Hayes went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and a stolen base in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Orioles.

He was the only Pirates hitter to have any real success on the night, as nobody else in the lineup managed an extra-base hit or even got on base more than once. Hayes is up to 12 steals on the season, but he's been struggling to build momentum at the plate since the All-Star break, slashing .217/.294/.326 over his last 13 games with one home run, one run and four RBI.

Muncy is not in Friday's lineup against the Padres, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

With Miguel Vargas and Chris Taylor active, Muncy may start to sit regularly against lefties, as he is for this contest against Sean Manaea. Muncy is slashing .250/.333/.417 with one home run and 12 strikeouts over his last 10 games.

McMahon is not in Friday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

McMahon experienced some rare road success this week, going 7-for-15 with one home run, two doubles and a stolen base in the four-game series that just wrapped up in San Diego. Elehuris Montero will start at third base and hit ninth.

Moustakas will sit Friday against the Brewers.

Moustakas finds himself on the bench for the third time in four games. All of his absences have come against lefties like Friday's starter Eric Lauer. Donovan Solano will be the designated hitter in his place.

Maton was called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.

Maton should take the bench role that had belonged to Yairo Munoz, who was optioned in a corresponding move. Maton owns a respectable .268/.336/.431 slash line in 54 career major-league games, though just two of those have come this season.

Davis went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Davis briefly gave the Giants a lead in the second inning, but it slipped away by the fourth. Davis has gone 2-for-8 in two contests since joining the Giants, starting at third base in both games while Evan Longoria (hamstring) remains sidelined. Through 68 games between the Giants and the Mets this year, Davis owns a .238/.321/.370 slash line with five homers, 23 RBI, 27 runs scored and a stolen base. He'll have a chance at regular playing time until the Giants get some players back from injury, which could push the 29-year-old into a short-side platoon role.

Anderson (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville this weekend, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Anderson has been on the injured list since July 24 but has been cleared to return to game action with the Triple-A club. The 29-year-old should be in the mix to rejoin the Marlins early next week.

McMahon went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a home run and five RBI Thursday against the Padres.

McMahon powered the Rockies' offense, highlighted by a three-run homer off Joe Musgrove in the fifth inning. He now has nine long balls on the season, two of which have come in his last 10 starts. While six of those games have come at home, McMahon has had a strong start to the team's road trip by collecting multiple hits in three consecutive contests. Overall, McMahon is hitting .241/.336/.384 across 405 plate appearances for the campaign.

Baty launched two two-run home runs for Double-A Binghamton on Thursday before the game was suspended due to severe weather, Michael Avallone of MLB.com reports.

The game will be completed Friday afternoon, with the Rumble Ponies already ahead 10-1 in the top of the third inning thanks in large part to Baty's own thunder. He's been locked in a lot longer than that, however -- over his last 16 games heading into Thursday, the 22-year-old slashed .424/.506/.742 with five homers and 20 RBI. Baty has soared up prospect rankings thanks to a breakout campaign, and with third base being the one spot in the Mets' infield that doesn't seem set for 2023, a big-league debut next season seems entirely possible if he continues slugging in the high minors.

Wisdom went 1-for-5 with two walks, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored across both games of Thursday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Wisdom did most of his damage in the second game, when he launched his 20th home run of the season and scored twice. The 30-year-old has now reached the 20-homer plateau in consecutive seasons after coming into last year with just four career long balls at the MLB level. He hit 28 home runs in 2021 and has a decent chance to surpass that in 2022 if he stays healthy.
