Hernandez (forearm) will be part of Atlanta's roster for the NLDS against the Phillies, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Hernandez allowed three earned runs over just 3.2 major-league innings during the regular season and finished out the year on the 60-day injured list due to right forearm inflammation. Bowman notes, however, that the 27-year-old reliever "made a great impression" during Atlanta's pair of intrasquad games this week at Truist Park to secure a bullpen spot for the best-of-five National League Division Series versus Philadelphia. Michael Tonkin also made the cut, while Jesse Chavez and Kyle Wright did not.

Chavez was informed Friday that he will not be on Atlanta's roster for the NLDS, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Chavez returned in mid-September after missing three months because of a microfracture in his left shin, but the veteran reliever isn't quite at full strength leading into Atlanta's best-of-five NLDS matchup against the Phillies. Chavez will continue to work out on the side and could be reconsidered for a bullpen spot if the NL East champs advance to the NLCS.

Hudson (knee) is scheduled to pitch in an intrasquad game Thursday at Dodger Stadium, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Hudson has been sidelined since early July because of a sprained MCL in his right knee and won't be ready for the NLDS, but he is aiming to return to the Dodgers' bullpen if they advance to the NLCS. The veteran reliever resumed facing live hitters in late September and has progressed without issue so far.

Kimbrel allowed one hit in a scoreless inning to record a save in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Marlins in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series.

Kimbrel gave up a double to Josh Bell to put a run in scoring position, but he managed to close the door on the Marlins' hopes of coming back in Game 1. Kimbrel blew two of four save opportunities in September, despite an impressive 1.50 ERA in that stretch. However, the veteran right-hander is now a perfect 8-for-8 in save chances in the postseason over his career while posting a 3.96 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with 27 strikeouts across 25 innings.

Nelson is not on the Diamondbacks' roster for their NL Wild Card Series matchup versus the Brewers.

Bryce Jarvis is essentially being carried instead as the Diamondbacks roll with 12 pitchers and 14 position players. Nelson surrendered 10 runs -- nine earned -- over his final 6.2 innings to close out the 2023 regular season.

Weathers is on the Marlins' roster for their NL Wild Card Series matchup against the Phillies.

Weathers finished the regular season on a high note Sunday at Pittsburgh, scattering two hits and three walks over six scoreless innings in what was his longest start since May. The 23-year-old left-hander figures to operate in long relief in the best-of-three series versus Philadelphia.

Hoeing has been left off the Marlins' roster for their NL Wild Card Series matchup against Philadelphia.

Hoeing was a valuable swingman at times this season in Miami, but he surrendered 19 runs -- 18 earned -- over his final 13.2 innings. Johnny Cueto has also been excluded from the roster for this best-of-three series, with the Marlins opting to carry Ryan Weathers instead.

Busenitz struck out two over two perfect innings out of the bullpen in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Cardinals after the Reds selected his contract from Triple-A Louisville prior to the contest.

The Reds optioned Carson Spiers to the minors to open up a spot on 28-man active roster for Busenitz ahead of the season finale. Busenitz thus closes the season with a spot on the Reds' 40-man roster, though he may find himself on the chopping block once Cincinnati reinstates players from the 60-day injured list over the offseason. The 33-year-old right-hander made six relief appearances at the big-league level in 2023, posting a 2.57 ERA and 1.29 WHIP across seven innings.

The Cubs transferred Fulmer (forearm) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Fulmer had already been ruled out for the season after landing on the 15-day IL on Sept. 16 with a right forearm strain. His move to the 60-day IL was merely for procedural purposes, as the transaction opened up a spot on the 40-man roster for reliever Shane Greene. Assuming he doesn't require an offseason procedure to address the forearm strain, Fulmer should be fully cleared for spring training, but he may not be attending camp as a member of the Cubs organization. The 30-year-old right-hander is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason after accruing a 4.42 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 65:28 K:BB to go with three wins, 11 holds and two saves over 57 innings in 2023.

Bednar picked up the save in Sunday's 3-0 victory over the Marlins, striking out two over a perfect inning.

It was a fitting way for Bednar to wrap up the campaign, striking out his final two batters to close out a 3-0 Pirates' victory. Since Aug. 30, the 28-year-old Bednar pitched to a 1.35 ERA over 13.1 innings while converting 16 straight save chances. He'll end the year with 39 saves, tied for second most in the majors, with a 2.00 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 80 strikeouts over 67.1 innings.
