Ernie Clement SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: On base five times in win
Clement went 2-for-2 with three walks, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's win over the Red Sox.
The utility infielder continues to march toward a career-best campaign. Clement has recorded multiple hits in 10 of his last 14 games, a blistering stretch in which he's slashing .453/.500/.585 with four doubles, a homer, a steal, four RBI and 12 runs.

Matt Shaw SS | CHC
Cubs' Matt Shaw: Drives in three Friday
Shaw went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Astros.
It's been an up-and-down rookie campaign for Shaw, but he's shown flashes such as he did Friday, setting a new season and career best with the three RBI. It was also the second time this year that the 23-year-old tallied two doubles in a contest. Shaw is still slashing just .222/.297/.318 overall, though he's seeing pretty regular playing time as Chicago's primary option at third base, and he has the talent to get on a hot streak at any point.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | SEA
Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Logs two hits in return
Suarez went 2-for-4 in Friday's 9-8 loss to the Marlins.
Suarez returned to action after missing two games with a hand injury following a hit-by-pitch in Monday's contest against the White Sox. Discounting Monday's game, when Suarez had just one plate appearance, Friday's multi-hit effort was his fourth in the last five contests. The third baseman has gone 12-for-22 (.545) with four home runs and nine RBI during that stretch.

Ramon Urias 2B | HOU
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Records three hits as substitute
Urias went 3-for-4 with a two-run single, a steal and three runs scored in Friday's 22-8 win over the Rays.
Urias replaced Jordan Westburg in the second inning after the latter aggravated a left index finger injury while sliding into second base. Urias took advantage of the opportunity, smacking a two-run single in the same frame to cut the deficit to two runs before coming across to score three times, his most since May 5, 2024. Urias could be in line for some starts at the keystone if Westburg is sidelined.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Hits homer in win
Muncy went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run during Friday's 5-4 win over the Royals.
Muncy has been running hot at the plate. Including Friday's effort, he is 7-for-16 with four home runs and 15 RBI over his last four games, carrying the load for a Dodgers squad that has won five games in a row. The 34-year-old is up to 53 RBI while slashing .251/.377/.465 on the season.

Jordan Westburg 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Aggravates finger injury
Westburg aggravated his left index finger injury during Friday's 22-8 win over the Rays and is considered day-to-day, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Westburg had missed three games earlier in the week due to the injury, but he was able to return to the lineup. He aggravated the injury while sliding into second base on a double, but the good news is that X-rays came back negative. His status for Saturday's matinee is up in the air, and Ramon Urias -- who came in to pinch hit in the second inning -- would stand to see more time at the keystone if Westburg were to be sidelined.

Jordan Westburg 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Exits Friday's game
Westburg (finger) was removed in the second inning of Friday's game against the Rays due to left hand discomfort, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Westburg appeared to suffer the injury while sliding head-first into second base on a double. He initially stayed in to run the bases but was replaced by Ramon Urias in the second frame. Westburg will undergo further testing, and the Orioles should have an update during or shortly after Friday's game.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | SEA
Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Back in lineup
Suarez (hand) is starting at third base and batting fifth against the Marlins on Friday.
Suarez was hit on his right hand by a pitch against the White Sox on Monday, which caused him to miss the last two games of the series. He participated in light batting practice Wednesday, and he has since been cleared to return to the lineup for Friday's series opener. Suarez has slashed .307/.354/.760 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI in 82 plate appearances since the beginning of June.

Casey Schmitt SS | SF
Giants' Casey Schmitt: On bench Friday
Schmitt (wrist) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The 26-year-old was diagnosed with a bone bruise as a CT scan came back clean after Schmitt was hit by a pitch on the wrist Wednesday, though Schmitt said that "it's pretty messed up in there." He's been filling in as San Francisco's primary third baseman with Matt Chapman (hand) on the shelf, but Schmitt is now in danger of missing some time himself.

Alex Bregman 3B | BOS
Red Sox's Alex Bregman: Taking swings Friday
Bregman (quadriceps) will hit Friday and take groundballs Saturday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Bregman has been running since the start of June, but he hadn't yet resumed baseball activities. However, the third baseman will begin hitting and fielding groundballs this weekend, which is a big step in his recovery from a right quad strain. He isn't expected to return before the All-Star break, however.
