Henry registered a no-decision during Friday's 6-5 loss to San Francisco, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 4.2 innings.

Henry fell victim to the long ball Friday, permitting homers in each of the second, third and fourth innings to account for four of the five runs on his ledger. Additionally, he issued at least three free passes for the third time in four starts, though he was able to induce an impressive 15 swinging strikes on 82 pitches en route to six strikeouts -- his second-highest total in eight turns. Henry possesses a 5.98 ERA and 1.57 WHIP with 31 strikeouts in 40.2 innings, and it's unclear if he'll get another start this season.

Rodon didn't factor into the decision during Friday's 6-5 win against Arizona, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in 4.1 innings.

Rodon permitted a two-run Stone Garrett home run in the third inning and put two on in the fifth before being pulled, with both runners coming around to score. The poor start is only the 29-year-old's second in his last 10 turns, during which he's pitched to a 2.25 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 56 innings. Rodon possesses a 2.98 ERA and 1.05 WHIP to go along with the second-most strikeouts in MLB at 227 across 30 starts.

Heaney (3-3) took the loss during Friday's 11-0 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 3.2 innings.

Heaney navigated the first two frames unscathed but surrendered a two-run Albert Pujols homer in the third and was yanked after permitting two, two-out baserunners in the fourth --- both of whom came around to score on another Pujols long ball. That's now two subpar starts in four turns this month for the 31-year-old, who's permitted 11 runs in 18 innings during the stretch. Additionally, Heaney's surpassed five innings only once in 11 starts since returning from a shoulder injury in late July. He carries a 3.06 ERA into his next start, tentatively slated to come next weekend against Colorado.

Quintana (6-6) earned the win during Friday's 11-0 victory over the Dodgers, allowing five hits while recording six strikeouts and zero walks across 6.2 scoreless innings.

Quintana limited the highest-scoring team in the majors to just five baserunners and didn't allow anyone past second base as Los Angeles failed to score for only the seventh time this season. The 33-year-old fired 64 of 101 pitches for strikes, with 14 of the swinging variety, en route to his second highest strikeout total since joining St. Louis at the trade deadline. Quintana hasn't permitted more than two earned runs in any of those 10 starts and has been especially dominant in September, surrendering just two runs across 25.1 innings this month. He carries a 3.03 ERA into his next start, scheduled to come midweek against Pittsburgh.

Bassitt (15-8) earned the win during Friday's 9-2 victory over Oakland, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk with two strikeouts in eight innings.

After putting two runners on in the first inning, Bassitt faced the minimum through the next five frames until permitting single runs in the seventh and eighth once the game was well in hand. The 33-year-old recorded only two strikeouts for the second time in three starts, though he's now won eight of his last 10 turns -- pitching to a 2.25 ERA across 64 innings during the stretch. Bassitt's 15 wins ranks sixth in MLB and he'll look to add to that total next weekend in Atlanta.

Lauer allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over 2.2 innings against Cincinnati on Friday. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Lauer threw 36 of 66 pitches for strikes in his return from the injured list Friday. The Brewers got the win but he failed to make it through the third inning for the second straight outing. Lauer's season ERA now sits at 3.96 with a 141:55 K:BB through 27 starts. He should be able to go further in his next start, which is expected to come at home against Miami next week.

Gonsolin (forearm) will throw a pair of rehab innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Beginning a rehab assignment gives Gonsolin at least a chance to return before the regular season, but it's unclear if there will be enough time for him to do so. If the team wants to build his workload back up with the goal of having him start games in the playoffs, he won't have time to complete that process before the end of the regular season, though he could still return in a relief role.

Henry was recalled as expected ahead of his start Friday against the Giants.

The rookie lefty has made seven starts this season but has yet to find much success. He owns a 5.50 ERA and 1.53 WHIP, striking out just 15.5 percent of opposing batters while walking 10.6 percent. Tyler Holton was optioned to clear space on the roster.

Ortiz is slated to start Sunday against the Cubs at PNC Park.

After holding the Yankees to two runs (one earned) while striking out five in five innings Tuesday following his promotion from Triple-A Indianapolis, Ortiz will be rewarded with a second straight turn through the rotation. The rookie now owns an 0.84 ERA and 0.84 WHIP through his first two big-league outings and will look to parlay a strong finish to the 2022 season into a spot in the Pirates' Opening Day rotation in 2023.

Corbin (back) played catch from 90 feet Friday and is beginning to feel better, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Corbin was forced to leave Tuesday's game against Atlanta early due to back spasms. If he continues to feel better once he throws again Saturday, he could rejoin the rotation and avoid spending time on the injured list.
