Gonzales (heel) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Friday at Double-A Altoona, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Gonzales had been on the injured list with plantar fasciitis since the end of May, going 3-for-10 with a triple, a double, four RBI, a run and a steal over three games on a rehab assignment in the Florida Complex League prior to being activated. The 2020 first-round pick has a disappointing .742 OPS through 43 games with Altoona this season.

Hernandez (hip) is expected to return from the injured list sometime next week, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Hernandez began a rehab assignment Wednesday, and he'll appear in games at Double-A Portland on Friday and Saturday. He'll rest Sunday and Monday but will be in the mix to rejoin the Red Sox as early as Tuesday, when the team begins a three-game series in Pittsburgh.

Bannon was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Bannon was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Monday after being designated for assignment by the Orioles, but he didn't even get the chance to play in a minor-league game before he was designated again. As a 26-year-old with just four major-league games under his belt, he may not generate much interest on waivers this time around.

Andrus isn't starting Friday against the Astros.

Andrus is out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games after he went 0-for-5 with a strikeout Wednesday. Nick Allen will shift to shortstop while Chad Pinder starts in right field.

Lux is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Kansas City, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Lux started the past four games and will take a seat after going 3-for-14 with a double, a walk, three runs and a stolen base. Hanser Alberto will start at the keystone against Royals lefty Daniel Lynch.

Gorman isn't in the lineup Friday against the Brewers, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Gorman went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, two runs, a walk and a strikeout Thursday against Colorado but will be out of the lineup for the third time in the last five games. Albert Pujols is serving as the designated hitter and batting fifth.

Guillorme isn't starting Friday against Philadelphia.

Guillorme is getting a day off after he went 3-for-8 with a run over the last two games. Eduardo Escobar will take over at the hot corner and bat eighth.

Garcia (knee) is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Friday against the Padres.

Garcia is back in the lineup after being scratched Wednesday with a sore knee. The 22-year-old has been cold at the plate recently, producing just one hit over his last 13 at-bats.

Lowe is starting at designated hitter and batting fourth in Friday's series opener against the Orioles.

The 28-year-old will surrender second-base duties to Yu Chang. Lowe has gone 1-for-16 with eight strikeouts over his last four games, and removing him from the field could help him get back on track.

Lowe will sit Friday against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lowe will get a breather after he went 0-for-8 with four strikeouts over the last two games of the series with the Brewers. Yu Chang will take over at second base and bat fifth in the series opener.
