  • Cardinals' Jacoby Brissett: Tosses two TDs in rout

Brissett completed 21 of 37 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 37-14 loss to the Bengals.

The Cardinals defense had no success at all slowing down Joe Burrow, so Brissett's efforts -- which included a 38-yard TD to Michael Wilson in the second quarter and an 18-yard score to Trey McBride in the fourth -- didn't make much impact. The veteran has tossed multiple touchdowns in nine of his 11 starts this season, posting a 21:7 TD:INT over that stretch as he makes a case for a starting job in 2026, whether with Arizona or someone else. With an undrafted rookie in Kedon Slovis as his backup, Brissett could still be under center in Week 18 against the Rams, even with nothing on the line for the Cards but draft position.

  • Drake Maye QB | NE

Patriots' Drake Maye: Tosses five TDs in win over Jets

Maye completed 19 of 21 passing attempts for 256 yards and five touchdowns while rushing three times for 22 yards in Sunday's 42-10 win over the Jets.

Maye dissected the Jets for six touchdowns in as many drives, five of which came through the air. The recipients of Maye's five touchdown passes were Austin Hooper (two yards), Rhamondre Stevenson (22 yards), Stefon Diggs (three yards), Hunter Henry (13 yards) and Efton Chism (10 yards). Maye got the rest of the afternoon off after New England took a 42-3 lead in the third quarter, with Joshua Dobbs mopping up from there. The Patriots maintained first place in the AFC East with the win and would need a Week 18 win over the Dolphins coupled with a Denver loss to the Chargers to clinch the top seed in the AFC, which would come with a bye in the wild-card round. Maye and the rest of the starters should play as usual against the Dolphins with the No. 1 seed still in play for the Patriots.

  • Sam Howell QB | DAL

Eagles' Sam Howell: Operating as No. 3 QB in Week 17

Howell (coach's decision) is inactive but operating as the Eagles' emergency third quarterback Sunday versus the Bills.

Howell will once again serve as the team's No. 3 option at QB in Week 17. The 25-year-old will only be able to enter the game if both Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee are sidelined.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Giants' Russell Wilson: Emergency No. 3 QB again

Wilson is the Giants' emergency third QB for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Jaxson Dart will thus be backed up by Jameis Winston on Sunday, with Wilson once again set to serve as the team's No. 3 QB in Week 17. Barring an injury to Dart or Winston, that's a role Wilson figures to reprise in next weekend's season finale.

  • Raiders' Aidan O'Connell: Emergency QB3 for Week 17

O'Connell (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Raiders' emergency third quarterback against the Giants on Sunday.

O'Connell will not be allowed to play Sunday unless both Geno Smith and Kenny Pickett were to be taken out of the game due to injury, illness or ejection. O'Connell has yet to see regular-season action in 2025.

  • Jalen Milroe QB | SEA

Seahawks' Jalen Milroe: Emergency QB for Week 17

Milroe (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Seahawks' emergency third quarterback against the Panthers on Sunday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Milroe will be the QB3 while Drew Lock serves as Sam Darnold's backup. As such, Milore is not allowed to play Sunday unless both Darnold and Lock were to leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection. Milroe hasn't played since Week 5 against the Buccaneers.

  • Buccaneers' Connor Bazelak: Emergency QB for Week 17

Bazelak (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins but will serve as the Buccaneers' emergency third quarterback, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

Bazelak will continue in his typical role as the No. 3 quarterback behind Baker Mayfield and Teddy Bridgewater. The reserve QB will be able to enter the game only if both quarterbacks on the active roster exit due to injury, illness or ejection.

  • Dillon Gabriel QB | CLE

Browns' Dillon Gabriel: Inactive for Week 17

Gabriel (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Gabriel finds himself inactive for the first time this season, and his shoulder injury appears to be severe enough to prevent him from backing up fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders in Sunday's contest. Bailey Zappe will serve as Sanders' understudy this week.

  • Bengals' Jake Browning: Emergency QB3 for Week 17

Browning (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Bengals' emergency third quarterback against the Cardinals on Sunday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Browning won't be allowed to see the field Sunday unless both Joe Burrow and Joe Flacco were to be taken out of the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Emergency No. 3 QB again

Tagovailoa is listed as the Dolphins' emergency third QB for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

As a result, Quinn Ewers and Zach Wilson are Miami's active signal-callers versus Tampa Bay. The Dolphins, who have been eliminated from playoff contention, close their 2025 season next weekend against the Patriots.
