Elieser Hernandez RP | ATL
Marlins' Elieser Hernandez: Coughs up four homers
Hernandez allowed eight runs on eight hits and two walks over 4.1 innings out of the bullpen in Friday's loss to the Giants. He struck out seven and did not factor in the decision.
Hernandez entered the game in the second inning after Richard Bleier served as the opener. He quickly gave up four runs in the frame, including a three-run homer from Mike Yastrzemski. The 27-year-old then allowed a home run in each of the third, fifth and sixth innings. Hernandez now owns an unsightly 6.75 ERA through 48 innings this season. He's currently projected to face the Nationals at home next week but it's unclear if Miami will give him another turn in the rotation.

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Plays catch
Treinen (shoulder) played catch Friday at light intensity, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
This is the first time he has thrown since injuring his shoulder in mid-April. The session only lasted about five minutes but he came out feeling good and is going to continue with a throwing progression.

Ryan Rolison RP | CHC
Rockies' Ryan Rolison: Slated for surgery
Rolison (shoulder) will undergo surgery in the coming weeks, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
Rolison had been sidelined with a shoulder injury since the end of spring training, and the Rockies said this week that he hadn't made as much progress in his recovery as the team had hoped. After visiting with a specialist, the southpaw will undergo a procedure that will likely force him to miss the rest of the season. Rolison hasn't yet made his major-league debut, but it's possible that he'll join Colorado in 2023 as long as he's back to full health.

Peter Strzelecki RP | NYY
Brewers' Peter Strzelecki: Sent back to Nashville
Strzelecki was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Friday.
Strzelecki made his major-league debut Thursday against the Padres, and he allowed a run on two hits and two walks while striking out three in two relief innings to earn the win. However, the 27-year-old will head back to the minors after Luke Barker was recalled Friday.

Caleb Kilian RP | SF
Cubs' Caleb Kilian: Making MLB debut Saturday
Kilian will start Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, Tim Stebbins of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
The top pitching prospect in the organization, Kilian's arrival in the majors had been expected this summer. He has a 2.20 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 32:12 K:BB in 32.2 innings over his last seven starts at Triple-A. It took him a few starts to establish the mid-90s fastball velocity he finished last year's Arizona Fall League with en route to MVP honors of the championship game. If Kilian performs well in Saturday's start, he could be up for good.

Elieser Hernandez RP | ATL
Marlins' Elieser Hernandez: Available behind opener
Hernandez will be available out of the bullpen for Friday's game against the Giants, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Hernandez was listed as the starting pitcher for Friday's matchup, but Richard Bleier will serve as the opener against San Francisco. However, Hernandez will be available to serve as a bulk reliever since he isn't dealing with an injury.

John Brebbia RP | COL
Giants' John Brebbia: Starting bullpen game Friday
Brebbia will start Friday's game against the Marlins, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The 32-year-old will take the mound on short notice for his first career start Friday after Alex Cobb (back) was a late scratch. Brebbia hasn't pitched more than two innings in any of his first 22 appearances of the season, and he's unlikely to have a significant pitch count during Friday's bullpen game.

Nationals' Andres Machado: Recalled from Triple-A
Machado was promoted from Triple-A Rochester on Friday, Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Machado will return to the big leagues after being sent down Tuesday, filling in for Josh Rogers (shoulder) who was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday. The right-hander has produced a 5.40 ERA and 1.58 WHIP with 10 strikeouts over 13.1 innings in 12 appearances with the Nationals this season.
