Richards will start a bullpen game Sunday against the Rangers, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Interim manager John Schneider said that everyone will be available, suggesting we will see a slew of arms in the series finale instead of an opener-primary situation. Richards has not thrown more than two innings in an appearance this season. Jose Berrios will be pushed back to Monday against the Rays.

Patino is slated to start Sunday's road game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

He'll be making his second straight turn through the rotation after he called up from Triple-A Durham on Monday to step into the injured Shane McClanahan's (shoulder) spot in the rotation. Patino took a no-decision his last time out against Boston, covering five innings and allowing three runs while striking out four.

Bautista (arm) played catch Saturday and has a chance to be available Saturday or Sunday against the Red Sox, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Bautista was unavailable Friday due to arm fatigue, but it looks as though he may have avoided a more serious injury. The Orioles won't know for sure until they see how his arm responds to throwing, but it's possible he's cleared to pitch right away.

Puk (3-2) was charged with the loss against the White Sox on Friday, allowing five earned runs on four hits, a walk and a hit batsman over two-thirds of an inning.

The left-hander was also charged with his fifth blown save of the season in what was a disastrous outing reminiscent of some of his troubles in past seasons. Tasked with closing out the White Sox while working with a 3-0 lead entering the ninth, Puk's frame started off encouragingly enough when he induced a Jose Abreu groundout, but an Eloy Jimenez solo home run, Andrew Vaughn RBI single and a run-scoring single and double by Romy Gonzalez and Elvis Andrus, respectively, accounted for the game-tying and go-ahead runs for Chicago. Prior to Friday's collapse, Puk had been enjoying a stellar second half of the season that had seen him forge a 1-0 record, four saves, six holds, a 2.60 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP across 17.1 innings over 18 appearances.

Romano gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his 32nd save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Rangers.

The right-hander extended his scoreless streak to 11 straight appearances with another dominant performance. Romano has a 17:3 K:BB through 12.2 innings during that stretch, and he now sports a dazzling 1.99 ERA and 0.99 WHIP on the season.

Winder will likely start Sunday's game against the Guardians, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Winder returned from the injured list at Triple-A St. Paul in late August after missing a month and a half due to a shoulder injury. He was scheduled to start Saturday's game at St. Paul but was ultimately scratched, likely so he can start for the Twins on Sunday. Assuming Winder is called up Sunday, it's not yet clear whether he'll earn more than one turn through the rotation.

Zerpa (knee) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

Zerpa has been on the injured list with right knee discomfort since late July, and he isn't eligible to be activated until late September. However, he'll appear in minor-league games over the next few weeks and should have a chance to rejoin the big-league club prior to the end of the regular season.

Castro (shoulder) will make a rehab appearance at Double-A Somerset on Sunday, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Castro has been throwing bullpen sessions recently, and he'll return to game action in the minors Sunday. He's been on the injured list since July 16 due to a shoulder injury, so he'll likely require more than one rehab appearance prior to rejoining the Yankees.

Chapman (leg) will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Somerset on Sunday, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.

Chapman threw a bullpen session Friday and will return to game action in the minors to close out the weekend. The southpaw expects to need at least one more rehab appearance prior to rejoining the Yankees, so it's possible that he'll remain on the injured list until late next week.

Wantz (2-1) was charged with the loss and a blown save against Houston on Friday, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out one batter over one inning.

Wantz came into the contest with the Angels up by a run in the seventh inning. He began the frame by allowing Trey Mancini to single, and Chas McCormick followed with a two-run home run to flip the lead in favor of the Astros. Though Wantz bounced back by retiring the next three hitters, the damage was done, and the righty reliever took his first loss in 55 career outings. Wantz has allowed three runs over his past two innings after going six straight appearances without surrendering a run or a hit.
