Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Secures touchdown in loss
Gesicki caught all three of his targets for 37 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 30-27 loss to Pittsburgh.
Gesicki took a step back in the right direction after he was blanked in the team's Week 2 victory over Houston. The tight end was able to finished tied with wide receiver Dohnte Meyers for third on the team in catches, and he left his mark on the game in the fourth quarter, connecting with quarterback Joe Burrow for a 25-yard touchdown. Gesicki has now caught eight of 10 targets for 112 yards and two touchdowns over three regular-season contests so far in 2026.

Bengals' Evan McPherson: Perfect on five kicks
McPherson made both of his field-goal attempts and each of his three extra-point tries during Sunday's 30-27 loss to Pittsburgh.
McPherson's first made field goal came from 50 yards out, which was his fifth made field goal from 50-plus yards this season. He has yet to miss a kick through three regular-season games, and he'll continue to operate with a higher scoring floor than most kickers for as long as the Bengals' offense under Joe Burrow continues to move the ball. Up next is a Week 4 home tilt against the Jaguars on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Bengals' Tee Higgins: Efficient in Week 3 loss
Higgins brought in six of seven targets for 90 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.
Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase turned in signature performances in the high-scoring loss, and the former finished as the runner-up in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the day to his talented teammate. Higgins' first score of the season came on a 28-yard grab late in the first half, knotting the score at 17-17 going into halftime. Through three games, Higgins is on pace for a potential third career 1,000-yard season, as he's quickly amassed a 14-244-1 line on 23 targets.

Bengals' Chase Brown: Finishes with 69 total yards in loss
Brown rushed 13 times for 61 yards and brought in both targets for eight yards in the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.
Brown continued his career-long tradition of efficient rushing performances against the Steelers, but the running back's overall opportunities were at least somewhat capped due to game script. The versatile back also struggled to make an impact in the passing game for the second straight game after opening the season with a 5-22-0 receiving line, as he's produced the same number of receptions for just 10 yards over the last two contests. Brown should continue in a workhorse role against the Jaguars at home next Sunday.

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Busy afternoon in loss
Chase brought in nine of 12 targets for 98 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.
Chase paced the Bengals in receptions, receiving yards and targets, taking his customary position at the top of the team's pass-catching corps. The All-Pro wideout recorded his touchdown on a three-yard grab with just under six minutes remaining in the first quarter to answer a Steelers opening-drive score, marking his third trip to the end zone already this season. Chase will aim to stay just as productive when the Jaguars pay a visit for a Week 4 showdown next Sunday.

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Critical turnover sullies solid day
Burrow completed 28 of 37 passes for 282 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions while adding two rushes for 13 yards in the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Steelers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Burrow was impressive throughout the majority of the afternoon, taking just one sack from Pittsburgh's aggressive defense and connecting with Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Mike Gesicki for his trio of scoring tosses. Burrow spread the ball around to nine different targets overall on an afternoon he entered already down Andrei Iosivas (IR, thumb) and during which he then lost promising rookie Colbie Young (knee). However, a would-be game-tying or game-winning drive was also short-circuited by the franchise signal-caller, as he lost the handle on the ball on a sack with under a minute remaining, snuffing out any chance of Cincinnati being able to at least force overtime. The highly untimely turnover aside, Burrow has looked comfortable with an offensive approach that has him under center more often than previous seasons, and he'll next take aim at the Jaguars in a Week 4 home matchup next Sunday.

Cook left in the first half of Sunday's game due to an ankle injury, but he was back on the field for the second half after being cleared by medical staff.

Davis appeared to tweak his hamstring early in the third quarter, and he's being evaluated by medical staff to determine whether he can return to Sunday's game. Tacario Davis will see more snaps on defense for as long as Davis is out of the game.
