Megill had his scheduled start Saturday versus Atlanta postponed by rain.

Megill will likely take the mound Sunday, if the rain lets up at all in Queens. The 27-year-old right-hander has pitched to an uneven 3.96 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 19:12 K:BB through 25 innings (five starts) this season with the Mets.

Strider will not start Saturday against the Mets after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Queens, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Aug. 12. The two teams will try to fit in Sunday's tilt, with Strider slated to get the start for Atlanta, but the forecast for the New York area calls for sustained rain throughout the remainder of the weekend. Strider stands 3-0 with a brilliant 1.80 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 49:11 K:BB in 30 innings (five starts) this season.

Peterson (1-4) took the loss Friday as the Mets fell 4-0 to Atlanta, giving up four runs on five hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out six.

For four innings the evening featured a pitchers' duel between two talented southpaws, but Atlanta got to Peterson in the fifth while New York's bats remained quiet against Max Fried, and they never got a chance to respond when the game was called after five frames due to rain. The long ball remains Peterson's Achilles heel this season -- Matt Olson's blast Friday was the eighth homer he's served up in 30.2 innings -- but his 36:10 K:BB offers hope he can turn things around if he hits his spots a little better. Peterson will take a 7.34 ERA and 1.57 WHIP into his next start, likely to come next week in Detroit.

May (3-1) picked up the win against St. Louis on Friday, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out four batters over five innings.

May gave up just three hits in the contest, two of which were doubles off the bat of Paul Goldschmidt. However, the right-handed hurler threw just 67 of 104 pitches for a strike and tied a season high with four free passes. Control has been an issue for May in the early going this year, as he has posted a 10.3 percent walk rate through his first six starts. His 16.9 percent strikeout rate isn't promising either, but May has recorded a solid 3.15 ERA and 0.99 WHIP by holding opposing batters to just 20 hits -- including only one home run -- over 34.1 innings.

Fried (2-0) picked up the win Friday, allowing three hits and a walk over five scoreless innings in a 4-0 victory over the Mets. He struck out seven.

While it wasn't an official complete game, Fried was the only Atlanta pitcher to take the mound in the rain-shortened affair, and he likely would have been good for at least one more inning had the weather cooperated -- he produced 17 swinging strikes among his 86 pitches. Fried extended his scoreless streak to 16.2 innings since returning from the IL, and the southpaw will look to continue his dominance in his next outing, likely to come next week in Miami.

Freeland (2-3) took the loss Friday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over six innings against the Diamondbacks. He struck out three.

Freeland pitched well but was victimized by a dormant Colorado offense. The southpaw had given up 11 earned runs over his past two starts but rebounded with his fourth quality start of the campaign Friday, though he was still tagged with his third consecutive loss.

Kelly (2-3) earned the win Friday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk over six innings against Colorado. He struck out five.

Kelly has been consistently pitching deep into games, tossing six innings in three of his last four starts. The right-hander's losing record is deceiving, as his only shaky outing was on April 22 against San Diego, when he gave up four runs over five innings. Overall this year, Kelly has a 3.06 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 30:18 K:BB in 32.1 frames.

Nola (2-2) earned the win Friday, allowing one run on three hits over eight innings against the Astros. He struck out six and did not walk a batter.

Nola had his best start of the season by far, as the only blemish against him was solo home run by Jeremy Pena. The right-hander tossed seven innings in his previous appearance against the Rockies last week, so he appears to be settling in after he posted a 7.04 ERA across his first three starts of the year. The 29-year-old is tentatively slated to face the Dodgers on the road in his next start.

Stroman allowed two runs on six hits and two walks over 6.1 innings during Friday's loss to Miami. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

The Marlins scored just one run on Stroman through six innings before Jean Segura drove in a run in the seventh. Stroman has given up two or fewer runs in all but one of his six starts to begin the year. He's sporting a strong 2.29 ERA and 33:13 K:BB through 35.1 frames. The 31-year-old is currently lined up to start in Washington next week.

Luzardo allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over 6.1 innings in Friday's win over the Cubs. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

Through six innings, the only damage against Luzardo came on a solo homer by Nelson Velazquez in the third, but the southpaw got charged with one more run in the seventh. He'd allowed 10 runs over his previous three starts but lowered his ERA to 3.48 after this outing. Luzardo has also forced double-digit whiffs in every start this year, including 13 on Friday. He's currently lined up for a rematch with the Cubs in Chicago next week.
