a 2.33 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 74:5 K:BB through 46.1 innings into his next outing.

Musgrove didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Brewers, allowing one hit and one walk over 4.2 scoreless innings while striking out six.

The right-hander breezed through four innings during which the only Milwaukee baserunner reached on an error, but Musgrove ran up his pitch count in the fifth and exited with the bases loaded after he issued a free pass to Corbin Burnes. Fortunately, Tim Hill kept any of the inherited runners from scoring. Musgrove will take a 2.26 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 76:12 K:BB through 55.2 innings into his next outing.
