Miranda was diagnosed with a lip/mouth contusion after being hit by a pitch Tuesday against the White Sox, Megan Ryan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
The 24-year-old had the pitch ricochet off his left hand before it struck him in the face, and it appears he's avoided a serious injury. Miranda should be considered day-to-day, and it's unclear if he'll be available Wednesday for the final game of the regular season.

Vargas went 0-for-4 during the matinee and will step out of the starting nine for Game 2. Cesar Hernandez will move to the hot corner while Josh Palacios starts in left field.

It's being labeled as a precautionary move, with manager Oliver Marmol saying that Arenado would be in the lineup without hesitation if Tuesday's game had any impact on the postseason picture. Juan Yepez is starting at third base and hitting sixth.

Toro was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma and is starting at second base while batting seventh in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Tigers.
With Sam Haggerty (groin strain) landing on the injured list, Toro is back up a day after getting demoted to assume the short side of a platoon over the final two days of the regular season. Toro is hitting .179/.236/.314 with nine home runs in 106 games.
