Brent Suter RP | LAA
Brewers' Brent Suter: Dad heads to paternity list
Suter was placed on the paternity list Friday.
Suter has pitched in three of the Brewers' last four games, and he allowed two hits and a walk while striking out four in 3.1 innings. The southpaw will be away from the team for 1-to-3 days following the birth of his child, while Jandel Gustave was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to provide additional bullpen depth in Suter's absence.

Garrett Cleavinger RP | TB
Dodgers' Garrett Cleavinger: Rejoins big club
Cleavinger was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.
The 28-year-old was demoted to Triple-A at the start of May but will return to the majors with Clayton Kershaw (hip) landing on the injured list. Cleavinger had a 3.00 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 21:12 K:BB over 18 innings for the Dodgers in 2021, and he's allowed one run over 1.2 frames through two outings this season.

Duane Underwood RP | NYY
Pirates' Duane Underwood: Mixed results in return
Underwood allowed two earned runs on four hits and struck out four across two innings Thursday against the Reds.
Underwood made his return from a hamstring injury that had sidelined him since Opening Day and handled the eighth and ninth innings with the Pirates facing a deficit. He allowed two runs in his first frame of work, allowing two singles and a double. However, he punched out three of the last five batters he faced to end his outing positively. Underwood may not immediately factor into high-leverage scenarios, but he should be a candidate to pick up holds later in the season.

Joan Adon SP | WAS
Nationals' Joan Adon: Takes another loss
Adon (1-6) allowed three earned runs on three hits and five walks while striking out two across 3.2 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Mets.
Adon struggled mightily with his command, which ultimately sunk his outing. He allowed three walks before a two-RBI single in the opening frame. Adon handed out an additional two free passes in the second inning but was able to work out of the jam. In addition to inflating his ERA, Adon's inability to find the strike zone has also run up his pitch count. As a result, he's now completed fewer than five innings in five of his seven starts. Overall, he has a 7.03 ERA and 29:23 K:BB across 32 innings this season.

Mitch White RP | MIL
Dodgers' Mitch White: Building up as starter
White (illness) is currently stretched out to throw two innings, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
The Dodgers are hoping to get White stretched out to a five-inning workload, which eliminates him from consideration to start a game in Tuesday's doubleheader against Arizona. Prior to being placed on the COVID-19 injured list April 30, White had thrown eight innings out of the bullpen and maintained a 4.50 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP with an 8:2 K:BB.

Victor Gonzalez RP | LAA
Dodgers' Victor Gonzalez: Undergoes surgery
Gonzalez underwent surgery on his elbow Wednesday, Sarah Wexler of MLB.com reports.
Manager Dave Roberts noted Gonzalez is feeling "as good as expected" after the procedure. There is no clear timetable for the left-hander's return to the mound, though late August is the team's current estimate.

Yency Almonte RP | LAD
Dodgers' Yency Almonte: Contract selected by Dodgers
Almonte's contract was selected by the Dodgers on Thursday.
Almonte made 48 relief appearances for the Rockies last year and recorded a 7.55 ERA and 1.59 WHIP in 47.2 innings. He began the 2022 season at Triple-A Oklahoma City and posted a 3.52 ERA and 0.86 in 15.1 innings over 11 minor-league outings. The right-hander will join the major-league bullpen after Ryan Pepiot was sent down Thursday, and Almonte is unlikely to pitch in many high-leverage situations.

Duane Underwood RP | NYY
Pirates' Duane Underwood: Returns from injured list
Underwood (hamstring) was activated from the 10-day injured list Thursday.
Underwood has been sidelined since experiencing hamstring discomfort in the season opener, but he'll rejoin the active roster ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Reds. He had a 4.33 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 65:27 K:BB across 72.2 innings for the Buccos last year.

Max Kranick RP | WAS
Pirates' Max Kranick: Optioned to Triple-A
Kranick was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday.
The 24-year-old has made two relief appearances for the major-league club this year, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out four over five scoreless innings. In spite of his strong results, Kranick will head back to the minors after Duane Underwood (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Thursday.

Lucas Sims RP | CHW
Reds' Lucas Sims: Dealing with bulging disc in back
Sims is dealing with a bulging disc in his back, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Sims was diagnosed with low back spasms when he was placed on the 15-day injured list Thursday, and manager David Bell clarified the nature of the 28-year-old's injury following the move. The right-hander started some light exercises and core strengthening Thursday. Bell said he doesn't have a prediction regarding how long Sims will be sidelined but said that he hasn't heard anyone talk about the injury as a long-term issue. Art Warren, Tony Santillan and Hunter Strickland are the top candidates for ninth-inning work in Sims' absence.
