Urias pitched 5.1 innings against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out five batters.

Urias and Zac Gallen engaged in a duel between two of the NL's top pitchers, with both hurlers giving up a single run. Urias saw his streak of quality starts come to an end at five outings, though it wasn't a result of laboring excessively, as he threw just 89 pitches. The Dodgers have no reason to push Urias with the NL West already locked up and home-field advantage throughout the postseason looking increasingly likely, especially given the numerous injuries that have impacted their starting rotation this season. Despite the relatively short outing, Urias looked to be in good form and lowered his NL-best ERA to 2.25 on the campaign.

Fried (13-7) was tagged with the loss against Philadelphia on Thursday despite allowing only one run on five hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over five innings.

Fried allowed only six baserunners across his five frames, but Phillies batters consistently worked deep into counts and collectively fouled off 20 balls, forcing the left-hander to rack up 107 pitches. As such, Fried was unable to hang around long enough to log his third straight quality start, though he did tally eight strikeouts -- his most since late July. The veteran hurler has surrendered only five runs over 22 innings in four September starts, lowering his season ERA to a tidy 2.50.

Suarez (10-5) earned the win over Atlanta on Thursday, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out four batters over six scoreless innings.

Suarez allowed just one extra-base hit -- a double off the bat of Austin Riley -- and racked up 12 swinging strikes. The left-hander departed having thrown 83 pitches (53 of which were strikes) while completing six frames to notch his second straight quality start. Over his past two outings, Suarez has surrendered just one run and seven hits over 12 innings to lower his season ERA and WHIP to 3.38 and 1.30, respectively.

Guerrero (elbow) has pitched in 10 games between three minor-league levels this season, posting a 4.82 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings.

When Guerrero underwent Tommy John surgery last August, it was thought that he could miss the entirety of the 2022 campaign. However, the right-hander was able to return to game action Aug. 16 and has moved from rookie ball to Single-A to Double-A over the course of the past month. Guerrero can top 100 mph with his fastball and has posted a 3.09 ERA and averaged over a strikeout per inning across 162 career minor-league contests.

Gonsolin (forearm) faced live batters Thursday, and manager Dave Roberts said the right-hander's "stuff looked good," Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.

The 28-year-old landed on the shelf a month ago with a forearm strain, but he's back to facing live hitters as the regular season winds down. Gonsolin will throw another bullpen session before again pitching to live batters, which could be the final step before being reinstated to the active roster.

Keller (5-12) took the loss Thursday against the Cubs, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven in six innings.

Both runs against Keller came in the second inning on Christopher Morel's two-run double. Keller then retired 13 of the last 14 batters he faced. It was his fifth straight quality start, and he's compiled a 2.03 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB in 31 innings during that streak. He now has a 3.99 ERA and 128:55 K:BB across 149 innings this season.

Wesneski (2-1) earned the victory Thursday in Pittsburgh, striking out six across 6.1 innings while allowing two runs on five hits and two walks.

Wesneski was highly effective through the first six innings, allowing just a run on four hits -- three of them by Bryan Reynolds -- and even throwing an immaculate inning in the fifth. The right-hander allowed a solo homer to Kevin Newman to begin the seventh before retiring his final batter of the evening and being pulled with one out. Wesneski has thrown at least 6.1 innings and allowed two runs or fewer in both of his two starts this year.

Urena (3-7) allowed two earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six across 5.2 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Giants.

The big swing against Urena came on a solo home run by Mike Yastrzemski in the sixth inning. Otherwise, the right-hander generated an impressive 15 swinging strikes on 94 total pitches and also induced six groundball outs. He's pitched well across his last three starts, maintaining a 2.12 ERA across 17 frames. However, for the season, Urena still owns a 5.34 ERA with a 53:39 K:BB in 86 innings.

Musgrove allowed a run on five hits and two walks while striking out four in five innings in a 5-4 loss Thursday against St. Louis. He did not factor into the decision.

Musgrove allowed two baserunners in each of the first two innings but managed to get out of each without a run scoring. The lone run came on a Lars Nootbaar solo homer in the fifth. He was removed after throwing just 72 pitches with the Padres leading 3-1. Homers have been a bit of an issue for him since the All-Star break, as he's allowed 13 long balls in 66 innings after allowing nine in 99 first-half frames. His next start will likely be in the middle of next week against the Dodgers.

Flaherty (1-1) picked up the victory Thursday in San Diego, striking out nine in six innings while allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks.

In St. Louis' 141st game of the season, Flaherty finally picked up his first victory. It was his first time pitching more than five innings in a game this year, and his nine punchouts were a season high. In four starts since returning from a shoulder injury, he's compiled a 4.29 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 20:11 K:BB in 21 innings. His next start will likely be in the middle of next week in Milwaukee.
