  • Mitch White RP | MIL

Dodgers' Mitch White: Moves back to minors

The Dodgers optioned White to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Los Angeles will swap White out of its bullpen for a fresh arm in Edwin Uceta, who was recalled from Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. White hasn't been particularly effective over his 14.1 innings with the Dodgers this season, giving up 14 runs (six earned) on 15 hits and eight walks.

  • Edwin Uceta RP | TB

Dodgers' Edwin Uceta: Returns from minors

The Dodgers recalled Uceta from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Los Angeles demoted reliever Mitch White to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Over his seven appearances with the Dodgers earlier in 2021, Uceta went 0-2 with a 3.55 ERA and 1.18 WHIP across 12.2 innings.

  • Kevin Ginkel RP | ARI

Diamondbacks' Kevin Ginkel: Demoted to Triple-A

The Diamondbacks optioned Ginkel to Triple-A Reno following Saturday's 9-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Ginkel's demotion comes in the wake of perhaps his worst relief appearance of the season. During Saturday's loss, Ginkel retired only three of the eight batters he faced in a 36-pitch outing, giving up three earned runs on a double and four walks. The loss of control was a surprise from Ginkel; he had issued only three free passes over his last 14 relief appearances combined.

  • Conner Menez RP | CHC

Giants' Conner Menez: Demoted after rough outing

The Giants optioned Menez to Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday.

Menez will head back to the minors after he was tagged for five runs on six hits and two walks over two innings of relief in Saturday's 13-6 loss. He'll cede his spot in the Giants bullpen to John Brebbia (elbow), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Sunday.

  • John Brebbia RP | COL

Giants' John Brebbia: Comes off IL

The Giants reinstated Brebbia (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Sunday.

Brebbia is ready to make his Giants debut after he opened the season on the shelf while he continued to recover from his June 2020 Tommy John surgery. The 31-year-old right-hander was effective during his eight-appearance rehab assignment in the minors, giving up three earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out 11 over seven innings. Now that he's healthy again, Brebbia could emerge as a trusted arm in the bridge to the Giants' primary closing options, Tyler Rogers and Jake McGee.

  • Angel Perdomo RP | LAA

Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Makes first rehab appearance

Perdomo (back) struck out the side in his lone inning of work during Sunday's rehab outing at Triple-A Nashville.

Perdomo was sharp in his first appearance at any level since May 24, but he wasn't as overpowering as his box-score line would indicate. He didn't induce a single swing and miss among his 18 pitches, as all 11 of the strikes he threw were either called strikes or fouled off. The Brewers may want to see Perdomo make another appearance or two in the minors before reinstating him from the 10-day injured list.

  • Joe Harvey RP | ATL

Rockies' Joe Harvey: Moves up to big club

The Rockies selected Harvey's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

Harvey will give the Rockies a fresh arm out of the bullpen after the team needed five relievers to cover the final seven innings of Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Brewers following starter Austin Gomber's (forearm) early exit. Gomber was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday to clear room on the active roster for Harvey, who posted a 2.63 ERA and 1.59 WHIP across 15 appearances with Albuquerque.

  • Sam Howard RP | DET

Pirates' Sam Howard: Shut down with knee issue

The Pirates placed Howard on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to right knee tendinitis.

The injury likely played a part in Howard's worst outing of the season Friday, when he was lit up for six runs on four hits and two walks while retiring just two Cleveland batters. The disastrous showing moved Howard's season ERA from a tidy 2.45 all the way up to 4.44. Pittsburgh recalled lefty Austin Davis from Triple-A Indianapolis to fill Howard's spot in the bullpen.

  • Wil Crowe RP | PIT

    Pirates' Wil Crowe: No-decision Saturday

Crowe didn't factor into the decision Saturday against Cleveland after allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while fanning two across 4.2 innings.

Crowe got off to a slow start this season, but he has been turning things around of late, having given up two runs in each of his last two outings covering 9.2 innings. While he can't be trusted to pitch deep into games, he's been tossing the ball better compared to May, when he finished with a 6.04 ERA across five starts. Crowe is tabbed to make his next start on the road against the Cardinals next week.

  • Yennsy Diaz RP | NYM

Mets' Yennsy Diaz: Dropped from active roster

The Mets optioned Diaz to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

Diaz's stay with the big club lasted just one day after the Mets recalled him from Syracuse on Saturday to serve as their 27th man for a doubleheader with Washington. He appeared in the second game of the twin bill, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
