Armstrong pitched two innings, allowing one run on a hit and a walk while striking out one batter and securing a save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Rockies.

Armstrong was called upon to protect a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth frame, entering the game with no outs and the bases loaded. He was able to escape the inning unscathed before surrendering a run in the bottom of the ninth frame, but he was able to secure his first save of the 2024 campaign. Armstrong has been shaky at best so far this season, giving up five runs (four earned) over 6.1 innings in four appearances with Tampa Bay.

Taylor (biceps) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

Taylor will now be forced to be out of action until at least late May as he recovers from a left biceps injury. The move was made in correspondence with the Royals' acquisition of right-handed reliever from the Pirates on Sunday.

Selby was traded from the Pirates to the Royals on Sunday in exchange for minor-league lefty pitcher Connor Oliver.

Selby was designated for assignment by Pittsburgh on Tuesday, and he'll now head to his new home in Kansas City. The 26-year-old made two appearances with Triple-A Indianapolis this season, tossing two scoreless innings while striking out a batter. He'll likely begin his tenure with the Royals at Triple-A Omaha, where he'll look to impress in order to earn a shot with the major-league roster down the road.

Anderson was called up from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

After opening the season in Triple-A, Anderson was called up to replace Josh Sborz (shoulder) in the Rangers' bullpen after Sborz was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. Anderson made two appearances with Round Rock before his promotion, tossing two scoreless innings while striking out a batter and allowing two hits and a walk. The right-hander was inconsistent over 26 appearances with the Rangers last season, producing a 5.05 ERA with 30 punchouts over 35.2 frames.

Sborz (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Rangers on Sunday.

Sborz is dealing with a right rotator cuff strain, and he'll now be forced to miss at least a couple weeks of action. Considering the injury to his throwing arm, the 30-year-old could be set for an extended absence. Texas called up right-hander Grant Anderson from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move to operate as a replacement for Sborz in the major-league bullpen.

Antone (elbow) is set to undergo an MRI on his right elbow, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Antone was removed from Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Mets with an apparent elbow injury, which will now lead to him undergoing an MRI in the near future, according to manager David Bell. The 30-year-old entered the game to open the top of the sixth inning, threw one pitch and then was subsequently pulled. Considering the fact that Antone has struggled with elbow issues in the past, Sunday's development is particularly concerning, and his status moving forward will certainly be worth monitoring.

Cano (1-1) suffered the loss against Pittsburgh on Sunday, allowing one earned run on two hits and one walk over 0.2 innings. He did not record a strikeout.

Cano entered the game in the ninth with a one-run lead, earning the save chance in place of a resting Craig Kimbrel, who had pitched in each of the previous two contests. Cano allowed the first three batters to reach base but then induced Rowdy Tellez into a fielder's choice. A groundball by the next batter, Edward Olivares, looked like it might result in a game-ending double play, but the throw from second by Gunnar Henderson was wide, allowing two runs to score and saddling Cano with his first loss. Prior to Sunday's outing, Cano had allowed four baserunners and recorded five strikeouts over 4.1 scoreless innings.

Snider exited his relief appearance in Sunday's 12-4 loss to the Brewers early due to a kneecap injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Snider entered the game in the bottom of the fourth inning, allowing a single and a walk before a Sal Frelick liner hit him in the leg, resulting in another base knock and Snider's removal from the contest. After the loss, manager Scott Servais said that the right-hander sustained a contusion on his left kneecap, and he's considered day-to-day for the time being. The Mariners are set to launch a three-game series on the road in Toronto on Monday, and they'll likely carry an additional reliever on their taxi squad for the trip.

Palencia was recalled from Triple-A Iowa on Sunday, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

The right-hander failed to make the Cubs' Opening Day roster but will now join the MLB club with Julian Merryweather (shoulder) headed to the injured list. Palencia made his big-league debut last season and had a 4.45 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB across 28.1 innings out of the bullpen.

Hernandez was recalled Sunday from Triple-A Indianapolis, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Hernandez will be brought up to the Pirates roster with pitcher Ryan Borucki being placed on the 15-day IL with left triceps inflammation. The second-year reliever pitched two games in late March, logging two innings and one save before getting sent down to Triple-A. Though he was called up concurrently with Borucki's injury, Hernandez could keep his spot if able to perform well when called from the bullpen.
