  • Braves' Arodys Vizcaino: Slams door Sunday

Vizcaino allowed two hits and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning as he notched his 15th save Sunday against San Diego.

After entering the game in the ninth with a three-run lead, Vizcaino surrendered two hits before settling down to fan two hitters and escape with the save. He's converted eight straight save opportunities, and he hasn't allowed a run since May 15 against the Cubs.

  • Matt Strahm RP | KC

Padres' Matt Strahm: Puts together solid performance

Strahm allowed no runs on one hit while striking out five across 2.2 innings Sunday against the Braves. He didn't factor into the decision.

Strahm certainly did his part, as he worked into the third inning while serving as an opener for Sunday's "bullpen day" in the series finale, although the Padres would ultimately lose 4-1. He sports a stellar 2.21 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 17 strikeouts across 20.1 innings this season.

  • Marlins' Trevor Richards: Tagged with loss

Richards (1-4) surrendered six runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out two across 3.1 innings Sunday as he took the loss against the Orioles.

Richards had been solid through his past three outings coming into Sunday's start, allowing four runs across 15.2 innings, but Baltimore jumped on him for two runs in the second, two in the third and two more in the fourth, putting his team in a 6-1 hole. The 25-year-old right-hander has made eight starts thus far in 2018, posting a 5.45 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP while allowing opposing hitters to bat .272 against him through 38 innings.

  • Caleb Ferguson RP | STL

Dodgers' Caleb Ferguson: Takes loss Sunday

Ferguson (0-1) allowed four runs (three earned) on two hits and one walk while striking out six across five innings to take the loss Sunday against the Giants.

Ferguson allowed only three baserunners but surrendered two home runs, the direct cause of all the tallies he allowed. He was solid otherwise, generating an impressive 16 swinging strikes and starting 13 of the 19 batters he faced with a strike. After throwing only 57 and 65 pitches, respectively, in his first two starts of the season, Ferguson was allowed to throw 84 in his start Sunday. That bodes well for him pitching deeper into games if he remains in Dodgers' rotation moving forward.

  • Hector Neris RP | HOU

Phillies' Hector Neris: Allows four runs Sunday

Neris allowed four runs in just 0.2 innings Sunday, yielding two home runs, four hits and one strikeout in a 10-9 win over Milwaukee.

Jake Thompson would relieve Neris and clean up his mess to record a one-out save. After the awful performance Sunday, Neris' ERA has shot up to 6.00 on the season. Though he didn't enter this game with a save situation (it was 10-5 to start the bottom of the ninth), Neris, who also has three blown saves this year, could have hurt his chances to receive such opportunities in the near future. Seranthony Dominguez still looks like the best option for those.

  • Mets' Robert Gsellman: Set to rejoin setup ranks

Gsellman is slated to work as a setup man for the Mets following Jeurys Familia's (shoulder) reinstatement from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.

As one of the Mets' top relievers this season, Gsellman was considered one of the likelier candidates to close for the Mets while Familia was sidelined. With the Mets going 2-6 during Familia's absence and Anthony Swarzak notching the lone save opportunity made available during that stretch, Gsellman didn't pay dividends for those who scooped him up in pursuit of help in the saves category. Gsellman should immediately settle back into a high-leverage role in front of Familia, whom manager Mickey Callaway stated he wouldn't be afraid to use in a save situation Sunday.

  • Jorge Lopez RP | WAS

Brewers' Jorge Lopez: Headed back to Colorado Springs

Lopez was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday.

Lopez logged two scoreless innings for the Brewers on Saturday in his only appearance since his June 12 call-up. Though he struck out four batters, Lopez played with fire a bit, allowing five baserunners via three walks and two base knocks. The Brewers will essentially make a bullpen swap here, returning Lopez to the minors in favor of a fresh, right-handed arm in Adrian Houser, who was recalled in a corresponding move. It's highly unlikely this is the last Lopez has seen of the majors in 2018.

  • Luke Jackson RP | SEA

Braves' Luke Jackson: Back with Atlanta

Jackson signed a major-league contract with the Braves on Sunday.

Jackson was outrighted to Triple-A Gwinnett just two days earlier after being designated for assignment June 13, but he'll be back in the Atlanta bullpen in time for the series finale. The right-hander will take the place of long man Luiz Gohara, who has struggled of late and was optioned to Gwinnett in a corresponding move.

  • Shelby Miller RP | CHC

Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Excels in rehab start

Miller (elbow) worked 6.2 scoreless innings in a rehab start Saturday for High-A Visalia, giving up three hits and no walks and striking out 10.

After being tagged for eight runs his last time out June 10 at Double-A Jackson, Miller bounced back in grand fashion Saturday in what might have been his final rehab start. The right-hander tossed 81 pitches in the outing and used his full arsenal, putting him on the cusp of a return from the 60-day disabled list. It's not immediately clear if Miller will reclaim a rotation spot once he returns from the DL, however, as the Diamondbacks have gotten quality performances from back-end starters Matt Koch and Clay Buchholz over the last few weeks and may be reluctant to move either to the bullpen.

  • Matt Bowman RP | MIN

Cardinals' Matt Bowman: Impressive since return from injury

Bowman fired 1.2 scoreless innings in which he recorded a strikeout during a loss to the Cubs on Saturday. He's now pitched 2.2 scoreless innings over two days since returning from a disabled list stint due to finger blisters.

The 27-year-old right-hander had looked impressive in his three rehab appearances for Triple-A Memphis, and he's been even sharper over the past two days against the Cubs. Manager Mike Matheny wasted no time throwing Bowman back into action Friday, and he deemed him fit to throw another 16 pitches in Saturday's efficient appearance. Bowman had been struggling prior to his DL stint, but the blisters that ultimately sidelined him likely had a part to play in those difficulties.
