Meyer gave up one run on six hits and one walk over 6.2 innings Saturday for Triple-A Jacksonville in a win over Charlotte. He struck out six.

It was the longest outing of Meyer's minor-league career to date, and it continued a run of dominance to begin the season that has seen the right-hander deliver a 1.71 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 33:6 K:BB through 26.1 innings over five starts. The Marlins' No. 2 fantasy prospect doesn't seem to have much left to prove in the minors, but he's not yet on the 40-man roster and the organization is going to be keeping a careful eye on his workload. Still, it's likely only a matter of time before the 23-year-old makes his big-league debut.

The Brewers designated Urena for assignment Monday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

He was moved off the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster to clear room for infielder Luis Urias (quadriceps), who was activated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. After earning a spot on the Brewers' Opening Day roster as a long reliever, Urena floundered over his four appearances out of the bullpen, giving up five runs (three earned) on seven hits and five walks while striking out three over 7.2 innings.

Eflin (1-2) took the loss to the Mets on Sunday night. He was charged with six runs (five earned) on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Eflin threw six innings of one-run ball against the Rockies his last time out, but he was unable to build on that success Sunday. The right-hander still has respectable numbers overall even after this blemish, and he's allowed just one home run through 24 innings this season. However, unless he can find a way to miss more bats, Eflin will remain volatile. He will have to hope for better BABIP fortune against this same Mets team next weekend.

Alcantara (2-1) took the loss to the Mariners on Sunday, allowing five runs on six hits -- including two home runs -- over 5.2 innings. He struck out six and walked four.

A pair of long balls sunk Alcantara in this one -- one off the bat of J.P. Crawford and the first hit by Julio Rodriguez at the major-league level. Alcantara had just turned in three consecutive quality starts prior to this outing, and he still has a 2.90 ERA this season despite the hiccup. His fantasy managers are still waiting for more strikeouts on the strength of his 97-mph heater, but his swinging-strike rate remains modest at the moment.

Buehler (3-1) registered the win during Sunday's 6-3 victory over Detroit, allowing six hits and one walk with five strikeouts in five scoreless innings.

Though his final line looks solid, Buehler had to work hard to go the minimum five frames for the win. He escaped a bases loaded jam in the second inning and a two-on, one-out situation in the fourth. The 27-year-old has now gone two starts without allowing a run, lowering his ERA to 2.12, while his 1.11 WHIP would stand to be a career high. Buehler lines up to face the Cubs next weekend.

Sanchez was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Sanchez gave up at least one run in each of his four relief appearances early in the year, and he'll head to the minors since the Phillies need to trim their active roster to 26 players by Monday. The southpaw posted a 5.40 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 10 innings with the Phillies to begin the year.

Cobb (1-1) took the loss during Sunday's 11-5 defeat at the hands of the Nationals, allowing five runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks in two-thirds of an inning.

Making his first start since returning from a groin injury, Cobb surrendered two hits before Jason Vosler committed an error and the damage piled on from there. The result was 40 pitches with just 22 strikes, while the 34-year-old recorded only two outs as Washington batted around and put up a five spot. Cobb will look to get back on track next weekend in St. Louis.

Freeland (1-3) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over seven innings against the Reds. He struck out four.

Brandon Drury touched Freeland up for a homer in the fifth inning, but that was the extent of the damage against the left-hander. While Freeland's 1-3 record and 4.85 ERA on the season don't look great, he now has a 2.12 ERA and 14:3 K:BB over his last three starts (17 innings), including two starts at Coors Field in that stretch. He still has to be considered a high-risk option given his track record as he heads into a road start in Arizona next weekend.

Davies allowed two unearned runs on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts in five innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Sunday.

A one-out error by Ketel Marte ultimately allowed two runs to come across the plate in the third inning. Davies left the game in line for the win, but the Diamondbacks' bullpen couldn't maintain the lead. The right-hander won't see any damage added to his ratios after this start -- he has a 4.24 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 16:11 K:BB through 23.1 innings across five outings. He lines up for a home start versus the Rockies next weekend.

Gray (3-2) picked up the win during Sunday's 11-5 victory over San Francisco, allowing one hit and four walks with three strikeouts in six scoreless innings.

Gray took the hill with a 5-0 lead in hand and breezed through the first four innings, only encountering trouble when he loaded the bases in the fifth. However, he was able to strike out Darin Ruf to end the threat. The 24-year-old has excelled in two road starts thus far, tossing 11 scoreless innings combined, compared to surrendering nine runs in 15 innings during three home games. The totals come out to a solid 3.12 ERA, 31 strikeouts and a slightly high 1.31 WHIP in 26 innings.
