Corbin (back) played catch from 90 feet Friday and is beginning to feel better, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Corbin was forced to leave Tuesday's game against Atlanta early due to back spasms. If he continues to feel better once he throws again Saturday, he could rejoin the rotation and avoid spending time on the injured list.

Gore (elbow) will make another rehab start for Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Gore has made three rehab starts already in Triple-A while dealing with inflammation in his elbow, allowing just one run over 8.1 innings of work. Monday looks to be his longest outing yet -- up to five innings. Assuming this would be his final start in the minors, he would still be able to make his Nationals debut before the end of the season.

Peralta (shoulder) will start Sunday's game against the Reds, Will Aldrich of MLB.com reports.

He last threw two innings Sept. 8 and has been throwing off the mound for only a few days, so Peralta may not go deep enough to qualify for the win. If he stays on turn, he will line up for a final start next weekend at home against the Marlins.

Lauer (elbow) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list prior to Friday's start against the Reds.

Although Lauer is back in action after spending the minimum of 15 days on the injured list, he's expected to be on a pitch count during Friday's start. The southpaw struggled during his final start prior to landing on the IL, allowing seven runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four in 2.2 innings at Coors Field on Sept. 7.

Garrett will start Friday's game against the Nationals, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The left-hander was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday and will step into the rotation for Trevor Rogers (lat). Garrett has a 3.68 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 75:19 K:BB across 73.1 innings this year and could make up to three starts, including Friday, down the stretch for Miami.

Overton (back) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Friday.

Overton was on the injured list since late May but has been cleared to return for the final week and a half of the regular season. The right-hander recently made a pair of rehab starts at Triple-A Louisville and posted a 2.35 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 7.2 innings. The team had him build up as a starter in the minors, and he'll likely have a chance to start for the Reds early next week if he isn't used as a long reliever during the team's weekend series against Milwaukee.

Henry will be recalled from Triple-A Reno to start Friday against the Giants, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

The 25-year-old will make his eighth start of the season for the Diamondbacks on Friday, filling the rotation spot of an injured Ryne Nelson (shoulder). Henry made his big-league debut in early August and has a 5.50 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 25:17 K:BB across 36 innings. It may only be a spot start for the left-hander since Arizona still has five healthy rotation options despite Nelson being on the injured list.

Woodruff (12-4) earned the win Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over six innings against the Reds. He struck out 11.

Woodruff shut down the Reds for most of the evening until Kyle Farmer took him deep with a two-out, solo homer in the sixth inning. The right-hander produced 17 swinging strikes and struck out the side in both the second and third innings. Woodruff has gone four consecutive starts without allowing more than two runs and holds a 1.67 ERA over that stretch with 37 strikeouts to only six walks. He's also struck out 10 or more batters in three straight contests.

Greene (4-13) took the loss Thursday, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks over five innings against Milwaukee. He struck out eight.

Greene looked solid in his second start since returning from his shoulder injury outside of the two-run shot he surrendered to Kolten Wong in the second inning. After walking Andrew McCutchen in the very next at-bat, Greene struck out the side, all swinging, to end the second. He produced 21 swinging strikes and has now recorded 19 strikeouts to just three walks over 11 innings since returning from the injured list.

Gallen pitched eight innings against the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks while striking out 13 batters. He did not factor in the decision.

Gallen was perfect through 3.2 frames before Will Smith got aboard on a flyball triple. Max Muncy followed with a run-scoring double, but those were the only two baserunners Gallen allowed in the masterful performance. The right-hander finished with a career-high 13 strikeouts and eight innings, but he was denied a victory when the Dodgers scored two runs off the Diamondbacks bullpen in the ninth. Despite the disappointing team outcome, it was another outstanding effort by Gallen, who has posted a 0.89 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 74:11 K:BB over 60.2 innings across his past nine starts.
