Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Slugs first homer
McMahon went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Cubs.
McMahon took Michael Rucker yard in the seventh inning to record his first home run of the season. It's been a relatively quiet start to the season for McMahon, though he has now collected at least one hit and one run in each of his last three starts. Overall, he has seven knocks across 33 plate appearances while driving in four and scoring six runs.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Mets' J.D. Davis: RBI and stolen base
Davis pinch hit and went 1-for-1 with a RBI and a stolen base in a 5-0 win Sunday over Arizona.
Davis pinch hit for Travis Jankowski in the sixth with lefty Oliver Perez on the mound and singled in a run to increase the Mets' lead to 2-0. He was then replaced in the field by Nick Plummer. It was the first RBI of the season for the 28-year-old Davis, in large part because he has only started three of the first 10 games. He has only appeared as a designated hitter or pinch hitter and has yet to play the field in 2022.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Phillies' Jean Segura: Back in lineup
Segura (hand) will start at second base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Marlins, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Segura will check back into the starting nine after a left hand injury kept him out of the lineup for the past three games. Bryson Stott will move back to the bench after filling in for Segura at the keystone during all three of those games.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Won't start Sunday
Hayes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Along with center fielder Bryan Reynolds, Hayes will get his first off day of the season as the Pirates look to extend breathers to their two most valuable position players. Michael Chavis, who went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Saturday's 6-4 win, will be rewarded with a second straight start and fill in for Hayes at third base.

Kevin Newman 3B | LAA
Pirates' Kevin Newman: Sidelined again Sunday
Newman (groin) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Newman will miss his third game in a row on account of the groin issue. Diego Castillo will draw the start at shortstop in place of Newman, who is being viewed as day-to-day. In the event Newman's groin forces him to the injured list, the Pirates could bring up top prospect Oneil Cruz from Triple-A Indianapolis to step in as the team's everyday shortstop.

Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA
Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Gets bat going
Wisdom went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's loss to the Rockies.
Wisdom came into the game with just three hits all season in 23 at-bats, which he managed to match in this contest alone. Jonathan Villar is batting .474 and playing regularly, but he's also serving a super-utility role, so Wisdom should still start at third base most days. He surprised with 28 home runs last year and could get going at the plate following Saturday's strong performance.

Kevin Newman 3B | LAA
Pirates' Kevin Newman: Dealing with groin issue
Newman is considered day-to-day with a groin injury, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Newman was out of the lineup Friday and Saturday. It's unclear whether the issue will cause a stint on the injured list. Cole Tucker and Hoy Park have gotten looks at shortstop in Newman's absence, while Oneil Cruz awaits a promotion at Triple-A Indianapolis.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Phillies' Jean Segura: Trending in right direction
Segura (hand) felt good after taking batting practice Saturday and thinks he could play Sunday against Miami, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Segura left Wednesday's game against the Mets after getting hit by a pitch in the hand and hasn't returned to action since. The fact that the Phillies have avoided placing him on the injured list suggests he could be back soon. His own optimism suggests the same, though it's worth noting he also said he believed he could play Thursday.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Placed on injured list
Senzel (illness) was placed on the injured list Saturday.
The fact that the Reds' announcement merely referred to the "injured list" rather than the "10-day injured list" suggests Senzel has been placed on the COVID-19 injured list. He's been battling an illness over the past few days, though there hadn't been any previous indication that his illness was coronavirus. Players can hit the COVID-19 injured list merely with COVID-like symptoms, however, which appears to be what's going on here per C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic. If he continues to avoid a positive test, he could be back within the next few days, but if he tests positive for the virus he'd likely miss more time. Daniel Duarte was recalled to take his place on the roster.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Reds' Kyle Farmer: Leading off Saturday
Farmer is starting at shortstop and leading off Saturday against the Dodgers, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
It's no surprise that Farmer is in the lineup, as he's started every game this season. However, his presence atop the order is significant given that he has primarily hit eighth across his first eight appearances. With southpaw Julio Urias on the mound and Jonathan India (hamstring) sidelined, Farmer will get his chance to lead off.
