  • Jose Abreu 1B | HOU

White Sox's Jose Abreu: Good to go Friday

Abreu (ankle) will start at first base and bat cleanup Friday against the Yankees.

The 34-year-old missed the three-game set versus Minnesota this week while battling ankle inflammation, but he'll rejoin the lineup as expected in New York. Abreu has a .395/.457/.763 slash line with three homers, three doubles, 14 RBI and 10 runs over his past 11 games and will attempt to pick up where he left off.

  • Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN

Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Back from injured list

Kirilloff (wrist) was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

The 23-year-old began a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday and will rejoin the Twins after going 2-for-6 with two homers over two games in the minors. Kirilloff had an everyday role prior to the injury between first base and left field, and he'll likely end up splitting reps with Miguel Sano at first and Luis Arraez in left since all three players are now healthy.

  • Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW

Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Slams fifth home run

Dalbec went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 8-7 win over the Blue Jays.

Dalbec hit a three-run home run off Steven Matz with two outs in the second inning. The 26-year-old has shown more promise as of late, with four home runs and eight extra-base hits coming in the last two weeks. However, he has struggled to reach base consistently, slashing .218/.271/.419 in 133 plate appearances. His 33.1 percent strikeout rate needs to come down if he's going to increase his on-base percentage.

  • Yuli Gurriel DH | SD

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Drives in four

Gurriel went 4-for-5 with four RBI, one run scored and two doubles Wednesday against the Athletics.

Gurriel delivered two big hits in the contest, the first a two-RBI double in the seventh inning. He followed that up with another two-run double in the following frame, which helped provide Houston with plenty of insurance runs. Gurriel continues to hit very well and has maintained a.338/.408/.576 slash line with seven home runs, 22 runs scored and 36 RBI across 41 games.

  • Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN

Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Rehab assignment imminent

Kirilloff (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Kirilloff will serve as the designated hitter Wednesday but could play in the outfield Thursday if all goes well. Manager Rocco Baldelli said that Kirilloff could only need a few days before returning to the majors, and he indicated that the outfielder could be activated during the Twins' weekend series in Cleveland. Kirilloff has been on the injured list since May 5 due to a right wrist sprain.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Indians' Josh Naylor: Late home run powers Cleveland

Naylor went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Angels.

Naylor had a single in the first and came up clutch late in the game when he gave Cleveland the lead with a solo home run in the eighth inning. The long ball proved to be the difference in the game as he raised his slash line to .265/.307/.424 with four home runs, 12 RBI and 17 runs scored.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Three-hit performance

Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox.

Guerrero recorded his second straight three-hit performance and extended his hitting streak to five games. The young outfielder has racked up three homers, two doubles, four RBI and five runs scored during that stretch, a span in which he's also posted a 1.431 OPS.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Hits 10th home run

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Astros.

Olson's only hit of the night came in the sixth when he took Christian Javier deep to right to tie the game at 3-3. He's now entered double-digit territory with 10 homers, and he's sporting a fantasy friendly slash line of .267/.346/.548 with 26 RBI and 21 runs scored.

  • Kevin Padlo 1B | LAD

Rays' Kevin Padlo: Returns to Triple-A

Padlo was optioned to Triple-A Durham after Tuesday's win at Baltimore, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

The 24-year-old had one at-bat off the bench Tuesday and is now 1-for-12 with a double and a run in nine appearances this season. Padlo could rejoin the Rays later in the season if the club requires depth in the corner infield.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Available off bench

Tellez (hamstring) is doing well and will be available off the bench Tuesday against the Red Sox, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Tellez's left hamstring appears to be mostly recovered after it forced him to exit Sunday's game against the Phillies. With just two homers on the season, Tellez's power has yet to make much of an impact, but his overall offensive numbers have been trending upward after a miserable start to 2021.
