Moustakas is not in the lineup for Monday's game versus the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Red-hot left-hander Blake Snell is taking the ball for the Padres, so Moustakas will take a seat. Hunter Renfroe will get a start at first base Monday, with Luis Rengifo handling right field.

Lewis has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left oblique strain, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The moderate strain typically requires a recovery period of around six weeks, which means Lewis could potentially be sidelined into mid-August. It's yet another injury setback for Lewis, who didn't make his season debut for the Twins until late May as he recovered from a second ACL surgery. Jose Miranda is making a second straight start at third base for the Twins on Monday.

Madrigal was lifted ahead of the bottom of the fourth inning of Monday's game against the Brewers due to right hamstring tightness, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports. He went 1-for-2 with a double, two RBI and a run prior to his departure.

Madrigal appeared to suffer the injury in question while running into a side wall while pursing a fly ball in the bottom of the third. Though he was able to finish out that inning, Madrigal remained on the bench when the Cubs went out for defense in the fourth. The Cubs may send Madrigal in for further tests to confirm the severity of his injury, but it wouldn't be surprising if a trip to the 10-day injured list was in the forecast for the 26-year-old.

Madrigal (undisclosed) exited Monday's contest with the Brewers in the fourth inning, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.

Madrigal got banged up trying to catch a foul ball down the third base line and he was replaced at third base by Christopher Morel. More information on his status will likely be provided following the conclusion of Monday's game in Milwaukee.

Monasterio is starting at third base and batting sixth on Monday versus the Cubs.

With Brian Anderson going on paternity leave, Monasterio will be the first to fill in at the hot corner. It's the first start at third base at the major-league level for the 26-year-old.

Anderson was placed on the paternity leave list Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Anderson will be away for the next 1-3 games as he welcomes a little one into the world. Andruw Monasterio is at third base Monday and Owen Miller could also see time there while Anderson is away.

Mead (wrist) was reinstated from Triple-A Durham's 7-day injured list Thursday and went 5-for-9 with two doubles, one triple, two walks, four runs and two RBI in his first two games back with the affiliate.

Mead ended up missing two months with the wrist injury, which he suffered when he was hit by a pitch April 29. The prolonged absence likely means that Mead's big-league debut isn't imminent, though the 22-year-old didn't help his case for a promotion by posting a modest .646 OPS in 22 games prior to being shelved with the injury. The fact that Mead has turned in a pair of strong hitting performances since being activated is at least a promising early sign that his power hasn't been compromised by the recent wrist injury.

Suarez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a win over the Rays on Sunday.

Suarez's 397-foot shot to center in the second inning gave the Mariners their first run of the game and marked only his second time leaving the yard since June 13. Suarez does have an impressive body of work at the plate of late despite the modest power numbers, as he boasts a .303 average, .972 OPS, four extra-base hits, 10 RBI and an acceptable 22.0 percent strikeout rate over his last 10 games.

Garcia went 4-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's win over the Dodgers.

Garcia was moved up to the leadoff spot for Sunday's thrashing of the Dodgers and thrived in his new role, though oddly enough, he didn't score a run in a game the Royals put up nine. The 23-year-old now has nine hits over his last three games, and in a small sample size batting leadoff he's slashing .500/.529/.563 with three RBI and a 1:2 BB:K in 16 at-bats. It's possible Garcia could stick at leadoff since the Royals haven't gotten great production out of that spot all year. He's been mighty impressive with his bat and is now slashing .292/.340/.389 with 13 extra-base hits, 20 RBI, 23 runs and a 14:45 BB:K over 204 plate appearances.

Burger went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win against Oakland.

Burger's seventh-inning shot was his 18th of the year and proved to be the game's deciding run. Over his previous 15 games, he posted a brutal .376 OPS with just one homer and no multi-hit performances. After reaching base three times Sunday, Burger boosted his season slash line to .220/.273/.520 with 30 extra-base hits and 38 RBI through 67 games.
