Garcia also struck out three times in the contest. He's on a nine-game hitting streak, going 12-for-37 (.324) in that span while racking up three steals, eight RBI and seven runs scored out of the leadoff spot. The infielder has a .281/.325/.387 slash line with 17 thefts, four home runs, 37 RBI and 35 runs scored through 78 contests overall.

Rafaela hit a home run for the fifth consecutive game Saturday in Triple-A Worcester's win over Syracuse.

Rafaela has launched 11 long balls in 30 games since being promoted to the WooSox in late June. The 22-year-old outfielder is slashing .317/.370/.683 at the advanced level, bettering his production at Double-A Portland by a wide margin. Worcester manager Chad Tracy notes the biggest improvement in Rafaela has been his plate discipline, per Jaylon Smoot of MLB.com. "He is focused on swinging at strikes, understanding what he's looking for and what area of the strike zone he's looking for," Tracy said. Rafaela's speed and defense have been his most notable assets, but the 5-foot-9, 195-pounder is showing an added tool to the package.

Jung went 2-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-8 come-from-behind win over Miami.

Jung hit the second of two two-run blasts in the fifth inning -- a 104.5-mph liner just inside the foul pole in left field -- to give Texas a lead it would not relinquish after falling behind 5-0. It was the 22nd home run for the rookie third baseman, who has multiple hits in three of the last four games.

Devers went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

His fourth-inning shot off Jose Berrios tied the score at 3-3, but Boston was never able to take a lead in the game. Devers has been locked in since the All-Star break, slashing .328/.394/.656 over his last 17 games with six of his 26 home runs on the season, as he closes in on the third 30-homer campaign of his career.

Ramirez was ejected from Saturday's game against the White Sox for his actions in a brawl during the seventh inning.

Ramirez and Chicago's Tim Anderson exchanged blows after the former slid into second base in the seventh frame, and both were removed from the contest. MLB will review the matter, and suspensions could be in the cards.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Friday's 7-3 win over the Red Sox.

He capped a five-homer eruption from the Blue Jays offense with a ninth-inning shot off Richard Bleier. Chapman's white-hot start to the season has faded, but he's remained reasonably productive -- in 20 games since the All-Star break, he's slashing .243/.384/.457 with three of his 15 homers on the season.

Paredes went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Friday against the Tigers.

Paredes collected his third multi-hit game in his last six starts. In that same span, he's also walked five times while tallying three homers, six RBI and five runs scored. Paredes has been a mainstay in the lineup this season -- deservedly so with his performance -- though he could begin to lose occasional starts due to the promotion of Curtis Mead.

Mead made his big-league debut in Friday's 8-0 win over the Tigers. He singled in his lone at-bat.

Recalled earlier in the day, Mead entered the game as a defensive replacement in the seventh inning -- perhaps not a dream scenario for a debut, but he now has his first hit out of the way and won't have that pressure on him when he makes his first career start. One of the top prospects in the Rays organization, Mead slashed .291/.379/.453 with three homers and three steals in 46 games for Triple-A Durham this season.

Moustakas went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 9-7 loss to the Mariners.

Moustakas had gone 11 games without a homer, though he hit a productive .318 (14-for-44) with four doubles in that span. The homer was his 10th of the year, and the infielder has reached double digits for the first time since 2019. He's slashing .270/.336/.451 with 34 RBI, 37 runs scored and 11 doubles over 76 contests between the Rockies and the Angels this season, but his power production has actually increased since leaving Coors Field -- six of his 10 long balls have come in his 29 games as an Angel. Moustakas should continue to see a strong-side platoon role at a minimum at third base.

Perez was outrighted to Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Perez was designated for assignment by the Astros on Tuesday and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 23-year-old has spent the large majority of this season at the Triple-A level and is slashing .255/.328/.399 with 10 homers and three steals through 87 games.
