Steele (8-2) allowed one run on five hits across six innings to earn the win Saturday against the Cardinals. He walked one and struck out eight.

The Cubs jumped out to a 7-0 lead in London and that was more than enough for Steele, who picked up his second straight win since returning from the injured list due to a forearm strain. The lefty is building on last season's breakout campaign, as he now has a stellar 2.62 ERA and 1.06 WHIP across 79 innings this season. Steele will look to keep rolling in his next outing toward the end of next week once the team returns from across the pond.

Syndergaard (finger) threw a bullpen session and faced live hitters Saturday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Syndergaard landed on the injured list June 8 with a blister on his right index finger. The plan was to go slow with Syndergaard's rehab process so that he could mentally reset after beginning the season with a 7.16 ERA and 1.45 WHIP through 55.1 frames. The Dodgers haven't indicated whether or not they plan on sending the veteran pitcher on a rehab assignment, but it appears Syndergaard is entering the home stretch of his recovery.

The Marlins are considering pausing Perez following his scheduled start next weekend against Atlanta, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.

Nothing is set in stone just yet, but it appears the Marlins are looking to give Perez an extended rest period heading into the All-Star break. The 20-year-old rookie has been phenomenal since arriving in the majors, recording a 1.54 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with a 45:14 K:BB through 41 frames. With 72 innings pitched between Triple-A and the majors this season, Perez is quickly approaching the most innings he's ever thrown in a season (78).

The Reds placed Lively on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a right pectoral strain.

Lively had already been scratched from his next scheduled start Sunday versus Atlanta with what was initially described as pec soreness. Now, the 31-year-old righty will officially miss multiple turns through the rotation. The Reds didn't announce a corresponding move, so it remains to be seen who will start in Lively's place Sunday.

Lively has been struggling lately to the tune of a 6.06 ERA and 1.71 WHIP through 16.1 innings across his last three starts.

The Reds reinstated Ashcraft (calf) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Saturday against Atlanta.

After being placed on the injured list June 9 due to a comebacker that hit his left calf, Ashcraft will rejoin the Reds' rotation just in time to face one of the top offenses in baseball. Ashcraft made a start against Atlanta earlier this season, allowing two earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven batters through six frames. Alan Busenitz was optioned to Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move.

Flaherty has been scratched from his start Sunday against the Cubs due to hip discomfort, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Flaherty worked 6.1 innings in his previous outing, so it's unclear when the issue popped up. Assuming it's a short-term absence, the Cardinals shouldn't have an issue filling his spot in the rotation as they have only two games in a five-day stretch that began Thursday. No starter has officially been announced in Flaherty's place.

Walker (8-3) picked up the win in Friday's 5-1 victory over the Mets, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out five.

Brandon Nimmo touched him up for a solo shot in the third inning, but otherwise Walker was dominant against the team he won 19 games for over the prior two seasons. The veteran right-hander tossed 54 of 91 pitches en route to his second straight quality start and eighth of the season, and over his last seven outings Walker has produced a dazzling 1.71 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB over 42 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, likely to come on the road next week against the Cubs.

Senga (6-5) took the loss Friday as the Mets fell 5-1 to the Phillies, giving up four runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out six.

An error by Brandon Nimmo on the first ball in play the right-hander gave up led to a two-run first inning, and the New York offense never climbed out of the hole. Senga tossed 62 of 102 pitches before exiting, and his transition to North American ball continues to pick up steam -- over his last seven starts, he's posted a 2.95 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 50:21 K:BB through 39.2 innings. Senga is next set to take the mound at home next week against the Brewers.

Webb (7-6) earned the win Friday, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings against the Diamondbacks. He struck out five.

Webb now has an impressive 101:21 strikeout-to-walk ratio as he continues his solid campaign. The right-hander hasn't allowed more than four runs in a start this year, proving to be a reliable option despite his six losses. His next appearance is tentatively slated to be against the Blue Jays on Thursday.
