Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Brewers' Brian Anderson: Remains out Saturday
Anderson (back) isn't in the Brewers' lineup Saturday against the Reds.
Anderson was scratched ahead of Friday's game with lower-back discomfort, and it appears it will keep him out for another game Saturday. Andruw Monasterio will start at third base and bat seventh, and Tyrone Taylor will start in right field while batting fifth.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Officially placed on injured list
Miranda was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a right shoulder impingement.
Miranda was scratched Friday due to shoulder soreness, an issue which turns out to be serious enough to sideline him for at least 10 days. The young third baseman has dealt with shoulder issues this season dating back to spring training, which may partially explain his poor .211/.263/.303 slash line. Matt Wallner was recalled to take his place on the roster.

Trey Cabbage 1B | PIT
Angels' Trey Cabbage: Makes big-league debut
Cabbage grounded out as a pinch hitter in his only plate appearance against Houston on Friday.
Cabbage received his first major-league call-up Friday and pinch hit for Michael Stefanic in the eighth inning, grounding into a fielder's choice with a pair of runners on base and one out. Cabbage has impressed in the minors over the past two seasons, including at Triple-A this year, where he slashed .287/.358/.576 with 23 homers, 64 RBI and 24 steals -- albeit with a 31.3 percent strikeout rate -- over 81 games. The 26-year-old may get a decent look with the Angels currently wracked by injuries to multiple position players, but he isn't expected to see an everyday role.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Registers 10th steal
Ramirez went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Friday's 12-4 loss to the Rangers.
Ramirez's steal was his 10th of the season and his first since June 29. The third baseman has hit safely in six straight games, going 7-for-23 (.304) in that span, though he has just one RBI on a solo home run during that stretch. He's maintained a strong .287/.362/.501 slash line with 14 homers, 53 RBI, 55 runs scored, 23 doubles and four triples through 87 contests.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Not in lineup
Paredes will sit for the first half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Paredes had a very productive first half, hitting .265/.370/.504 with 16 homers in 80 games. Taylor Walls will start at second base in the first game of Saturday's twin bill, but Paredes could return for the nightcap.

Zack Gelof CF | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Makes impact in debut
Gelof, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Las Vegas earlier in the day, went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in his big-league debut against the Twins on Friday.
The 23-year-old prospect got his big-league career off to a noteworthy start by delivering an RBI double in his second plate appearance. Gelof had been running hot at the plate in Las Vegas with a .300 average and .921 OPS through 68 games, and he should get an extended look against big-league arms during the second half of the season.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Heading to IL with shoulder issue
Miranda is likely to be placed on the 10-day injured list due to a sore shoulder, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
MIranda was scratched with the issue before Friday's game. Miranda has been bothered by the shoulder since spring training and it's a bad sign he had a setback after resting during the All-Star break. Matt Wallner is likely to be recalled from Triple-A, with Kyle Farmer, Willi Castro and Donovan Solano likely to split time at third base until Royce Lewis returns.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Continues power surge
Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk Friday in an 8-3 victory versus the Phillies.
Machado had been swinging a hot stick entering the All-Star break, and he carried over that momentum in the second half, swatting a solo shot to left field in the sixth inning. It was his seventh homer in his past nine games after the veteran third baseman went deep just nine times over his first 66 contests of the campaign. During the nine-game power surge, Machado is slashing .389/.463/1.000 and has knocked in 17 runs while scoring 11 times.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Nationals' Jeimer Candelario: Battling bone bruise in thumb
Candelario was removed from Friday's game against the Cardinals in the first inning with a bone bruise in his right thumb, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Per manager Davey Martinez, Candelario hurt his thumb doing a defensive drill before the game. The third baseman tried to play through it, but the injury felt worse when he tried to swing a bat. While he should be considered day-to-day for now, an IL stint may be on the table if Candelario doesn't show improvement in the next 24 hours.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Goes deep twice
Devers went 3-for-5 with two solo homers in Friday's win over the Cubs.
Devers wasted no time starting his second half off right with solo homers in the second and third innings. He's up to 22 long balls with an .841 OPS through 380 plate appearances. The 26-year-old slugger snapped a seven-game homerless drought and is now hitting .356 (21-for-59) with five home runs over the last 16 games.
