Luzardo (3-4) earned the victory Sunday against the Cubs, striking out six in seven shutout innings while allowing a hit and a walk.

Luzardo was magnificent and efficient Sunday and got through seven scoreless frames on 91 pitches. At one point he retired 12 straight batters. It was the first time in his big-league career that he pitched seven innings in a start without allowing a run. In his two starts since returning from a forearm injury, he's allowed a total of two runs on four hits while fanning 11 in 12 innings. His next start will likely be next weekend against Atlanta.

Rogers (back) will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Pensacola on Tuesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rogers threw a bullpen session this week and has been cleared to return to game action with the Marlins' Double-A affiliate. It's not yet clear how many rehab appearances he'll require, but it doesn't seem as though he'll need a lengthy stay in the minors since he's been on the injured list only since July 29.

Muller (hand) started Saturday for Triple-A Gwinnett, covering 4.2 innings and striking out five while allowing five earned runs on six hits and one walk.

Muller was back on the mound for Gwinnett for the first time since July 14 after he demonstrated enough progress in his recovery from a fractured right hand to return to action. The left-hander was fortunate to avoid an extended absence since the injury wasn't to his pitching hand, but the injury along with Atlanta's trade-deadline acquisition of Jake Odorizzi may have closed Muller's window for joining the big club in any case. Atlanta demoted struggling No. 5 starter Ian Anderson to Triple-a Gwinnett on Sunday, but Odorizzi is replacing him as a full-time member of the rotation.

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Anderson will be recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to start one game of Saturday's doubleheader in Miami, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Even though Anderson was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday, he won't actually report to the affiliate and will be part of Atlanta's taxi squad as the club shifts its road trip from New York to Boston during the upcoming week. Since he'll be designated as the 27th man for the upcoming twin bill, Atlanta will be able to add Anderson back to the active roster in fewer than 15 days, but the expectation remains that he'll report to Gwinnett immediately following his spot start against the Marlins. Anderson has seemingly lost his spot in the rotation to Jake Odorizzi after allowing four earned runs on seven hits and four walks over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Mets on Friday.

Alexander was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was sent to Triple-A in mid-July and will return to Milwaukee after spending a couple weeks in the minors. Alexander has a 5.60 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 23:19 K:BB across 45 innings and should work as a multi-inning option out of the bullpen.

Ynoa was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

The 24-year-old opened the season in Atlanta's rotation but was demoted after he surrendered 10 runs in his first two starts, and he'll now return to the major-league club with Ian Anderson heading down to Triple-A. Ynoa may not immediately enter the rotation since the team has scheduled days off Monday and Thursday, but he could be in the mix for a start during, or in the wake of, Saturday's doubleheader against the Marlins.

Anderson was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

The right-hander surrendered four runs over 4.2 innings Friday and has a 6.62 ERA across his past eight starts, leading Atlanta to remove him from the rotation and send him to the minors. Anderson could receive another look in the majors down the stretch, but for now he'll look to straighten things out at Triple-A. Huascar Ynoa was recalled from Gwinnett in a corresponding move, though he isn't guaranteed to step into the rotation since Atlanta was employing a six-man rotation following the addition of Jake Odorizzi at the trade deadline.

Rodon (10-6) gave up one earned run on five hits and no walks while striking out three over 5.1 innings to earn the win in a 7-3 victory over the Athletics on Saturday.

Rodon continued his excellent 2022 campaign by holding the Athletics to only one run on a Sean Murphy single. The performance wasn't his most dominant, but he did enough to pick up his 10th win of the season while lowering his ERA back under 3.00. The hard-throwing lefty now boasts a 161:39 K:BB in 128.1 innings this season to go along with an ERA of 2.95. He tentatively lines up for a favorable matchup at home against the Pirates in his next expected start.

Ashby (2-10) allowed four runs on three hits, five walks and a hit batter while striking out five over 4.2 innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Reds.

Ashby gave up two runs in the second inning and a two-run home run to Jose Barrero in the fourth. The five walks Ashby allowed matched a season high, and this was the first time in six starts he's allowed more than two earned runs. The southpaw now has a 4.32 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 103:41 K:BB through 85.1 innings across 21 appearances (15 starts). He's projected for a road start in St. Louis next weekend, with two off days for the Brewers next week likely affording Ashby extra rest.

Lodolo allowed three runs on four hits, four walks and a hit batter while striking out four over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Saturday.

Lodolo threw 56 of 100 pitches for strikes, and he was tagged for a pair of home runs by Andrew McCutchen and Keston Hiura in the fourth inning. This was just the second time in nine outings Lodolo's given up multiple homers, but the four walks were a season high and the four strikeouts matched his low mark for the year. The 24-year-old owns a 4.40 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 58:20 K:BB through 43 innings in his rookie year. He's projected for a more favorable home start versus the Cubs next week.
