Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Mets' Jorge Polanco: Sitting down Thursday
Polanco isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Polanco will step out of the lineup Thursday after going 4-for-17 with a double over his last four games. His absence will move Francisco Alvarez into the DH spot while Luis Torrens starts behind the plate and bats eighth.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Nolan Arenado: Getting breather Thursday
Arenado is absent from the lineup for Thursday's tilt against the Mets.
Arenado's tenure in Arizona has not gotten off to the best start, as he's just 8-for-40 with no home runs and a 1:10 BB:K. Jose Fernandez will play third base and bat fifth for the Diamondbacks in Arenado's stead.

Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Sitting out Thursday
Moreno is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Mets.
It's a routine day of rest for Moreno, who has reached base three times and driven in a run in the first two games of the series. James McCann will do the catching and bat sixth for the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Corbin Carroll RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Grabs first day off
Carroll is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Mets.
It's the first day off this season for Carroll, who is 7-for-14 at the plate across his last three games. Jorge Barrosa will handle right field and bat ninth in Thursday's rubber match.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Leaves game with flank discomfort
Rooker was pulled from Thursday's game against the Yankees in the first inning due to right flank discomfort, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Rooker tweaked his side on a swing and was removed from the contest mid at-bat. He will undergo imaging Friday, Gallegos adds, before more is known about Rooker's condition, but a trip to the injured list could be in the cards. If Rooker is forced to miss time, it could result in additional playing time for Carlos Cortes and/or Andy Ibanez.

Jesse Scholtens RP | TB
Rays' Jesse Scholtens: Optioned to Durham
The Rays optioned Scholtens to Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.
The 32-year-old righty was recalled from Triple-A on Wednesday to give Tampa Bay an extra bullpen arm while Drew Rasmussen was away on paternity leave. Scholtens delivered a strong performance with the Rays, firing 4.2 shutout innings against the Cubs on Wednesday, but his stint in the majors will last just 24 hours, suggesting that Rasmussen will rejoin the team to start against the Yankees on Friday.

Fernando Tatis Jr. RF | SD
Padres' Fernando Tatis: Steals home Wednesday
Tatis went 1-for-5 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base Wednesday in an 8-2 win against Pittsburgh.
Tatis' offensive contributions came in the ninth inning, when he singled in a run and later scored on a double steal that included him swiping home. It was his third stolen base on as many attempts this season as he seeks to reach the 30-steal mark for a second straight year. While the thefts are nice, Tatis was typically a top-20 pick in fantasy drafts, so his zero homers and .196/.283/.261 slash line through 12 games leave a lot to be desired.

Griffin Conine RF | MIA
Marlins' Griffin Conine: Pulled with hamstring injury
Conine was removed from Thursday's game versus the Reds in the top of the sixth inning with left hamstring discomfort, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports.
Conine attempted a diving catch in left field and then got up grabbing the back of his leg before walking off with the Marlins' trainer. He was hitless in two plate appearances before exiting. Miami should have more information on Conine's injury after the game, but he could be headed for the injured list.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Exits Thursday's game with injury
Rooker departed Thursday's game versus the Yankees in the first inning with an undisclosed injury, the "Talkin' Baseball" podcast by Jomboy Media reports.
Rooker took a healthy cut at a Ryan Weathers changeup and fouled it off but looked to tweak something in the process. He was visited by the Athletics trainer and quickly retreated to the clubhouse. The A's should provide more clarity on Rooker's injury soon. Lawrence Butler replaced Rooker in Thursday's contest.

Nick Nastrini SP | LAD
Nick Nastrini: Cut loose by Dodgers
The Dodgers released Nastrini on Tuesday.
Nastrini held an 8.56 ERA and 49:50 K:BB over 47.1 innings at the Triple-A level last season. This season, he made only one appearance with Double-A Tulsa, walking all three batters he faced. The 26-year-old has always had control problems, but they've gotten so bad to this point that he might have the yips.
