Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Drives in two, scores two
Polanco went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.
Polanco slashed a two-run single in the fourth inning and later recorded his ninth double of the year. Polanco has registered a hit in all but two games so far in August, and is hitting .286/.355/.400 in 37 games this season. The 25-year-old has one home run, two triples, 15 RBI and 19 runs on the year, while also going 4-for-6 on the basepaths.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Running on treadmill
Altuve (knee) progressed to running on a treadmill, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic Houston reports.
Altuve has been running on a treadmill for the past couple of days, and he's hoping to hit in the cage Tuesday or Wednesday. The reigning AL MVP, who has been sidelined since July 25 with a right knee injury, remains without a timetable for his return at this point.

Vidal Brujan SS | NYM
Rays' Vidal Brujan: Running hot at High-A
Brujan has gone 13-for-28 with a home run and four stolen bases over his first eight games at High-A Charlotte.
Brujan earned the promotion to the Florida State League on Aug. 6 after hitting .313 with 43 steals (in 58 attempts) for Low-A Bowling Green. The 20-year-old's combined total of 47 thefts rank as the third-best mark in all of the minors and will likely be the main driver of his fantasy value. Brujan's stellar plate discipline -- he owns an 11.2 percent walk rate and 9.7 percent strikeout rate over parts of four seasons in the minors -- will also aid his chances of eventually settling in as a leadoff man down the road.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Blue Jays' Brandon Drury: Set for follow-up appointment
Drury will receive follow-up imaging this week to assure his fractured hand is healing appropriately, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
Drury landed on the disabled list Aug. 7 with a fractured left hand, though he remains without a timetable for his return at this point. Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports that the infielder has been playing catch to keep his arm in shape while his fracture heals.

Yangervis Solarte 2B | SD
Blue Jays' Yangervis Solarte: Dealing with Grade 2 strain
Solarte is dealing with a Grade 2 oblique strain and will be reevaluated in three weeks, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
Solarte suffered the injury over the weekend, and a subsequent MRI revealed the 31-year-old will be sidelined for well beyond the minimum 10 days. He's set to be evaluated in a few weeks, after which a timetable for his return will hopefully emerge. Oblique injuries often tend to linger, so the Blue Jays -- who are well out of playoff contention -- figure to proceed cautiously with the veteran infielder. Russell Martin is starting at third base in his stead Monday.

Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Red Sox's Michael Chavis: On fire at Double-A
Chavis went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and two runs Sunday in Double-A Portland's 6-2 win over Akron.
Chavis and fellow corner infielder Bobby Dalbec combined for all three of Portland's extra-base hits on the day and have both been making life difficult for Eastern League pitchers of late. The former in particular has been destroying the opposition, with the 23-year-old notching at least two hits in five of his past six games. Since beginning his season in early July after completing an 80-game suspension following a positive test for performance-enhancing drugs, Travis has made up for the lost time by slashing a robust .309/.404/.556 across 94 plate appearances.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Unable to test knee over weekend
Altuve (knee) was unable to resume running over the weekend, Christian Boutwell of MLB.com reports.
Altuve was hoping to test his ability to run on the field over the weekend, but continued discomfort in his right knee limited the second baseman to rehab exercises inside the team's clubhouse. It's still unclear when the reigning AL MVP will be cleared to resume on-field work, leaving his return date up in the air. Altuve has been sidelined since July 25.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Athletics' Marcus Semien: Ropes another three hits
Semien went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI in Oakland's 8-7 win over the Angels on Sunday.
Semien followed up his three-hit, two-homer effort Saturday with another three-hit performance to bring his slash line up to .263/.322/.386 through 471 at-bats. That slugging percentage is still below what one would hope to get out of an everyday fantasy shortstop, but he's been hot lately, so if he keeps rolling that last slash number could work its way over .400 in the near future. All told, however, his current OPS of .708 is just about in line with his career mark of .712, so it wouldn't be surprising if it remains in that area.

Yangervis Solarte 2B | SD
Blue Jays' Yangervis Solarte: Officially lands on DL
Solarte (oblique) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
As expected, the versatile infielder will head to the DL to rehab an oblique injury he incurred in Saturday's contest. No timetable for his return has been announced yet, but oblique injuries are notorious for taking more than the minimum 10 days to heal. Catching prospect Danny Jansen will replace him on the active roster.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Athletics' Marcus Semien: Homers twice against Angels
Semien went 3-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's win over the Angels.
Semien touched up Tyler Skaggs twice, first in the second inning and then again in the fourth. He had been in the midst of a major power outage coming into Saturday, with his last home run coming all the way back on June 17. At least he's contributing something in the stolen-base department (12), and Semien will continue to get chances to lead off against left-handed pitching.
