Miranda was diagnosed with a lip/mouth contusion after being hit by a pitch Tuesday against the White Sox, Megan Ryan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The 24-year-old had the pitch ricochet off his left hand before it struck him in the face, and it appears he's avoided a serious injury. Miranda should be considered day-to-day, and it's unclear if he'll be available Wednesday for the final game of the regular season.

Vargas is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Vargas went 0-for-4 during the matinee and will step out of the starting nine for Game 2. Cesar Hernandez will move to the hot corner while Josh Palacios starts in left field.

Bride isn't starting Tuesday against the Angels.

Tuesday marks the second game in a row that Bride has been left out of the starting lineup. In his place, Ernie Clement will start at third base and bat sixth.

With Sam Haggerty (groin strain) landing on the injured list, Toro is back up a day after getting demoted to assume the short side of a platoon over the final two days of the regular season. Toro is hitting .179/.236/.314 with nine home runs in 106 games.

Donaldson will sit for the first of Tuesday's two games against the Rangers.

The Yankees won't ask many regulars to play two games in one day, as they're locked into the second seed in the American League regardless of what happens in their final three games. Oswaldo Cabrera will play third base in Donaldson's absence.

LeMahieu will be on the bench for the first half of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rangers.

With the Yankees locked into the second seed regardless of what happens over the final three games of the season, the team won't be asking many regulars to start twice in one day. LeMahieu will likely return to action in the nightcap.
