  • Saints' Julian Blackmon: Participating in minicamp

Blackmon (shoulder) is participating in minicamp, Ross Jackson of LouisianaSports.net reports.

The safety played in just one game in 2025 due to a shoulder injury, but he nonetheless re-signed with the Saints in January. Blackmon recorded 86 tackles with the Colts in 2024.

  • Saints' Trey Palmer: Participating in minicamp

Palmer (ankle) is participating in minicamp, Ross Jackson of LouisianaSports.net reports.

The wide receiver was placed on injured reserve with an ankle issue during October of last season. Palmer did not appear in a regular-season game in 2025.

  • Saints' Kendre Miller: Limited at minicamp practice

Miller (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Ross Jackson of LouisianaSports.Net reports.

The running back was not practicing during OTAs as recently as late May after tearing his ACL in Week 7 of the 2025 campaign. Now, though, he appears to be back, at least on a limited basis. At the moment, the 2023 third-round pick faces a crowded backfield situation in New Orleans, with free-agent signing Travis Etienne, veteran Alvin Kamara and 2025 sixth-round pick Devin Neal.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Limited at OTAs after blood clot

Olave (illness) has been limited to individual drills at OTAs after undergoing treatment for a blood clot in January, Matthew Paras of Nola.com reports.

"[Olave] hasn't been able to do the team activities obviously throughout OTAs," said Saints coach Kellen Moore. "The blood clot was related to not participating in team and some of those things." For his part, Olave told reporters that it only took a week to feel normal again when he first got treatment for the blood clot back in January (missing Week 18 in the process). It's apparently a longer process to get clearance for full practice participation, with Olave saying, "I just put my best foot forward, (and am) just trying to do everything right so I can be healthy at the beginning of the year."

  • Saints' Christen Miller: Dealing with hamstring issue

Miller has been sidelined for minicamp due to a hamstring injury, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

The 2026 second-round pick from Georgia appeared in 26 games during his final two collegiate seasons, posting 50 total tackles, including 7.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks. Once Miller returns to full health, he's expected to operate as one of New Orleans' top interior defensive linemen.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Hasn't discussed pay cut yet

Kamara said Wednesday that he hasn't been asked to take a pay cut, Matthew Paras of The Advocate reports. "I haven't had any conversations in regard to that, so I don't know," Kamara said. "I think there's a time and a place for everything. If that conversation comes up, then I'll have an answer for you when it comes up."

Kamara typically skips the voluntary offseason program, and he seemed to be doing the same this year until he arrived Wednesday during the second week of OTA practices. It sounds like he now plans to stick around for a few more voluntary sessions before mandatory minicamp June 16-17. Kamara's NFL future nonetheless remains uncertain, with a complicated contract situation after repeated extensions and restructures in New Orleans. A trade or release could help the Saints' cap sheet for 2027, which the team ultimately might consider more valuable than whatever Kamara can provide off the bench behind new lead back Travis Etienne. The Saints seemingly want to give Kamara a chance this summer to prove that he can still be a useful player, albeit in a lesser role after Etienne signed a four-year contract with $24 million guaranteed at signing. It appears Kamara has recovered from the MCL sprain and ankle injury that cut his 2025 campaign short.

  • Saints' Ja'Lynn Polk: Catching passes in OTAs

Polk (shoulder) is participating in the Saints' OTAs, Ross Jackson of LouisianaSports.net reports.

Polk was forced to miss the entire 2025 season due to a shoulder injury he suffered in the preseason, but it appears he's healthy again with offseason workouts now in progress. New Orleans added first-rounder Jordyn Tyson, fourth-rounder Bryce Lance and sixth-rounder Barion Brown in the 2026 NFL Draft back in April, so Polk's potential path to a spot on the final 53-man roster is a narrow one.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Shows up for OTAs

Saints head coach Kellen Moore said Wednesday that Kamara (knee/ankle) is attending voluntary OTAs on Wednesday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Kamara didn't attend New Orleans' voluntary practices throughout the month of May, instead working out on a daily basis with his personal trainers, but the veteran running back has now returned to team facilities. Moore said he isn't sure whether Kamara has spoken with the team regarding his current contract situation, per Triplett. He carries a $10.4 million cap hit for 2026 and the Saints inked Travis Etienne to a four-year, $48 million deal in March, leading to speculation that Kamara -- who sat out final six contests of the 2025 campaign due to both an MCL sprain and an ankle issue and finished the year with a career-low 471 rushing yards -- could be a trade candidate. However, Kamara has previously hinted that he wants to either play for the Saints or retire. Moore said Kamara will be on the practice field in some capacity Wednesday, per Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana.

  • Saints' Kendre Miller: Working through rehab at OTAs

Saints head coach Kellen Moore said Thursday that Miller (ACL) is not practicing during OTAs as he continues to progress through his rehab, Arye Pulli of USA Today reports.

Miller is recovering from a torn ACL suffered Week 7 of the 2025 campaign, an injury which derailed what was otherwise shaping up to be an impressive season. Prior to tearing his ACL, Miller had compiled a 47-193-1 rushing line across seven games while handling a complementary role behind Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle). He also had five catches for 30 yards and 393 kickoff-return yards. Now, in addition to completing his rehab and making a full recovery, Miller faces the difficult task of competing for a role behind new No. 1 option Travis Etienne, Kamara, and 2025 sixth-rounder Devin Neal (hamstring).

  • Saints' Spencer Rattler: Getting work in at OTAs

Rattler (finger) is participating during the Saints' OTAs, John Sigler of USA Today reports.

Rattler was inactive for New Orleans' season finale at Atlanta back in January due to a finger injury, but it doesn't seem to be an issue for him any longer. He'll be competing with Zach Wilson for the backup quarterback spot behind 2025 second-rounder Tyler Shough in 2026.

  • Saints' Jordyn Tyson: Remains limited at OTAs

Tyson (undisclosed) has remained a limited participant at OTAs this week, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

The No. 8 overall pick in the Draft last month, Tyson was dealing with an injury during rookie minicamp earlier this month and has remained limited to start OTAs. The nature of the injury isn't known, but Tyson has been dressed out in full pads and a helmet, suggesting it's not an overly serious issue. Devaughn Vele has been getting extra reps with the first-team offense with Tyson limited to 7-on-7 work. Tyson should be ready for training camp later this summer.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Preparing for 2026 campaign

Kamara (knee/ankle) is still working out with his trainers daily in preparation for the 2026 season, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Kamara was absent from the Saints' OTA session Wednesday, as has been the case, while his future with the team remains in question. The running back missed the final six contests of the 2025 campaign while nursing both an MCL sprain and an ankle issue, and it's unclear if he's back to full health yet. Kamara recorded a career-low 471 rushing yards and one touchdown on 131 carries while also reeling in 33 of 39 targets for 186 yards over 11 regular-season games this past year. With the Saints signing Travis Etienne to a four-year, $48 million contract in March, Kamara would likely operate as the No. 2 option in the backfield with New Orleans this season, if he sticks around.
