Snell (groin) is scheduled to make a minor-league rehab appearance with High-A Fort Wayne on Thursday.

Snell tossed 38 pitches in a simulated game Saturday, per AJ Cassavell of MLB.com, and he appears to have come out of that session without experiencing any setbacks. The southpaw hasn't pitched in a game since spring training, as he landed on the injured list in mid-April due to left adductor tightness. Should Snell's rehab appearance Thursday go well, he could make his season debut with San Diego sometime in early May.

Mikolas didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Mets, giving up four hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander baffled New York hitters and generated plenty of weak contact, tossing 63 of 95 pitches for strikes before hitting the showers in line for his second win of the season. Unfortunately, Giovanny Gallegos blew his first save of the season in the ninth. Mikolas appears to have re-discovered his 2018 form, posting a 1.21 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB through 22.1 innings, and the key to his success so far has been the fact that he has yet to serve up a homer after giving up 33 of them (1.30 HR/9) over his last two seasons.

Kelly (1-1) was charged with the loss against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings.

The right-hander held the Dodgers' potent offense mostly at bay to notch his second straight quality start, but he was outdueled by Walker Buehler -- who threw his first career shutout -- and Kelly was saddled with his first loss. Kelly wasn't as sharp as in his previous start, when he allowed just one run over six frames, but he impressively recovered from a rough first inning during which the Dodgers produced two runs. Kelly still has a standout 1.69 ERA on this season, and he'll likely make his next start in St. Louis this weekend.

Buehler (2-1) earned the win over Arizona on Monday, tossing nine shutout innings during which he allowed three hits and struck out 10.

Buehler dominated from start to finish in the impressive performance, retiring eight of the Diamondbacks' first nine batters and 16 of their final 17. The right-hander induced 14 swinging strikes, racked up a season-high 10 punchouts and didn't walk a batter for the first time in four starts. The shutout was both the first of Buehler's career and the first in MLB this season. He's started the season off well, posting a 2.55 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB across 24.2 innings. Buehler is in line to make his next start against Detroit on Sunday.

DeGrom (shoulder) underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed "considerable healing of the stress reaction on his scapula," Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The team's press release mentioned nothing regarding when the right-hander might return to throwing, as he's only been cleared for "loading and strengthening" work with his shoulder. DeGrom is set to undergo another MRI in approximately three weeks to determine the next steps in his rehab.

Freeland (0-3) allowed four runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk over five innings Monday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Phillies.

Freeland allowed three unearned runs in the third inning after an error by Jose Iglesias, including a two-run double from Kyle Schwarber. He then coughed up a solo shot to Bryce Harper in the fifth before striking out the last three batters he faced. Despite turning in an overall shaky performance, Freeland lowered his season ERA to 6.16 with a 17:6 K:BB through four starts. He's projected to take on the Reds at home this weekend.

Gibson (2-1) yielded two runs on three hits and two walks over 5.2 innings Monday, striking out four and earning a win over the Rockies.

Gibson was taken deep twice in Monday's win, with Connor Joe and Randal Grichuk hitting solo shots in the first and second innings, respectively. The veteran righty then retired nine straight Rockies and didn't face much of a threat for the rest of the outing. He tossed 94 pitches (59 strikes) and forced 17 whiffs despite recording only four punchouts. Gibson will carry a 3.47 ERA into his projected road matchup with the Mets this weekend.

Burnes didn't factor into the decision Monday after allowing two hits while striking out 11 and walking two over 6.2 scoreless innings against the Giants.

Burnes made it look easy in this one, fanning 10 or more batters in his second straight start. He would depart in line for the win with two outs in the top of the seventh inning after firing 69 of 106 pitches for strikes. However, the bullpen would give up the lead in the top of the eighth. Burnes now owns a 1.75 ERA and a 33:6 K:BB across 25.2 frames through the first four starts of his 2022 campaign.

Walker (shoulder) is expected to start Saturday against the Phillies, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Walker was cruising through his season debut, which also came against the Phillies, striking out four batters across two scoreless innings before being removed due to a shoulder injury that required a trip to the injured list. He avoided a serious injury and didn't pause his throwing program for more than a few days, so he's ready to return to the rotation after a rehab start and a simulated game.

Cobb (groin) needs at least one more bullpen session before returning from the injured list, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Cobb threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Monday but was only throwing at 70 percent intensity. Whie the session seemingly went well, he'll need to throw at full capacity before the Giants are comfortable activating him. He's eligible to return Saturday, but it looks as though he may need at least a few extra days.
