Wheeler (5-4) was charged with the loss against the Nationals on Tuesday after allowing three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four across three innings.

Wheeler's velocity was down from the beginning during what was his shortest start since June 19, 2017. He threw 73 pitches, including 46 strikes. After giving up two runs in the first inning, he retired the side in the second. Unfortunately, it was a long and tough third inning that wound up being his last. This was a rare bad start for the right-hander, who has compiled a 2.36 ERA and 0.98 WHIP overall this year. Wheeler is projected to take on his former team, the Mets, on the road Sunday.

Megill will have his contract selected by the Mets and start Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

The 25-year-old has a 3.77 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB over 14.1 innings (three starts) at Triple-A Syracuse, and he'll be promoted to make his big-league debut Wednesday. It'll likely be a spot start for Megill, though the status of Marcus Stroman (hip), who exited Tuesday's game with an injury, could open a spot in the rotation.

Hendricks (10-4) pitched six scoreless innings to earn the win Tuesday against Cleveland. He allowed four hits and struck out five.

Hendricks has been locked in lately, as he's now earned the win in his last eight outings. In those starts, the righty has a sparkling 2.25 ERA and 0.98 WHIP across 52 innings. He looks like Chicago's ace again after a bit of a slow start to the season, and he should remain productive for fantasy managers even if he's not a great source of strikeouts. Hendricks will look to keep rolling in his next scheduled appearance Monday against the division-rival Brewers.

Oviedo (0-3) allowed six runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out one across 3.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Tigers.

Oviedo worked through three fairly routine scoreless innings but was hit hard in the fourth frame. In that disastrous final inning, he walked two, threw a wild pitch, made a throwing error and finally surrendered a three-run home run. Ironically, his fielding mishap aided his final line by making the majority of the runs against him unearned. Though he delivered seven scoreless innings in his previous outing, Oviedo still has a 4.62 ERA with only a 30:21 K:BB across 39 frames on the campaign.

Anderson allowed three earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four across 6.2 innings Tuesday against the White Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Anderson allowed only two hits through six shutout innings. He ran into trouble in the seventh frame, allowing two singles before giving up a three-run shot to Yasmani Grandal. Though he didn't walk away with the win as a result, it was a promising outing for Anderson, considering that he was roughed up for six runs in his last start. Overall, he has a 4.85 ERA with a 69:21 K:BB across 80.1 innings on the campaign.

Stroman was removed from Tuesday's start against Atlanta due to left hip soreness, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander showed some discomfort during the top of the second inning and exited the contest after being visited by the athletic trainer and manager Luis Rojas. Stroman fired a scoreless frame with a walk before being lifted. It's unclear whether the injury will force him to miss his next turn through the rotation.

Miley allowed two runs on five hits and zero walks across seven innings during Tuesday's 10-7 win over the Twins. He notched six strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

The left-hander was in line for the victory with the Reds leading 7-2 after the top of the eighth inning, but he was forced to settle for a no-decision after the Twins erupted for five runs in the bottom of the frame. Miley has given up only seven earned runs in five starts (32 innings) since his stint on the injured list in late May with a foot sprain. Overall, he has a 2.85 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 62:19 K:BB across 75.2 innings this season.

Stroman exited Tuesday's start against Atlanta with no outs in the top of the second inning due to an undisclosed injury, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports. He walked one batter in a scoreless first inning.

Stroman was visited by trainers and manager Luis Rojas before ultimately being pulled. It's not clear what the right-hander is dealing with at this point, but the Mets should provide an update later Tuesday.

Webb (shoulder) threw a successful bullpen session Monday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The right-hander resumed throwing last week and is now back to working off a mound. He's been battling a right shoulder strain since mid-May, though he did return from the injured list to make one start in late May before landing back on the shelf. Webb figures to require a rehab assignment before rejoining the starting rotation this time around.

Williams (abdomen) threw a simulated inning Tuesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

The righty will likely be ready for a rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa after one more session on the mound. Williams' last start before the injury was arguably his best of 2021, as he allowed one run in six innings and struck out seven hitters. It remains unclear when exactly Williams will return to the Cubs, but the end of June remains a realistic expectation.
