  • Marlins' Max Meyer: No-decision against Seattle

Meyer did not factor into Tuesday's decision against the Mariners, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four across five innings. Meyer opened his start nicely by striking out three of the first four batters he faced. He faced the minimum number of batters through four innings before giving up two runs in the fifth, but his stat line could have looked far worse after he loaded the bases with no outs in the sixth. Luckily for Meyer, his night ended at two earned runs after Michael Petersen came in and got the Marlins out of the bases-loaded jam. Meyer has given up two earned runs or fewer in seven consecutive starts, going 4-1 with a 1.96 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB in 41.1 innings over that span. He's slated to start this weekend at home against the Guardians in his final turn in the rotation before the All-Star break.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Unlucky in first loss

Meyer (9-1) allowed five runs (one earned) on six hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings to take the loss versus the Rockies on Wednesday. Meyer had a good start going, but an error in the fifth inning by Javier Sanoja ultimately led to a four-run rally for the Rockies. Meyer still looked good overall, throwing 56 of 78 pitches for strikes in his first start without issuing a walk all year. With only one of the runs on his ledger being earned, Meyer's ERA shrunk to 2.53 with a 1.11 WHIP and 112:36 K:BB across 103 innings over 18 starts. The 27-year-old's next outing is projected to come at home versus the Mariners.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Remains unbeaten in 2026

Meyer (9-0) earned the win Friday against the Cardinals, allowing two hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five. The right-hander spent the week on the bereavement list but returned to the active roster Friday without missing a turn through the rotation, picking up his third consecutive victory and tying a franchise record with his ninth straight winning decision. Meyer gave up just a pair of singles in addition to the free passes despite generating just eight whiffs on 89 pitches. The 27-year-old has been pitching well all season but has been particularly sharp across his past five outings with a 1.78 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 33:11 K:BB over 30.1 innings.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Expected back for Friday's start

Meyer (bereavement) is expected to start Friday in St. Louis, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports. Meyer was placed on the bereavement list Monday, but it will not cost him a turn in the Marlins' rotation, as he'll be taking the ball on five days' rest Friday. The righty has had a breakout season in Miami, going 8-0 while collecting a 2.80 ERA and 102:34 K:BB over 90 innings covering 16 starts.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Heads to bereavement list

The Marlins placed Meyer on the bereavement list Monday. Miami recalled reliever Zach Brzykcy to serve as a temporary replacement on the active roster for Meyer, who will remain away from the team from 3-to-7 days while he tends to a personal matter. Since Meyer last pitched Saturday and wasn't scheduled to pitch during the Marlins' three-game series versus Texas to begin the week, he could be ready to rejoin the club when his next turn through the rotation comes up Friday in St. Louis.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Improves to 8-0

Meyer (8-0) earned the win against the Giants on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over five innings. Meyer threw 66 of 98 pitches for strikes while generating nine whiffs and limiting the Giants to just four hard-hit balls, all of which went for extra-base hits. The 27-year-old has yielded just six earned runs through four June outings, going 3-0 with a 28:9 K:BB over 23.1 innings during that stretch. He'll take a 2.80 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 102:34 K:BB across 90 innings into a road matchup against the Cardinals next weekend.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Remains undefeated in seventh win

Meyer (7-0) notched the win Sunday against the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out nine. Meyer was able to outduel Paul Skenes on Sunday, firing six innings of one-run ball. The 27-year-old right-hander, who continues to push for his first career All-Star selection, tied a season high in strikeouts and has now pitched at least five frames while yielding two runs or fewer 10 times this year. Still undefeated in 2026, Mayer is next set to take an impressive 2.75 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 95:32 K:BB across 85 innings into a soft home matchup versus the Giants.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: No-decision vs. Arizona

Meyer did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five across 5.1 innings. Both of the runs Meyer allowed came on solo home runs from Corbin Carroll and Gabriel Moreno, marking the second time this season that Meyer has given up two homers in a game. He's yielded two earned runs or fewer in 10 of 14 starts and ranks fourth in the National League in strikeouts (86) and in the top 12 in both ERA (2.85) and WHIP (1.09) across 79 innings. Meyer's next start is slated for this weekend on the road against the Pirates.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Shaky in no-decision

Meyer did not factor into Friday's decision against the Mets, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out six across six innings. Meyer put the Marlins in an early hole after giving up four runs in the first inning. He completed six innings despite the early setback, finishing with 10 whiffs while tossing 70 strikes on 106 pitches (66.0 percent). Despite giving up a season-high five earned runs, Meyer escaped with the no-decision thanks to his Marlins teammates. He sits at a 2.97 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across 66.2 innings this season, and his 74 strikeouts are sixth-most in the National League. Meyer is slated to start next week on the road against the Nationals.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Delivers gem in fifth win

Meyer (5-0) earned the win Saturday against the Mets, allowing no runs on one hit and three walks in seven innings. He struck out eight. The 27-year-old right-hander was brilliant on the hill Saturday, permitting a lone innocuous single to Mark Vientos in the second inning. It was already the second time this year that Meyer spun seven frames of one-hit ball, and he fanned at least seven for the fourth time in his past seven outings. Meyer is scheduled to face the Mets again next weekend in Queens, where he'll look to remain unbeaten on the year and build on an impressive 2.52 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 68:22 K:BB over 60.2 innings.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Blanks Atlanta in fourth win

Meyer (4-0) notched the win Monday against Atlanta, allowing no runs on three hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out six. Meyer twirled a gem Monday, scattering singles across six shutout frames against a tough Atlanta lineup. The 27-year-old right-hander is putting together a breakout start to his campaign, tossing at least five innings while yielding two runs or fewer in six of his last eight outings. Still unbeaten on the year, Meyer is set to carry a strong 2.85 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 60:19 K:BB over 53.2 innings into a matchup with the surging Mets over the weekend.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Mixed bag in third win

Meyer (3-0) earned the win Wednesday against the Twins, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out nine. Meyer hardly pitched well enough to deserve the win Wednesday, giving up five extra-base hits, but the Marlins provided plenty of run support. The 27-year-old right-hander permitted a season-worst four runs and walked multiple batters for the seventh time in nine starts, but the nine punchouts were also a season high. Meyer will carry a strong 3.21 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 54:17 K:BB across 47.2 innings into his next scheduled matchup next week versus Atlanta.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Blanks Phillies in Saturday's win

Meyer (2-0) earned the win against Philadelphia on Saturday, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out seven across seven scoreless innings. Meyer set the tone early by striking out three of the first four batters he faced. He allowed just two baserunners and generated 15 whiffs on 83 pitches (55 strikes). It was the first quality start of the season for Meyer and first in nearly a full calendar year. Saturday's efforts improved the right-hander's season-long numbers to a 2.68 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 40:13 K:BB across 37 innings. Meyer is tentatively lined up to face the Orioles at home next week.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Logs five frames in no-decision

Meyer did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one unearned run on four hits and a walk over five innings against the Giants. He struck out five. Meyer was solid, not allowing an earned run, but had to settle for a no-decision as the Marlins pulled him at 77 pitches and the bullpen allowed five runs between the sixth and seventh innings. Miami has carefully managed the 27-year-old's workload, as he has not worked beyond 5.1 innings in a start this season, though he has generally been effective when on the mound. Through 30 innings (six starts), Meyer owns a 3.30 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with a 1-0 record and a 33:12 K:BB.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Fans season-high eight Monday

Meyer didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out eight. The eight K's were a season high, and Meyer saw a season-high workload with 5.1 innings and 91 pitches (59 strikes). The right-hander is beginning to find a groove, posting a 3.52 ERA and 17:6 K:BB over his last three starts and 15.1 innings, but he has yet to put together a truly dominant outing despite the fact that his slider is producing an eye-popping 50.8 percent whiff rate in the early going. Meyer will look to carry his momentum into his next start, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in San Francisco.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Picks up first win Thursday

Meyer (1-0) earned the win Thursday against the Reds, allowing one run on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts across five innings. Meyer threw a heavy dose of sliders against Cincinnati and generated a 25 percent swinging strike rate with the pitch Thursday. Meyer's only mistake was a two-out solo home run allowed to Sal Stewart in the fifth inning. Meyer left the game with a 4-1 lead, and the Miami bullpen was able to hold on to preserve the right-hander's first win of the season. His command hasn't been great with multiple walks issued in each start, and he'll carry a 3.68 ERA 15:8 K:BB across 14.2 innings into his next outing versus Atlanta.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Strikes out six in no-decision

Meyer didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks with six strikeouts across 4.2 innings. Meyer had a pretty uneventful first four innings but allowed a two-out single to Aaron Judge in the fifth before Cody Bellinger took Meyer deep for a two-run home run three pitches later for New York's first runs of the day. Meyer's night was done after throwing 89 pitches, and he left with a 4-2 lead, but Miami's bullpen was unable to keep the Yankees at bay the rest of the way. Through two starts, Meyer owns a 4.66 ERA and 11:5 K:BB, but he'll need to work on his efficiency as he's covered just 9.2 frames. His next start is tentatively scheduled for next week at home against the Reds.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Strong spring continues

Meyer gave up two hits over three scoreless innings in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets. He struck out four without walking a batter. The 26-year-old right-hander is having an impressive spring, posting a 6:0 K:BB over four scoreless frames. Meyer is locked into an Opening Day rotation spot, and while good health might be the only thing standing between him and a breakout campaign, he has a lot to prove given his 5.29 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 127.2 career big-league innings.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Comes to terms with Miami

Meyer (hip) and the Marlins agreed to a one-year contract to avoid arbitration Thursday, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports. Meyer has struggled with injuries throughout his big-league career and made only 12 starts in 2025. He posted a 4.73 ERA and 68:20 K:BB across 64.2 frames before being sidelined in early July by a hip issue that required surgery. Meyer figures to be ready for spring training and should have the inside track on a rotation spot to begin 2026.

  • Marlins' Max Meyer: Shifted to 60-day injured list

The Marlins transferred Meyer (hip) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday. The move frees a 40-man roster spot for waiver claim Nick Nastrini. Meyer is out for the rest of the season after undergoing hip surgery last week.
