Jorge Guzman RP | SF
Marlins' Jorge Guzman: Should resume throwing soon
Guzman (elbow) is expected to begin a throwing program later this week, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Guzman was shut down last week due to right elbow inflammation, but the 25-year-old doesn't look like he'll be in store for a lengthy absence. Since he'll still need at least a couple weeks to work his way through a throwing progression before being ready to face hitters, Guzman shouldn't be expected to make any further appearances during the Marlins' Grapefruit League schedule. He looks on track to be healthy in time for the start of Triple-A Jacksonville's season in May, however.

Dylan Floro RP | ARI
Marlins' Dylan Floro: Slated to pitch Monday
Marlins manager Don Mattingly said Floro (undisclosed) would be available out of the bullpen for Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Floro looks poised to make his spring debut after the Marlins delayed his entry into the pitching schedule while he dealt with some soreness earlier in camp. After mostly working in middle innings as a member of a deep Dodgers bullpen in 2020, Floro is expected to pitch in more high-leverage situations for a Marlins squad lacking in established relief options. He could even factor into the mix for saves, though Anthony Bass is probably the most likely candidate to open the season as the Marlins' primary closer.

Dinelson Lamet RP | LAD
Padres' Dinelson Lamet: Tosses another sim game
Lamet hurled one simulated inning Saturday, firing his fastball at 95-96 mph, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Lamet's sim inning included a number of sliders, suggesting that the right-hander is shedding the throwing restrictions placed on him earlier in camp. Still, the Padres are taking a cautious approach with Lamet, and it remains to be seen when (or if) he'll get into a Cactus League game. The 28-year-old is expected to be an important part of the Padres' rotation this season, but there's no guarantee that he'll be game-ready by Opening Day.

Matt Moore RP | BOS
Phillies' Matt Moore: Making case for rotation spot
Moore allowed just one run on one hit Sunday against the Pirates, picking up the win while striking out three and walking none over four innings.
The major-league deal Moore signed in January seems to imply the Phillies view him as a rotation favorite, though he's earning a relatively low $3 million, which doesn't give him a ton of job security. The job is likely Moore's until he pitches his way out of it, and he certainly hasn't done that so far this spring, allowing just a single run on three hits and a walk in eight innings of work. He's not a particularly interesting fantasy option given his mediocre strikeout numbers and hitter-friendly home park, but in leagues deep enough where every starter with a job has value he should at least clear that bar. Spencer Howard remains an interesting prospect despite his shaky debut and could move ahead of Moore or fellow veteran Chase Anderson at some point this season, but he may open in the bullpen or minors to manage his innings.

Tejay Antone RP | CIN
Reds' Tejay Antone: Expects to make next start
Antone (groin) expects to make his next Cactus League start, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Antone felt a small tweak in his groin during the third inning of Sunday's spring start against the Padres, but he sounded upbeat after the game and said that he thinks he'll be fine. While the Reds will presumably monitor him over the next few days, it doesn't sound as though Antone's injury will be a long-term issue.

Tejay Antone RP | CIN
Reds' Tejay Antone: Exits with injury
Antone left Sunday's spring game against the Padres due to a mild right groin strain, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Antone allowed four runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks while striking out five over 2.2 innings during Sunday's start, but he was unable to complete the third frame due to a groin issue. It's not yet clear whether the injury will force Antone to miss additional time or whether the issue will impact his availability for Opening Day.

Connor Brogdon RP | CLE
Phillies' Connor Brogdon: Fine after exiting Sunday
Manager Joe Girardi said Brogdon is "fine" after a rib issue forced him to exit Sunday's spring game against the Pirates, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
It's apparently a somewhat common issue for the 26-year-old to have a rib pop out, so the rib was popped back in and he's good to go. Brogdon made his big-league debut for the Phillies last season and pitched well with a 3.97 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB over 11.1 innings.

Adrian Morejon RP | SD
Padres' Adrian Morejon: Impressive again Saturday
Morejon hurled three innings in Saturday's Cactus League contest versus Arizona, allowing one run on four hits and no walks while striking out five.
Morejon surrendered a leadoff home run to Ketel Marte, but he had little trouble with the Diamondbacks thereafter. The southpaw has allowed only two runs through seven innings this spring while striking out 10. His six walks are worrisome, but Morejon eased some of that concern by refusing to yield a free pass Saturday. The 22-year-old is expected to break camp with San Diego, though his role has yet to be laid out. Morejon is in contention for a rotation spot, but he could also function in a multiple-inning relief role.

Daniel Ponce de Leon RP | WAS
Cardinals' Daniel Ponce de Leon: Impressive in starting opportunity
Ponce de Leon started Saturday's Grapefruit League win over the Marlins, allowing an earned run on four hits, a walk and a hit batsman across 3.2 innings. He struck out two.
Ponce de Leon entered spring training as a candidate for the No. 5 spot in the starting rotation, which, at the time, was the only projected vacancy. Subsequently, No. 3 starter Miles Mikolas (shoulder) has seen his chances of Opening Day availability diminish significantly, and more recently, No. 2 hurler Kwang Hyun Kim has been temporarily sidelined with back tightness after struggling with velocity early. Consequently, Ponce de Leon's chances of earning some early-season starts seem to have gone up, and Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports Saturday's outing naturally served to fuel his candidacy. "I was really encouraged by Ponce's start tonight," manager Mike Shildt said postgame. "His arsenal was quality tonight. Really big league quality for sure."

Connor Brogdon RP | CLE
Phillies' Connor Brogdon: Suffers back injury in relief outing
Brogdon was removed from his relief appearance in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates due to a back injury, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
After striking out the first batter he faced, Brogdon asked out of the contest when manager Joe Girardi and a team trainer visited him on the mound. The 26-year-old can be considered day-to-day until the Phillies provide another update on his condition.
