Adrian Morejon RP | SD
Padres' Adrian Morejon: Grabs save Wednesday
Morejon earned the save in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Nationals, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.
With Robert Suarez serving a suspension, the Padres turned to Morejon in the ninth inning Wednesday to close out a one-run victory. The left-hander made quick work of the Nats, retiring the side on just seven pitches, to earn his second save this season. Morejon has been dominant of late, allowing just one unearned run in his last 15.2 innings -- he's given up three hits while striking out 17 in that span. His ERA is down to 2.04 with a 0.82 WHIP and 33:6 K:BB across 35.1 innings this season. However, with Suarez eligible to return Saturday, Morejon figures to remain in a setup role moving forward.

Matt Svanson P | STL
Cardinals' Matt Svanson: Rejoins big-league bullpen
The Cardinals recalled Svanson from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday.
Svanson has been shuttled back and forth between Memphis and St. Louis multiple times this season, collecting a 3.95 ERA and 12:7 K:BB over 13.2 frames during his time with the big club. He will provide manager Oliver Marmol with a fresh bullpen arm in Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Jonathan Pintaro SP | NYM
Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Moves up to big leagues
The Mets selected Pintaro's contract from Double-A Binghamton on Wednesday.
A 27-year-old righty who went undrafted out of Division II Shorter University in 2022, Pintaro made a rapid ascent to the big leagues after he had been pitching in independent ball in Montana a year ago before signing a minor-league deal with the Mets last June. He's thrived while pitching out of the rotation with Binghamton in 2025, turning in a 3.40 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 57:15 K:BB across 42.1 innings. Pintaro will work in long relief for the Mets initially, though he could garner consideration for a starting role with the big club at some point if a rotation spot opens up.

Sean Reynolds RP | SD
Padres' Sean Reynolds: Summoned to big club
The Padres recalled Reynolds from Triple-A El Paso on Wednesday.
San Diego placed starter Ryan Bergert (forearm) on the 15-day injured list to open up a spot on the 26-man active roster for Reynolds. Bergert tossed just three innings before leaving Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Nationals after being struck on the forearm by a comebacker, so Reynolds will offer the Padres a fresh relief arm for Wednesday's series finale after San Diego needed four relievers to cover the final six frames of Tuesday's contest. Reynolds has delivered a 4.15 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 19:8 K:BB in 21.2 innings at the big-league level this season.

Robert Suarez RP | ATL
Padres' Robert Suarez: Suspension reduced to two games
Suarez's suspension for hitting Shohei Ohtani with a pitch in last Thursday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers has been reduced to two games, and he will begin serving the suspension Wednesday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Suarez will be eligible to pitch again Saturday in Cincinnati. If a save opportunity arises for the Padres over the next two games, they could turn to Jason Adam, Jeremiah Estrada or Adrian Morejon.

Justin Wrobleski P | LAD
Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Nabs win in long relief
Wrobleski (3-2) picked up the win Tuesday against the Rockies, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.
Wrobleski followed opener Jack Dreyer, who completed the first inning, and Wrobleski delivered five solid frames. His seven strikeouts marked a season high, and he's added a tally in the win column in back-to-back appearances. In six outings this season, the 24-year-old has a 4.91 ERA and 1.23 WHIP across 29.1 innings. Wrobleski has operated as a bulk reliever in three straight appearances, and if he remains on schedule, he'd likely pitch Sunday against Kansas City.

Tanner Scott RP | LAD
Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Nabs four-out save
Scott picked up the save Tuesday against Colorado, allowing two hits over 1.1 scoreless innings. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.
Scott was forced into the game before the ninth inning after the Dodgers' advantage was trimmed to three with runners on first and second with two outs in the eighth. Scott allowed a two-RBI double to the first batter he faced, but he managed to hang on to grab his 16th save. He's converted each of his last six save chances and has allowed one earned run in his last 10 appearances (10.1 innings).

Calvin Faucher RP | MIA
Marlins' Calvin Faucher: Collects eighth save
Faucher walked one and struck out one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Giants.
Faucher extended his scoreless streak to 10.2 innings over his last 12 appearances. His last outing Sunday ended in a hold after Faucher was deployed in the eighth inning while Ronny Henriquez took the ninth. Faucher still looks to be the Marlins' closer -- at worst, he's the most trusted high-leverage option, especially given his recent steady pitching. He's maintained a 3.45 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP and 26:12 K:BB over 28.2 innings while adding eight saves, three holds and three blown saves. Faucher has been scored upon in just four of his 32 appearances.
