  • Mariners' Miles Mastrobuoni: Continues to hit for average

Mastrobuoni went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 11-3 loss to Houston.

The lefty-hitting Mastrobuoni continues to work in tandem with Ben Williamson for reps at third base, though the former has been functioning on the short side of the platoon for most of the year. While Mastrobuoni is batting a strong .314 (16-for-51) with four RBI, five walks and three steals over 26 games since the start of June, he has zero extra-base hits since May 23.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Caps series with two more homers

Saurez went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Sunday's 5-3 win versus St. Louis.

The Arizona third baseman extended his team's lead to 4-0 with a 425-foot, three-run blast off Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas in the first inning. Suarez then returned in the third to slug a solo shot off Mikolas to reach the 35-homer mark for the second time in his career (the first time coming in 2019 with Cincinnati, when he totaled 49). This performance wrapped up a fantastic three-game weekend for the 34-year-old, as he went 5-for-10 with four long balls, seven RBI and five runs scored. Through 403 total plate appearances across 98 games, Suarez is slashing .257/.328/.601 with 85 RBI and 63 runs scored.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Astros' Isaac Paredes: Lands on injured list

The Astros placed Paredes on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a right hamstring strain, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Paredes departed Saturday's game in Seattle due to the injury and headed back to Houston on Sunday to undergo an MRI, the results of which have yet to be disclosed. The 26-year-old will be eligible to be reinstated July 30, but a longer absence could be in store given that manager Joe Espada said that the injury "doesn't look very good," per Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

White Sox's Josh Rojas: Out of Sunday's lineup

Rojas is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Rojas has a .461 OPS through 11 games in July and will sit for the second time in Chicago's first three contests of the second half. Colson Montgomery will shift to the hot corner while Chase Meidroth starts at shortstop and Lenyn Sosa mans second base.

  • Max Muncy SS | ATH

Athletics' Max Muncy: On bench Sunday

Muncy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Muncy went 1-for-8 with a strikeout and a caught stealing in the first two games after the All-Star break. Max Schuemann will instead man the keystone and bat eighth Sunday.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Not in Sunday's lineup

Andujar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Andujar has gone 5-for-12 with a double and two RBI in his past three games but will take a seat for Sunday's series finale in Cleveland. Gio Urshela will start at the hot corner and bat seventh versus Guardians righty Gavin Williams.

  • Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA

Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Out of Sunday's lineup

Peraza is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

Peraza has been operating as the Yankees' primary third baseman over the past couple weeks, but he hasn't taken advantage of the opportunity and has gone 3-for-29 with nine strikeouts so far in July. Jorbit Vivas is manning the hot corner for the series finale in Atlanta.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

Angels' Yoan Moncada: Hitting bench Sunday

Moncada is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Moncada will take a seat for the second time in the first three games of the second half, with both his absences coming against left-handed pitchers. The switch hitter has gone 2-for-19 versus southpaws this season, which stands in stark contrast to his .945 OPS against righties. Kevin Newman is starting at third base Sunday, as it appears he and Moncada are working in a loose platoon.

  • Brady House 3B | WAS

Nationals' Brady House: Taking seat Sunday

House is not in the Nationals' starting lineup Sunday versus San Diego.

House will get at least a partial breather Sunday after starting each of Washington's previous five contests. The young slugger has been hitting well, collecting at least one base knock in eight of his past nine contests and slashing .343/.361/.571 with two homers and five RBI during that span. With House beginning on the bench Sunday, Paul DeJong is getting a start at the hot corner.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Runs on field Sunday

Riley (abdomen) ran on the outfield and around the bases Sunday, and he seems likely to be activated from the injured list when first eligible Tuesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Riley's activity Sunday is another positive sign after he took batting practice Friday. The star third baseman was placed on the injured list with a right abdominal strain July 12, but he's said to be feeling better and optimistic about being able to return next week, possibly as soon as Tuesday when he's first eligible. While Riley has been out of action, Nacho Alvarez has been starting at third base for Atlanta.
