Ramon Urias 2B | HOU
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Powers rout in Tuesday's matinee
Urias went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in a 16-4 win over the Blue Jays in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.
The veteran infielder went yard in the sixth and seventh innings as the Orioles broke open what had been a tight game to that point. Urias followed up his performance in the matinee by going 1-for-4 with an RBI in the nightcap, a 3-2 victory that completed the sweep. Urias started at third base in both contests with Toronto sending lefties Easton Lucas and Eric Lauer to the mound, and he should remain effective in a short-side platoon role given his .278/.338/.403 slash line against southpaws this season. However, six of his eight homers on the year have come against righties, including both of Tuesday's blasts.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Astros' Isaac Paredes: Could require hamstring surgery
Paredes could require season-ending surgery to repair his injured right hamstring, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
Paredes was placed on the 10-day injured list July 20 with a strained right hamstring, with Astros manager Joe Espada calling the injury "pretty significant." The third baseman is slated to receive a second opinion before making a decision on how to treat the injury, but surgery is evidently one of the possibilities. With Paredes' status for the rest of the season in doubt, Nightengale says the Astros are mulling trades for Carlos Correa, Nolan Arenado and Eugenio Suarez. Mauricio Dubon has been serving as the team's primary third baseman since Paredes went down.

Addison Barger 3B | TOR
Blue Jays' Addison Barger: Makes impact in twin bill
Barger went 3-for-8 with a double and a two-run home run across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader as the Blue Jays got swept by the Orioles.
The 25-year-old did his best to try and earn his team at least a split, homering in the matinee off Charlie Morton before ripping a one-out double in the eighth inning of the nightcap with the score tied 2-2, only to get stranded. Barger is slashing .294/.321/.529 over 13 games since the All-Star break with seven extra-base hits (four doubles, one triple and two homers), seven runs and 10 RBI.

Brooks Lee SS | MIN
Twins' Brooks Lee: Rips two homers
Lee went 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Tuesday's loss to Boston.
Lee came off the bench for Carlos Correa (illness) and delivered an offensive outburst. Lee put the Twins on the board with an RBI single in the fifth inning before knocking a pair of two-run homers in the seventh and ninth frames. It was his first career multi-homer performance and snapped a 23-game homer drought. During that skid, he went 11-for-70 (.157). Lee's five-RBI day matched his total from the previous 17 games combined. He's now slashing .256/.294/.387 with 20 extra-base hits and 43 RBI through 326 plate appearances.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
Angels' Yoan Moncada: Sitting again Tuesday
Moncada (hand) isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Moncada will miss a third consecutive start Tuesday after taking a pitch off his right hand during Saturday's game against the Mariners. It's worth noting the Angels are slated to face left-hander Patrick Corbin on Tuesday, and Moncada doesn't typically start against southpaws, so there's still a chance the veteran third baseman will be available off the bench.

Darell Hernaiz SS | ATH
Athletics' Darell Hernaiz: Recalled from Triple-A
The Athletics recalled Hernaiz from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old will join the big-league roster as the replacement for Jacob Wilson (forearm), who landed on the injured list Tuesday. Hernaiz has spent the entire season in Triple-A, slashing .305/.384/.423 with 50 RBI, 66 runs scored and 12 steals through 441 plate appearances. Max Schuemann will likely see the bulk of the starts at shortstop while Wilson is out, though Hernaiz could crack the starting nine against southpaws.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Hot streak continues
Garcia went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, an RBI and a walk in Monday's 10-7 loss against Atlanta.
Garcia got a break from the field Monday, serving as the designated hitter and making a strong impact at the plate. He extended his hitting streak to five games, during which he's slashing .500/.571/1.167 with two doubles, two triples, two home runs, a stolen base and five RBI. The 25-year-old is enjoying a true breakout campaign, slashing .301/.357/.476 with 28 doubles, five triples, 10 homers, 19 stolen bases and 46 RBI through 105 games. After recording an OPS below .600 in both 2023 and 2024, Garcia's current .833 OPS ranks second among Royals qualifiers, behind only Bobby Witt.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Homers in loss
Jung went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Angels.
Jung briefly tied the game at 3-3 with his sixth-inning home run. It extended the third baseman's hit streak to seven games and gave him four RBI over the last three contests. The home run was the 10th of the season for Jung, who has had a couple of rocky seasons since emerging as a rookie in 2023. A wrist injury derailed him in 2024, while a June swoon (.429 OPS) resulted in a trip back to the minors for a stretch this season.

Alex Bregman 3B | BOS
Red Sox's Alex Bregman: Goes yard in second straight game
Bregman went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Twins.
Bregman homered in his second straight game and collected a trio of RBI for the second time in the month of July. The star third baseman has posted at least one hit in 10 of his last 12 outings since coming off the injured list, during which he's batting a hot .302 with three round trippers, two doubles and nine RBI over 43 at-bats.

Luis Rengifo 3B | LAA
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Multi-hit performance in win
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's victory over the Rangers.
After Taylor Ward gave the Angels a one-run lead to start the sixth inning, Rengifo padded the advantage a few batters later with a two-run homer. The switch-hitting infielder has posted just a .612 OPS this season after topping .720 in each of the previous three years. While never known for his power, his 13 doubles, one triple and five home runs through 100 games translate to a weak .328 slugging percentage. Despite his struggles, Rengifo has continued to see steady playing time, thanks in part to his defensive versatility but also due to injuries to fellow infielders Yoan Moncada (hand), Chris Taylor (hand) and Christian Moore (thumb).
