Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Texans' Nick Chubb: Not practicing Wednesday
Chubb (undisclosed) wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
The Texans' upcoming injury report will clarify what caused Chubb's absence from the session, but with regard to the running back's status for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, coach DeMeco Ryans said "we'll see as the week goes on." If Chubb is limited or out versus Jacksonville, Woody Marks would be in line for added touches, with Dameon Pierce, Dare Ogunbowale and British Brooks also in Houston's Week 10 backfield mix.

Audric Estime RB | NO
Saints' Audric Estime: Joins active roster
The Saints signed Estime to their active roster Wednesday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
The second-year running back from Notre Dame signed with the Saints' practice squad in late October and has now earned a spot on the active roster. Estime appeared in 13 regular-season games for the Broncos in 2024, rushing 76 times for 310 yards and two touchdowns. He's likely to have a depth role in the Saints' backfield, playing behind Alvin Kamara and Devin Neal.

Rico Dowdle RB | PIT
Panthers' Rico Dowdle: Held out of practice Wednesday
Dowdle (quadriceps) is not practicing Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Dowdle was the engine of Carolina's offense during the team's upset Week 9 win over Green Bay, in which he rushed 25 times for 130 yards and two scores while catching two of three targets for 11 yards. He clearly played through pain versus the Packers, however, so it's not a complete surprise to see Dowdle now a non-participant at practice. He'll have two more chances to officially get back on the practice field before the Panthers decide whether to assign Dowdle an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against the Saints.

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Not slated to practice Wednesday
Stevenson (toe) won't practice Wednesday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Stevenson, who was inactive for the Patriots' Week 9 win over the Falcons, has two more chances to practice before injury designations are assigned for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. In his absence versus Atlanta, TreVeyon Henderson started and logged a 75 percent snap share, en route to carrying 14 times and being targeted six times, while Terrell Jennings was on the field for 25 percent of the team's snaps on offense, rushing 11 times and recording one target.
-
James Cook RB | BUF
Bills' James Cook: Not practicing Wednesday
Cook (ankle/foot) won't practice Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com, coach Sean McDermott noted the injury that sidelined Cook Wednesday popped up during this past Sunday's win over the Chiefs, while adding that the running back has been sore the last couple days. Cook thus has two more chances to practice ahead of this weekend's game against the Dolphins, but if he's limited or out in Week 10, added snaps would be available for Ty Johnson and Ray Davis.
-
Bucky Irving RB | TB
Buccaneers' Bucky Irving: Not in line to practice
Irving (foot/shoulder) is not expected to participate in Wednesday's practice, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Irving evidently remains in the rehab phase of his recovery from foot and shoulder injuries that have kept him sidelined since Week 4 despite the fact that the Buccaneers are coming off a bye. If he's unable to gain clearance for Sunday's home matchup against the Patriots, Tampa Bay will proceed with a familiar backfield deployment that features Rachaad White and Sean Tucker as its lead options. Chris Godwin (lower leg) is also expected to miss Wednesday's practice.

Michael Carter RB | TEN
Cardinals' Michael Carter: Reverts to practice squad
Carter reverted to the Cardinals' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Carter did not play a single snap as Bam Knight and Emari Demercado served as the Cardinals' two running backs during the 27-17 victory. Arizona has used up all three of Carter's elevations from the practice squad, so he would have to be signed to the 53-man roster in order for play for the Cardinals again this season. However, with Trey Benson (knee) close to returning from injured reserve, Carter's window for utility may have already closed.
-
Malik Davis RB | DAL
Malik Davis: Gets waived
Dallas waived Davis on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The Cowboys signed Davis to their active roster Monday ahead of their game versus the Cardinals, but now he's headed to waivers just one day later. He could be a candidate to join back up with Dallas' practice squad if he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period.
-
Jonathan Ward RB | NE
Jonathan Ward: Being released from practice squad
New England released Ward from its practice squad Tuesday.
In a corresponding transaction, the Patriots signed wide receiver Brenden Rice to their practice squad. Ward's stint with the team lasted just one week, and now he'll have to start seeking another opportunity elsewhere.

DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC
DeeJay Dallas: Staying in Carolina
The Panthers signed Dallas to the practice squad Tuesday, Kassidy Hill of the team's official site reports.
Dallas was released from the Panthers' active roster Saturday, but the 2020 fourth-rounder has opted to stay in Carolina as a member of the team's practice squad. He would be a top candidate to be elevated to the Panthers' 53-man roster if Rico Dowdle, Chuba Hubbard or Trevor Etienne were to miss time due to injury, illness or suspension. Dallas played for the Panthers in Weeks 5 and 6 and accumulated 141 kick return yards.
