Giants' Tyler Rogers: Records one-out save

Rogers saved Sunday's 5-2 victory over Arizona, walking one while recording the final out.

After starter Anthony DeSclafani went 8.2 innings, Rogers entered to lock up the San Francisco victory with a Josh Reddick groundout. It took 17 pitches to record the out and with a quick turnaround Monday, Rogers' availability may be limited.

  • Austin Adams RP | BOS

Padres' Austin Adams: Picks up relief win

Adams (3-2) allowed no hits and one walk in one scoreless inning to earn the win against the Phillies on Sunday.

Adams relieved Blake Snell in the fifth inning, and he picked up his first win since May 29 since the Padres' offense provided plenty of run support early in the contest. The right-hander has allowed just one unearned run in 5.1 innings across his last seven appearances.

  • Andre Jackson RP | PIT

Dodgers' Andre Jackson: Harnessing stuff in Double-A

Jackson has a 3.91 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 62:14 K:BB across 46 innings spanning 11 appearances for Double-A Tulsa this season.

The good news is that Jackson has reined in the control issues that plagued him in 2019, when he walked 57 batters in 114.2 innings across two levels. The bad news is that being around the strike zone so much has resulted in Jackson serving up 11 long balls already this year -- with six of them coming in his last four outings. The 25-year-old righty also hasn't exceeded five innings in any start this season, so there's not much reason to think that he's close to contributing to the big-league rotation.

  • Dodgers' Garrett Cleavinger: Tosses scoreless inning as opener

Cleavinger allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one in one scoreless inning in Sunday's win over the Nationals. He didn't factor into the decision.

The Dodgers utilized a bullpen game Sunday with Trevor Bauer on administrative leave. Cleavinger retired the first two batters he faced but gave up a double and a walk with two outs. He struck out Yadiel Hernandez to end the inning, but he settled for a no-decision following his lone inning. The southpaw was reinstated from the injured list June 17, and he's allowed one unearned run in 7.1 scoreless innings across seven appearances since his return. He should return to the bullpen going forward.

  • Anthony Bass RP | TOR

Marlins' Anthony Bass: Stuck with loss Sunday

Bass (1-4) gave up a run on one hit and three walks in two-thirds of an inning in Sunday's extra-inning loss to Atlanta.

The right-hander had a rather bizarre appearance in the 10th inning. He intentionally walked two of the first three batters, getting initial runner Austin Riley out on a throw for the second out. Bass then loaded the bases with one more intentional walk to Kevan Smith to get to the pitcher's spot in the order. Atlanta sent pitcher Max Fried up as a pinch hitter, and he delivered a walkoff single to stick Bass with the loss. To make matters worse, the run he allowed counted as an earned run and lifted his ERA to 4.40 with a 1.27 WHIP through 30.2 innings this year. The right-hander has 10 holds and four blown saves, but he should continue to see high-leverage work despite some inconsistency.

  • Will Smith RP | KC

Braves' Will Smith: Earns third win

Smith (3-5) pitched a perfect inning and earned the win in Sunday's 8-7 extra-inning win over Miami.

Smith kept the game tied in the top of the 10th inning, and Atlanta walked it off on an RBI single by pitcher-turned-pinch-hitter Max Fried in the bottom of the 10th. Through 38 outings, Smith has a 3.53 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 46:12 K:BB while serving as Atlanta's primary closer. He's gone 17-for-19 in save chances this year.

  • Lucas Sims RP | CHW

Reds' Lucas Sims: Out until late July

Sims (elbow) is expected to return from the injured list in late July, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The right-hander was expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks after landing on the injured list with an elbow sprain June 24, and it appears he'll be out through the end of that initial timeline and perhaps a bit longer. It's unclear if Sims has resumed throwing since landing on the shelf.

  • Tejay Antone RP | CIN

Reds' Tejay Antone: Could return in late July

Antone (forearm) recently received a platelet-rich plasma injection and is expected to return from the injured list near the end of July, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander had an MRI on his forearm come back clean last weekend, and he's now received a PRP injection to aid his recovery. It's unclear when Antone is expected to resume throwing, and when he does it should provide a better idea how realistic a return in late July would be.

  • Yennsy Diaz RP | NYM

Mets' Yennsy Diaz: Back with Mets

Diaz was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

The right-hander was sent to Triple-A on June 23 and will rejoin the Mets on Sunday with Sean Reid-Foley (elbow) landing on the injured list. Diaz has given up three earned runs on five hits with eight strikeouts and four walks across 6.1 innings this season.

  • John Curtiss RP | ARI

Marlins' John Curtiss: Dealing with neck stiffness

Curtiss was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with neck stiffness, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Curtiss last pitched one-third of an inning June 30 and has now landed on the injury list with the neck issue. Jordan Holloway was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move.
