Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Astros' Isaac Paredes: Fields grounders, runs in outfield
Paredes (hamstring) fielded grounders and did some running in the outfield at Daikin Park on Wednesday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Astros manager Joe Espada said that Paredes had follow-up MRI on his right hamstring strain Tuesday, and while Espada didn't reveal those results, Paredes' workout suggests he got good news from the imaging. Paredes suffered a torn right hamstring shortly after the All-Star break but opted to forgo surgery and will attempt to return before the end of the regular season.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Orioles' Emmanuel Rivera: Filling in for Westburg
Rivera will start at third base and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game against the Padres.
He'll draw his third consecutive start at the hot corner and looks like he'll have an opportunity to play on a frequent basis until the Orioles get either of Jordan Westburg (ankle) or Tyler O'Neill (wrist) back from the injured list. Rivera has been running hot at the plate since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk last Wednesday, going 6-for-17 with six RBI.

Jordan Westburg 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Closing in on rehab assignment
Westburg (ankle) is expected to begin a rehab assignment within the next week, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Westburg's recovery from a right ankle sprain started out slowly, but he's made notable progress of late and is almost ready for game action. The infielder should be ready for activation from the 10-day injured list by mid-September as long as he continues to move in a positive direction.

Cody Freeman SS | TEX
Rangers' Cody Freeman: Claiming third straight start
Freeman will start at second base and bat sixth Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.
Freeman will draw his third consecutive start at the keystone and appears to have at least temporarily emerged as the Rangers' preferred option at the position over Ezequiel Duran, with Josh Smith having shifted over from second base to cover shortstop in the absence of Corey Seager (appendectomy). Since being recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Aug. 17, Freeman is slashing .250/.282/.444 with two home runs, one double, two walks, six RBI and five runs over 12 games.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Resting up Wednesday
Jung is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Ezequiel Duran will fill in at third base while Jung receives a breather for the day game. Jung had started in each of the Rangers' last 11 contests, slashing .400/.413/.622 with two home runs, nine runs and eight RBI during that span.

Blaze Alexander SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander: Another outfield start
Alexander started in center field and went 2-for-4 with an RBI and was caught stealing in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Texas.
Alexander started a second straight game in center field, both coming against left-handers. With the news that Lourdes Gurriel is done for the season with a torn ACL, there's a greater need for Alexander's right-handed bat in the outfield. He has experience in center field and replaced Gurriel in left field Monday.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Orioles' Emmanuel Rivera: Drives in four
Rivera went 2-for-5 with four RBI in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Padres.
Rivera took care of business with a pair of two-run singles to account for a majority of the Orioles' runs in this win. He has gone 6-for-17 (.353) over five games since his most recent call-up Aug. 27. He's sharing third base with Jeremiah Jackson for now, though both players figure to see their chances drop once Jordan Westburg (ankle) is able to return. Over 94 plate appearances in the majors this year, Rivera is slashing .253/.309/.287 with no home runs, three doubles, nine RBI, three runs scored and one stolen base.

Junior Caminero 3B | TB
Rays' Junior Caminero: Swats 40th homer
Caminero went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a two-RBI double and an RBI single during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Mariners.
Caminero posted his sixth game with more than three RBI this season, and notched multiple hits and RBI for a second straight contest. The third baseman has hit five home runs in his last 10 games, going 14-for-41 (.341) with three doubles and 14 RBI during that stretch. Caminero's sixth-inning homer off Bryan Woo made him the sixth player in baseball to reach the 40-homer mark in 2025.

Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA
Angels' Oswald Peraza: Hitting stride at plate
Peraza went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, a run scored and a stolen base during Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Royals.
Peraza has struggled mightily at the plate this season, slashing .152/.212/.241 in 170 plate appearances with the Yankees before being traded to the Halos. The versatile infielder started his time in Los Angeles going 2-for-18, but he's begun to turn it around. In his last four games, Peraza is 5-for-13 (.385) with a home run, two stolen bases and four total RBI.

Ernie Clement SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Clement is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.
Clement started the past two games after missing some time due to a hairline finger fracture and a shin laceration, and he'll get a breather after going 2-for-8 with an RBI and a run. Isiah Kiner-Falefa, who was claimed off waivers over the weekend, will make his season debut for Toronto at third base.
