Runzler's contract was purchased from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

Runzler had a solid season with Indianapolis, as he built a 3.05 ERA and 1.57 WHIP over 40 games (41.1 innings). The 32-year-old has some MLB experience but last appeared in the show in 2012 while on the Giants. He'll likely be used by Pittsburgh in low-leverage situations.

Garcia picked up his ninth hold of the season Saturday with a scoreless inning in a 5-4 win over the Nationals.

Garcia was impressive, using a fastball that topped out at 100 mph and hard sliders to strike out Ryan Zimmerman, Daniel Murphy and Anthony Rendon. He's settled into a setup role in front of Hector Neris and is likely next in line for save chances in Philly.

Rodney (4-4) allowed four runs -- three earned -- while recording just a single out to blow his sixth save of the season during Saturday's loss to San Diego.

The veteran had converted 15 consecutive saves before Saturday's implosion. His 4.68 ERA and 1.24 WHIP are nothing to write home about, but saves are more valuable than ever in September, and he's in line to continue piling them up.

Hand pitched a scoreless ninth inning to collect his 17th save of the season during Saturday's win over Arizona.

Hand has had a couple of hiccups since taking over the San Diego closer job, but his job is secure, and he boasts an excellent 2.38 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 11.8 K/9 for the campaign. His save opportunities could be few and far between down the stretch, but the lefty is still a strong fantasy asset in all settings.

Montero (5-9) allowed one run on four hits and five walks while striking out five across five innings to earn the victory Saturday against the Reds.

Montero allowed his only run in the second inning to fall behind 1-0, and despite struggling with his control, he was able to keep the Reds off the scoreboard the rest of the way, helping lead the Mets to a home victory. He's posted two strong outings over his last three starts to lower his ERA from 5.64 to 5.05, but his consistent control issues provide the potential for significant downside to fantasy managers. He'll make his next start Friday against the Braves.

Neris allowed no runs on one walk while striking out one across one inning to earn his 20th save Saturday against the Nationals.

Neris was protecting a one-run lead and needed 21 pitches before finally closing the door on the Nationals. He hasn't blown a game since June 21, and with a 3.06 ERA, he's been a solid closer option for fantasy manager.

Leiter (3-5) allowed four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out eight across six innings to earn the victory Saturday against the Nationals.

Leiter had a 5-1 lead going into the bottom of the fourth inning, but let the Nationals pull within a single run before the bullpen took over to protect the victory. His ERA (4.84) his gone up almost a full run over his last three starts, making him a risky fantasy option. He'll make his next start Friday against the Athletics.

Banda was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Saturday, Jack Magruder of FanRagSports.com reports.

Reno was eliminated from the Triple-A playoffs Thursday night, freeing up Banda to return to the Diamondbacks. The lefty made four starts for Arizona earlier in the second half, but he largely struggled and the team has not given any indication that it plans to deploy Banda in the rotation over the remaining weeks.

Manager Craig Counsell said Suter will start Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

With Jimmy Nelson (shoulder) done for the year, Suter will step into the Brewers' rotation for the time being. Suter owns a respectable 3.63 ERA and 1.21 WHIP through 10 starts (52 innings) this season, so he's expected to start in Nelson's place the rest of the way, though that hasn't been confirmed yet. The 28-year-old hasn't tossed more than 43 pitches in an outing since returning from the disabled list at the beginning of September, so he'll likely be limited in his return to the rotation.

Nelson will miss the remainder of the season with a right rotator cuff strain and partial anterior labrum tear.

This is brutal news for Nelson and the playoff-hopeful Brewers. The 28-year-old injured his shoulder while sliding back to first base in Friday's 2-0 win over the Cubs, and while it's unclear if the issue will require surgery to repair, it will leave him sidelined until 2018 regardless. Nelson emerged as one of the better pitchers in the National League this season, compiling a solid 3.49 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 199 strikeouts -- all career-best numbers -- in 175.1 innings, and his 10.2 K/9 was the fourth-best rate in the NL this season. He'll now turn his focus towards getting healthy and returning to the rotation as Milwaukee's ace next season. In his place, Brent Suter will likely step into the rotation for the remainder of the season.
